Im a big fan of fusion foods, so we asked Curry Pundits to cater our wedding mendhi party in Santa Clara. They were FABULOUS! The staff took great care in setting up a beautiful buffet to feed our 70-something mix of American and Indian family members. FOOD: They took great care to balance the spiciness of foods for both the spice-tolerant Indian palette and my American familys very spice-intolerant needs, as well as to include a nice balance of meaty and vegetarian dishes (Im vegetarian). The food (including the vegetarian dishes) was all very flavorful and well cooked (not too dry). They even brought in a tandoor oven the night before - talk about authentic service! PRESENTATION: Their presentation was classy: black tablecloths, clean black uniforms on the staff, good organization and layout of the dishes. They even served flambe for dessert, which kept our guests entertained (especially the kids). SERVICE: The staff were polite and humorous, and ready to serve our every need. They came up with funny and informative name labels for each dish, which we appreciated. Most importantly, the staff are friendly and considerate. OVERALL: I would definitely hire them again!

Indian food! Mexican food! With their powers combined, we have Currito! The style at this restaurant is much like Chipotle. You go down an assembly line, pick your base, filling, curry, and any other whatnots you want in your food. Easy in, easy out. Currito is the best choice if you need something portable. I filled my currito with chicken kabob, brown rice (although it looked like white to me), vindaloo curry, lettuce, and mint chutney. The vindaloo curry has a kick to it, so if you cant eat spicy, dont get this curry. The end result was a massive sized burrito that kept me full the rest of the night and probably the next morning, too. The curry kept the inside of the burrito juicy, so that was nice. However, near the end, all the sauce pooled to the bottom and finishing it got a bit messy. Although delicious, I do not find myself driving all the way to San Jose to eat here. If I worked in downtown SJ though, this spot would probably be a regular for me.

Reasonably decent food here. Everything was prepared fresh to order and came out reasonably quickly. Flavors were in line with what you might consider indian flavors. I got their curry bowl, with samosa chaat, garlic naan and a mango lassi which was $22 after tax/tip. The mango lassi had good flavor but the mangos they used were not cleaned properly and there were bits of mango skin in the drink. Overall, this place is OK and worth a try if you want to try something different from proper indian food but still kind of tastes like indian food.

Went once, that was enough. Got a goat/lamb curry bowl, the meat was a bit slimy and not microwaved enough to heat it all the way up, the "sides" in with it were OK but nothing stellar. Patrons are not trusted with forks, you never know, LuAnn Platters Mom might come in. So its some sort of spork-like implement or get with the feel of the general area and be a well prepared hobo and bring a spoon in your sock.

Indian street food. Not great. Service was just ok, there was only me and one other customer, my riata came several minutes after my burrito was served, then my Chai tea came out several minutes after that. Front desk lady did not give me utinsals, nakins, straw or sugar for my tea, kept telling where they were so I had to walk back and collect them myself. Food was just ok. Wont recommend or eat there again.

Found it ok ... Vindaloo is spicy, standalone samosa was not that great (was not well packed and prepared, even though it might have been cooked as in well cooked). Vada pay was good Samosa Chaat also was good, could reduce the onions or chop them fine or use a different variety. It comes with yogurt so if you not a fan make sure to request them

The best Indian food in San Jose for a VERY REASONABLE PRICE. A meal here costs around $8 for a very generous portion. The food tastes great and they give lots of free condiments. The curry bowl has so many combinations. This place is a perfect Indian fast and casual restaurant for a strapped-on-cash student. Please support this place!

The lady at the front counter handled food without gloves and was also talking over the phone simultaneously. Also, I was supposed to get a student discount which I didnt get. She stated that she did not have manager password to apply the discount. Very unhygenic and highly unrecommended.

The best Indian food in downtown. I love how this quick and casual place is so unique with their Mexican and Indian fusion. The avocado chutney and samosas are the best appetizers in preparation for their signature currito. Working in downtown this is the #1 pick for my lunch break.

We went there around 6:30 in the evening. We were seated but then no service for next 15 mins. There was only one other party so they cant be too busy. Nobody even asked for water or anything to drink. I decided to leave.

Three of us went there to try the currito and curry bowl and all of us had upset stomach afterwards. The place was totally empty during our visit and looks like the food was stale. We plan to not to visit again.

The Staff was rude and the food was acceptable at best. Would not recommend. Not sure if the person making my food had changed his gloves before making it (he used the same gloves to accept payments).

As good as it gets! Curry flavors are really delicious. I prefer their meals to their burritos. Their Saag is great! Lamb and chicken are both very tasty!

I ordered a non veg combo and it was tasteless. Chicken curry and dal both sucked big time. Well the only good thing is that its open late night.
