Craving Italian and wanted to try some place we have never been. I was sold when I read this was a family owned Italian place. The owners meet you at the door and take you to your seats. The staff was wonderful and very pleasant. I had the veal parm and my wife had the cioppino. Mine was great, but I highly recommend trying the cioppino....sooooo good! What I loved about this place was the family feel. We were not rushed at all and you could tell they genuinely cared about us having a great dining experience and not just getting us in and out and on to the next table. In a world dominated by the chains and the big corporate restaurant groups, I will choose this place any day. They also had live music, at a low volume, which was a great added touch.

OK, so theyre located beside a dildo shop. Have you checked rent around here? Im perfectly fine with it, because their buffet is not only cheap, but GREAT!!! Sagar is certainly one of the best finds Ive come across recently. Theres lots to try, things arent drowned in garlic, and I didnt miss meat in the least. The owners are very friendly, too, and are intent on you having a great experience. My 10 month old daughter loved it too, so you know its gotta be great. And how cool is this: they can prepare things Jain-style, meaning without garlic or onion? See, Jains refrain from killing ANYTHING, including plants. Thats real dedication. If youre a western vegetarian, keep it in mind next time youre tempted to criticize a meat-eater.

Awesome Vegetarian food. For folks looking forward to enjoying home-cooked styled food, this is the place to come. Since they dont put onions and garlic, it would be a good place for Jains as well. Rotis are fresh ... Sabjis are also simple and tasty. Some of them might be a little oily, especially if they have been fried without curry. The Matar paneer is also different. Chilli paneer seemed almost similar to other restaurants but with less commercial like taste. Rice variants are simple and tasty. I think I will give them 3.5 out of 5.

Went for the dinner buffet. Parking is limited, but I dont mind walking from a nearby lot. We were greeted upon entering by a motherly lady (owner?). Wide selection of savories, desserts, snacks, and beverages - all included with the buffet price; hot onion chapatis are brought to your table. Everything I tried was good, particularly the potato-chip-like snacks! The service was attentive and warm, like we were at a friends house, and they kept an eye on the food so the kitchen can replenish if anything was low.

I have tried both lunch and dinner here, on weekdays and weekends, and was disappointed with the quality and taste of food. Barring one or two good items, most of the food feels and tastes stale and bland. It is better to skip this restaurant and try Didis or Thali in Santa Clara for similar, but better tasting, options. They have too many options in the buffet, but most of them are not worth even trying. They should reduce the number of items and focus on quality and taste instead.

I had a very bad experience here. I had gone for the dinner buffet. There were 6 different curries, but everything was stale. The vegetable pulao even smelt bad. There were hardly 3-5 people seated in the restaurant. I think the owner has a policy of using and circulating old and stale items over several days. Never go to this place! There are plenty of better Indian vegetarian restaurants nearby, which offer fresher and tastier food for better prices.

The worst food I ever had. I took variety of curries and rice and pulao but i was unable to finished anything as they taste so bad. I took fruit ice cream that was bad too. Gajar halwa was hilarious. only idly I finished. The parantha was so spicy i left that too. I only completed my cup of tea. Never go back to this place. All dollars wasted on the worst food. came out still hungry..

Homemade like and variety of items is excellent at this new restaurant. The service and friendliness of the owner is quite appreciated. Food tasted so good and not so creamy and spicy that my 6 year old said he would give one million star review. I would give this restaurant a five star if they could make their infrastructure better.

It has stopped offering buffet and has limited thali option only. It is no longer Pure Vegetarian and offers Meat options as well. The food was okay, nothing to rave about. Went there only because I was on travel and had to eat outside. Will not recommended to those who live in the vicinity.

Worst food. Went on a friday night for dinner buffet. Almost all dishes were stale, from refrigerator and microwaved. Sabudana kichdi was well past its expiry. Need to be careful visiting this place as you might end up sick. Phulkas were hot and fresh - an exception. Overall avoidable...

Quick Indian food open later than some of the other restaurants in the area. The buffet food was filled and fresh. Staff quickly greeted us and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. They except credit card and gave me a card good for free buffet after so many times returning.

Sweet whenever u go its same no change .. than i dont know sabji was not fresh ... and they fry old papad ... rice was nasty... i gave them best suggestion that put fresh and new variety instead of same and unfresh food .. people are comibg for qulity food not for unfresh

Lots of options in their buffet and very reasonably priced. The chaat options are very good and changes everyday but the curries are not good. The side dishes are bland, tasteless and just meh. Would definitely go back again for the chaat part of the buffet.

Worst buffet I ever had in US. Tasteless food. Rice dish look like made before couple of days ago. Pathetic Shrikhand. Dont know how people can give 4-5 stars. Having tons of options with no taste.Totally disappointed.

Few items were good and freshly made others we simply stale items. Srikhand and phulkas were good. Most of vegetables and rice dishes were maybe couple of days old. chass/laassi whatever it was, was too bad.

We went there for the dinner buffet, but ended up buying chats instead. Bhel puri was not bad. We got dahi puri and another chat with yoghurt in it. Dahi was very sour and chutney used in these chats was stale.

Variety of vegetables is amazing. Down home cooking, rotis were soft and fresh, and contrary to one of the other reviews, loved the silence in the place. Just me and mindful eating :)

Had the lunch buffet there. Everything was quite nice including the atmosphere, the classic cutlery, the polite cashier and especially the food. Would definitely recommend!
