This is one of Lodis gems. There is very limited options in this little town of mine, and I dont really like any of them. I found Velvet Grill and it was love <3 Their menu is full of options and the food is all fresh and homemade style mmm!! They dont give you nasty full of preservatives side dressings like other restaurants too, before Velvet grill I detested ranch, and dressings, but then I cam here and they gave me some, and it was OH SO YUMMY! BEST DRESSINGS EVER! WHY? THEY MAKE THEM! Ice cream there mm!!! Out of this world <3 Forget Baskin Robbins and Cold Stone Velvet Grill Ice cream and shakes beat everyones Ice cream butt! Staff is always SUPER. Price is slightly more than average but its worth every cent.

The french toast is NOT french toast at all, but deep fried bread.The grease was so thick that hours later I am still feeling sick. I dont think the traditional method was used, seems to me it should not be advertised as french toast. The service has always been very good, as are the sandwiches, pasta and ice creams. I have dined here since childhood when it was The Velvet Creamery and still love this diner, but do find the french toast to be done very wrong. Will be returning for other meals, and the best ice cream in town.

Too much good stuff! Yes, whether you want a salad a burger or whatever, there is something in this menu that will speak to you. Prices are just right and the food matches with portions fit for a king. Now dessert.....they are so evil for offering so many delicious options, its just plain hard not to like this place.

Everything was delicious. This is old style grill/diner food made fresh. Kayla, our server, was welcoming and offered us a taste of their triple chocolate with port wine ice cream. That sold us. I had the mega grilled cheese with added ham and tomato. Better than perfect. Best rest stop weve made in a long time.

No amenities in the room at all . Chose a non smoking rooms was full of smoke. Horrible view of heater panels way over priced for this room on the strip. Ate at McCalls restaurant drowned food in sweet wines and sauces much to be desired. Would not recommend at all.

Place is filthy. Booths arent wiped down. Tables and chairs are sticky. As I started ordering the waitress started looking off at some other table then asked me to order again because she missed the entire order. Never again. IHOP right across the street 100x better

We went late night. No waiting. Cheerful staff. Food was great. Not your ordinary diner type. Up scale food for a family atmosphere so the prices are a little more than you would expect. Fresh vegetables that were grilled perfectly. Great selection of comfort foods!

The food just doesnt taste as good as it use to. Husband had a stomach ache after eating and my french toast was on a bun type bread and husband had toast asked for white he got it And it was a burnt bun not toast. I wont be going back there anytime soon.
