The new waitress was a NIGHTMARE. She yelled at Beto, her coworker, in front of everyone, then she ran off and had a tantrum. Beto and the Owner were working very hard, but she was the worst. Customers left because she didnt take their orders, she couldnt figure out the cash register and she was ice cold. Weve been loyal customers for years, but we wont be returning because the way she treated Beto was inexcusable. That being said, the food was good and Beto and the owner are great. Hopefully, they make the necessary changes to make Lucky Cafe a cool neighborhood spot again.

Me and my boyfriend decided to head to nearest cafe out in Sacramento while visiting . While ordering it was so cold in the place I was shivering. When making the food the employee says they ran out of food and my order was with 2 pork chops and he brought me back 1 pork chop wish he would of told me that before bringing me my plate and my pork chop was completely dry. My boyfriends hash browns were overly cooked. No one could hear us when we asked for our silverware to eat. It was just terrible service wont be coming back.

This used to be my favorite place for chicken fried steak with gravy. NOT ANYMORE! New management has taken over and this place was horrible. The chicken fried steak was so greasy the oil pooled on my plate, the gravy was yellow and had to of come out of a can and had NO flavor whatsoever. We actually got up and left to go around the corner to eat with two plates of "food" in front of us. Wont go back!

So, the food is good, coffee is not good, service was fair. My wife and I ordered ham and eggs, she had the toast, I had the pan cakes (2) with a added hair. ...yummy? The waitress gave us another two pan cakes this time with no hair and much bigger. She omitted the price of the pan cakes which turned out to be delicious. So three stars only because of the"hairy" situation.

I went there a couple of months ago with a friend after a sleepover. I had the pancakes, sausage, and poached eggs. It was really delicious. It seemed like a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. The customer service was excellent and there was this guy there that was very animate; kept the morning people energized and happy.

Had the chicken fried steak....SO.ABSOLUTELY.THE.BEST!!! I actually send the waiter back to the kitchen to thank the cook PERSONALLY. It was the best chicken fried steak Ive had in YEARS. Its a small place, get there early....but SO worth the drive and hassle to find parking. AMAZING!! Juicy...DELICIOUS!

I had the 3 pancake stack with 2 rashes of bacon and one scrambled egg. Everything was cooked to perfection. Service was very friendly and prompt and food was well priced. Only drawback would be the booth seats that werent terribly comfortable but the food easily made up for that.

Horrible!!!! Havent been here in years. Boy have things changed. Avocado and hollandaise sauce were inedible. As far as service, forget it. Had to walk across diner to ask for another cup of coffee. No smile, no greeting. Terrible experience all around.

Waitress was nice and helpful, food was relatively inexpensive, but the management talked about me and the person eating with me behind our backs. The coffee was terrible and watery, the food was incredibly salty and greasy, and I felt unwelcome.

We got their chicken fried steak and the pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs and fruit bowl, delicious, absolutely delicious! I wish I lived closer to go there often because it was very yummy. Good priced and good service as well!

The food was pretty good. Unfortunately the service was below average. The bus boy was very nice and a lot more attentive then our waitress. On top of that, according to the sign posted in the window, they only cash.

I go back and forth on this place. I used to really like it 20 years ago but now its meh. I dont know of my tastes have changed, the food has changed, or they were having a bad dayn. Its not as good as I remember.

Hole in the wall place with good food at a great price and excellent friendly service. If you want something fancy stay away, its not fancy. If you want a hearty basic breakfast come and get it.
