My friend and I went for their buffet few weeks back. At that time we didnt realize they were bought by Taza. With the first bite of Dal Makani we realized that it had gone bad. You get that when a dal has been reheated multiple days and it goes pungent and a little slimy. When asked if the dal was fresh they said yes. We asked them to taste it as it was clearly spoiled. After multiple rounds of tasting by various folks in the kitchen they came and removed the whole tray of dal and told us the chef was preparing fresh dal for us. After that experience we didnt any non veg since we were not sure how old the food was. When we were told Taza is now the new owner it didnt surprise us as multiple times we had issues with stale food being served, once all 15 samosas were bad by the time we got home and served to our guests. Dont recommend unless they change their policy around food freshness.

I discovered this place in 2013 and make a point of eating there whenever Im in the neighborhood. I am partial to Biryani after trying it in Hyderabad some time ago where this dish was born. Since then, Ive tried to find a place that can produce something at least close to it which is incredibly difficult. The short story is Haveli does an excellent Biryani - be sure to try the goat biryani, theres no looking back! The lunch buffet is fair, naan is good enough, but the dinner product is, as it should be, a big step up. My wife and I took a couple out to eat there last night, ordered far too much food (had enough leftovers to cover dinner the next day), and beer all for $86 after tax. HIGHLY recommend!

STAY AWAY!!! YOU WILL UPSET YOUR STOMACH !! One of the WORST FOOD even we can get in this area. We were on pleasonton for the mathleauge competition on Saturday 1/10/2015 and our family was really tired and hungry after the competition. We went to this restaurant for food and the food and food was awful. The Lucknow Biryani was frozen before and served with just boiled chicken on it. The meat and seafood BBQ item was horrible, it tasted like we were eating some tasteless meat. The owner suddenly came in with bunch of his friends in coat and suit and started serving hard drinks to his friends. Its like an Adda for them looks like. All of us have stomach ache this morning.

Okay, so I goto this place for a takeout. I order Samosas, Chane Bhatura and Pani Puri. Well, the first clue should have been that there was no one in the restaurant but I thought it is early. I ordered food and took it home. The chanas were old and had foul smell, aloos for pani puri were the same old and stank as the food is couple of days old. Needless to say we did not eat anything. I called the restaurant and the guy says food has no problem but when I told him that I will report to the city then he says please bring it back and he will replace. it. Terrible, terrible food... DO NOT EAT HERE OR YOU WILL GET SICK.

Having eaten at many indian restaurants, both here and abroad, my tastes may a bit more tuned than a first timer. I have yet to find a single restaurant that excels in everything and each person has there own standard. Personally, I have found that the meat dishes; Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb are outstanding here. I also love eggplant and Haveli has excellent eggplant dishes. I cant comment too much on the vegetarian dishes as I am more of a meat eater. Despite negative comments from others regarding the service, I have always found this place to be friendly and fair.

we love their chicken tikka masala and the saag paneer - however from yesterdays visit, we found out theyve been bought by the neighboring Tazza Cafe. I was really excited about my food when I got home after picking the items up - but what a disappointment! neither dish, even the rice are the same - they dont taste as good and the food texture has changed too. Really sad that after having found a place that has good indian food, even if theyre on the pricey side, we will have to give it up.

This used to be our all time favorite Indian food place, but we ordered the food tonight and the found out they had been bought and under new management. The food used to be amazing, high quality, and addicting. But now its obviously much lower quality meat and the sauces are bland. Just really disappointing. The chicken was spongey dark meat and the naan tasted like it had been frozen. Not good.

We chose this place based on distance and Yelp reviews and were amazed by how good the food was. We didnt quite expect the rich flavor, but I guess thats just the way the hole-in-the-wall places go. When in doubt, try it out!

Hi folks, this is my favorite Indian restaurant in the east bay. They have a wonderful buffet every day. I recommend the curry lamb and chicken Tikka marsala. The owners and staff are great as well.

One of the worst places to have Indian food...The place is so congested...I ate their Lunch Buffet...There was no variety, no snacks...Never going to this place again!!

Food and service is pretty decent here. We expected the food to be more spicy, but the spice level is medium. You should give it a try if you had not been here.

Hands down the best I have found in the east bay. Service is so so. But I have yet to find an Indian place with decent service.
