The family was looking forward to a good meal on Feb. 10, 2014. We arrived at the restaurant at approximately 7:18 p.m. After going inside, we were told that there were no tables in the front area and that they would have to go to the back and clean a table for us. Well, that took about 12 minutes. This was not a very good start I thought to myself. We finally arrived at our table and was asked what we wanted to drink and menus were placed on the table. We looked at the variety of foods and had a hard time deciding. The waitress came back about 5 minutes and asked if we were ready. We told her that we needed a few more minutes. A few minutes had gone by and then 5 minutes gone by and no sign of the waitress returning. It wasnt until 8 minutes later that another waitress had come by to take our order. The other waitress was too busy in the front room and had forgotten us in the back. At this point, I was not happy. After the order, we had discussed how inefficient the waitresses were and the service being lousy. Here is the good part. The time was now 8:33 p.m. We had to wait over 40 minutes for the food to be served and the steak had been sitting under the heat lamp for who knows how long. It was dry on the outer parts of the steak. What happened to the juices when the steak is taken off the grill? The steak was barely warm at best. The toast that came with it was as hard as a rock. This was just one dish. I dont need to go on further with the other dishes. Worst service ever!!! I will not be back to this restaurant.

Extremely disappointing. The granola with fresh fruit and yogurt looked perfect for my taste buds this morning when hubby and I stopped for a little lunch before going to visit an historic site. I was devastated to see it arrive thickly laden with whipped cream, something I definitely do not like. When I complained to the waitress that the menu should have indicated there would be whipped cream, else I would not have ordered it, she did offer to remake it for me. But by the time she came by for me to tell her this, my husband was well into his order and we did not want to start mine with a reorder. Some time later I asked to speak with the manager to suggest my disappointment, and she looked at the pile of whipped cream I had set aside, and offered to bring me some fresh berries. I did not want more berries. At NO point did either of these employees offer me a discount of any kind. And at the cash register we were not even asked the usual "Was everything alright?". I did inquire, "Is it customary for your employees here to offer coffee refills?" I was surprised she said, "Yes", because not once were we offered drink refills. Very disappointing experience.

IF YOU ARE NOT WHITE, DONT EVER GO THERE! I HAVE BEEN THERE A COUPLE OF TIMES AND I TELL YOU, THEY DONT TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME. TONIGHT, I WENT THERE WITH SOME OF MY BUDDIES FOR A LATE NIGHT DINNER. WE GOT OUR FOODS AND EVERYTHING, WHEN THE WAITRESS CAME AND ASKED IF WE NEED ANYTHING, I ASKED FOR HONEY MUSTARD, SHE REPLIED WHEN A "RUDE MANNER" SAYING THAT THEY DONT "SERVE" OR HAVE "ANY" HONEY MUSTARD. IN MY HEAD, I WAS LIKE? WOW? U SERIOUS?. I TOLD HER THAT I HAVE BEEN IN THE RESTAURANT A FEW TIMES NOW, AND YOU GUYS DO HAVE HONEST MUSTARD WHEN I ASKED OF IT. SHE SAID THAT SHE HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE RESTAURANT FOR A LONG TIME NOW, AND THEY DONT OR HAVE HONEY MUSTARD. I TOLD HER TO GO ASKED HER EMPLOYEE ABOUT IT, BUT SHE TOLD ME SHE WORKED IN THERE LONGER THAN THEM AND SAYING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND IF YOU DONT WANT TO SERVE ME BECAUSE IM DIFFERENT, OR MAYBE YOU DISCRIMINATING AGAINST BECAUSE OF MY SKIN COLOR, BUT YOU BETTER CHECK YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU RUINING THE RESTAURANT FOR OTHER PEOPLE.

I happened to be walking from the store today and as I walked through Riverbend Park it started POURING DOWN RAIN. Once the rain stopped, I continued through and since ALL of the bathrooms were closed through out the park, I stopped at Cornucopia (as a last resort). I just needed to go. Emergency mode. Lol but when I came out, and as Im trying to call for my ride home, the lady who worked there came out and rudely told me that the "restrooms are for customer use only" as she pointed at the sign on the door. Talked to me in the most unfriendly way. I would like to make it known that I have been a customer there before and used to have good things to say about Cornucopia. But sorry...im not feeling like Im on the same level as them. Chasing people away for simply needing to use the restroom....not even showing a small amount of understanding with the weather being how it is lately... ☔Treat others the way you would like to be treated.☔

Im not gonna lie I loved going to this place and introduced it to my friends and it was our "spot" whenever we were in Oroville. However, I stopped going after they stole money out of my card. I got a burger for 13.97 and a few days laters checked my bank activity to see that I was charged 23.97. I remember specifically not writing anything for the tip and left it blank (because my friend already left a tip at our table) so they wrote in $10 on the receipt themselves. I know its only $10 but that is still theft, taking something from me without my consent. Theyre lucky I didnt press charges. Please always ask for the receipt or fill out everything on the receipt (if youre using Debit) whenever you eat here or this can happen to you.

Kind of dive-y atmosphere, but OMG the apple turnovers are TO DIE FOR!!! Staff were polite and professional, service was fast and accurate, prices were fair and affordable. We stopped by in early January 2017 and bought fresh apple turnovers to go from their tempting pastry case; next time we are in Oroville, we will definitely return here for a full meal!

I ordered the half rack of BBQ ribs and a double order of fries cooked extra crispy. Salad with blue cheese dressing. I could not have been more pleased with my dinner. The food was excellent, and Ultra fresh. The fries were some of the best Ive had. And the service could not be better. This family restaurant is top-notch.
