Was really disappointed with the service. We came in on a Sunday afternoon around 1. It was not busy. We waited a very long time for our food and barely seen our server the whole time for refills and even straws. We ended up getting our food and we didnt get the right food and I was missing my flapjacks. Was unable to ask the server for my flapjacks because she was never around. The whole purpose of going there was to get flapjacks. Poor service seems like they were in a rush to go home.

This place impressed me. We came at about 10:30 and we were promptly seated, although the waitress said we had just missed a big rush. The waitstaff was excellent - a nice mix of class coupled with a great "hometown diner" sort of vibe (and very attentive). The food was really tasty. I had the special chicken fried stake scramble which was delicious and the portion was generous. I also tasted my girlfriends omelet and it wasnt lacking on flavor! Ill certainly be back.

This was our number one diner since moving into the Sacramento area. It generally caters to an older crowd, but their coffee is strong and their prices are reasonable. Im a big fan of their burgers and before this place burned down I was here a few times a week. I hear theyre temporarily re-opening at the old Johnny Garlics location near Howe and Arden until they rebuild next year. I cant wait to get this place back!

Flapjacks (Country Waffles, but changed names under the same owner) is a great Sacramento breakfast and lunch restaurant where you cant go wrong. Pancakes, omelettes, and crepes are always consistently good, but the price is what will keep you coming back. I mean, after you have a great burger and fries for five bucks, youll wonder why anyone gets fast food instead of eating lunch here.

I ordered the cinnamon French toast combo. It was dry even with the cream cheese frosting and syrup. Bacon and eggs were ok. Soda tasted flat. Husband ordered the blackberries flapjacks. The flapjacks are good , they put a lot of blackberries. Hash browns were gross. Dad ordered Portobello mushrooms omelet and enjoyed that. Service was ok, staff is nice but takes awhile to get service

Ive been going to Flap Jacks the longest time. I have been going there since it was Walts back in the day. Thats well over 30 years. I enjoy the food and the service too. It doesnt happen very often but Frank the owner used to make sure my meals are outstanding. Thank God it doesnt happen too often. Thanks Frank

The food is usually great, but I recently ordered a milkshake and it had a hard plastic piece that looked like it had been in the blender. When I brought it up they just said oh maybe its from the whipped cream. They didnt seemed concerned that they blended plastic into my drink.

Friendly service, food wasnt so good. I got the eggs Benedict with spinach and hashbrowns. Tasted like the oil in the hash browns must have been old and the eggs Benedict was flavorless. My friend got the chicken strips. The chicken strips were kind of soggy and undercooked.

Shrimp tacos did not come out as described and photographed. Unseasoned Bay shrimps with shredded cabbage and cilantro. If it werent for the beans and rice there would have been no flavor. The staff credited the meal

Came here for breakfast last Sunday morning. The wait was short, considering the time and day. Our waitress was prompt and friendly, food was fantastic, and the flapjacks were the star of the show.
