Heard about it from my friend who is yoga teacher. I just ate here for the first time. My wife and I were excited because it was Indian and fully vegetarian. My wife is traditional Indian and she wont eat any food with onions or garlic in it. So because of this I usually judge an Indian restaurant if they are able to cook without onions or garlic because those two spices cover up everything. They have the skills to do without them. Food was neither over spiced nor oily. I eat at Indian restaurants all over the bay area and I have an indian wife who always cooks Indian food, and I lived in India for 3 years. So I know something about indian food. This place has become my favorite Indian food in the bay area. Waiter was humble also. And the paneer paratha had tons of paneer in it they didnt skim on the good stuff. Good job guys!

-1 Star for the servers rushing for no apperent reason. No one ever came back to check on the water until we flagged them down, and while pouring the water, he splashed some on the plate next to the glass. SLOW DOWN!! I guess pouring the water while standing right behind my brother didnt help! Just move to where you have a good angle! Imagine how uncomfortable you would feel while someone is reaching over you! -1 Lack of attension to detail. The order was messed up by one item out of five, and the Paneer Makkni was completly bland. Please dont let the quailty of your food slip, mild does not mean the food should lack all flavors.

Really nice, and well presented Indian eatery. The name gave me the impression this was more of a quick bite destination, with indian street food fare, but turned out to be a well presented "sit down" place. The restaurant was clean and well managed, the tables and the ambience was good, in-fact one of the best Ive been to in East bay. This is an all vegetarian place though, so non vegetarians (Myself included) might not like the menu. Be assured though, their food is delicious and they do have some keto/low carb options (pick anything paneer-indian cheese- or caluliflower ).

This place is fairly decent for the price. Service here is pretty average, but at this budget thats fairly expected. Food is above average, though be aware its a vegetarian-only place, so that limits the menu options if you have a party that likes to eat meat. Still, the place is remarkably budget friendly and is generally decent, either as a carry out place or as a restaurant. Update: On a revisit, service here has collapsed into outright rude. Run down tables and ripped up sofas combined with a bad attitude makes this place not possible to recommend.

I dont know if its because Im white, but they did not treat us well at all. Restaurant was half full, but made us wait for five minutes. After we were seated others came in and were sat right away. Waiter took everyone elses order, then when finally got to us, we asked a question about the food, he andwered and walked away. While waiting we continued to get odd looks from the staff. I wouldnt say it was hatefull, just a lot of staring. After 15 more minutes of waiting to take our order we just left

Horrible Indian food. We bought that special Thali of the day for dinner. There were not a lot of people, business is not so good. People who doesnt know how to can manage to eat the crap that they make. He waiter boasted about the good he wanted us to order more good we ate some chat that we had ordered at the beginning, then the Thali. My god the food sucks here too as usual. It was a night mare. I will not recommend any one to eat here.

Being a regular customer of chaat bhavan Dublin...I was extremely disappointed today for a to go half tray biryani order priced at 60$...not sure if it was due to the heavy crowd they were experiencing or something else. The quantity given was nearly half to what I paid for it..I have taken quarter trays before it todays quantity was nearly the same , messing up our whole estimate for a well planned picnic. Not done. :-(

Its a hit or miss. Some dishes are ok. Quality can be improved significantly. Recently ordered a paneer malai dish. My son ate it and threw up hours later. I suspect it was the poorly cooked or stale paneer. He has eaten home-made paneer several times before with no issues. Will think twice before I dine here as the quality is not consistent.

Excellent for CHAAT and Indian street food variety. I had them cater for a 200+ people event and they did an amazing job with live tandoor on site. Jimmy offered really good suggestions from the menu as well as off the menu and guests were quite impressed with thier service, quality and taste of the food. Its our go to place for comfort food.

The food was alright and I ordered Channa batura, and Channa wasnt Fried nor bhatura were that great..In addition, no green chattni was brought to our table upon request either; nobody asked for water or any other beverages.. Dine in is nice..food is not too great being a indian guy knows how food should taste like.. Watch out guys

Worst indian place ever. Service is BAD!!! Food is horrible!! Since the food i order wasnt good, i thought of trying something else and ordered a take out, i did not get what i had order, but i was charged for it. People who serve there have way too much attitude , esply that old waiter !! NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN, EVER!!!

Good taste and large quantity and sort of pricey! I was in surprise when I tasted and saw the quantity. Its a good place for chat for sure but would look at if they drop the prices slightly. Nevertheless, if you havent been here, just go and try it once. Samosa, bhelpuri, dahipuri and a meal everything was osum.

Surprisingly good place. Nice ambience. Food was excellent! We had the Vada pav, which was good, and the thali, which was excellent and loaded with a lot of options. Service could be better though, they were a little disorganized and harsh. Must go if you are in the East Bay..

Very inconsistent in food taste (i am not saying bad). We have been there only multiple times and we seem to get different flavors for same items when we have made a attempt to eat them. The food doesnt taste bad but it doesnt taste good either because of this inconsistency.

A fantastic addition to Dublin. Chaat Bhavan has it all. Good service, excellent food and decent (if a little crowded) ambience. My favorite is their thali (set meals). They have decent portions and a wide variety of dishes that make a perfect meal.

The food is very nice and the best place for vegetarian folks. However, when crowded once they will serve your order they will forget you to check if you need anything else. You have to ask waiters many times to order some additional item.

We have catered from Chaat Bhavan several times now and keep going back to them... Never been disappointed. The ordering is very easy and all questions are answered promptly. Items are ready for pickup at promised time.

This place is popping on most nights, which makes it fun. The food is awesome and the portions make it easy to try many different things. I liked the Indian music videos playing on some of the TVs, theyre fun to watch.
