Ill start by saying my elderly mother has been eating at Brookfields for 5+ years and we have dinner here weekly because she likes it. If it were up to me wed eat elsewhere. The staff is amazing (reason for 2 stars) but the kitchen is unpredictable. We eat here on Wednesday evenings when the special is corned beef with cabbage and potatoes. From week to week the plate will go from plenty of food for the price to a rip off. The meatloaf tastes like card board every week, the prime rib dinner is basically lunch meat with gravy and mashed potatoes, the salmon dinner is always over cooked and dry, the Ahi tuna salad is okay but very little fish....etc. Its very pricey ($35-50) for 2 people one of which is a senior. I settle for a house salad every week while my mother gets the fish and chips which even she complains about. Shes been eating here for 5+ years Im sure thats the only reason she keeps going back.

Ive been going to this restaurant since before it was Brookfields. The food has been good for all that time and like any other restaurant they have their good days and not so good. That pertains to both the food and the service, but for the most part they do a good job. I just recently, last week, had a meal that was truly superb. Also one of my reasons for going as often as possible, which isnt that often for health reasons, is the service, bubbly personality and always present smile form Brenda. It never ceases to amaze me how she never seems to be down. Keep up the good work.

LOOOOOVE everything about this place. I moved here 3 years ago & a friend suggested I try it. He said it was very family friendly with great food. I took my Picky Princess, who was 2 at the time, & we LOVED it.... and still love it 3 years later! The staff is awesome. I have NEVER had anything less than perfect service, 11 on a scale of 1 to 10! ;) I only wish theyd serve my fave dish 7 days a week (the eggs benedict/chorizo/cornbread thingy) but then again its probably a good thing they dont. :) My daughter just came to visit from Chico & we are headed there now (9:15pm).

Every time I have Visited this Location I have been thoroughly Impressed by the Magnificent Wait Staff. If our Wait Server takes a break they make Sure their Clients Are Covered. The Food ordered were Delicious and Tasted Great. And again for some strange Reason what used to be a packed Reasturant seems to not get Too packed except on Sunday afternoon from 11-3 attracting the After Church Fellowship of Churchfolk who come to felliwship with Food n Drink whilst Sharing in the Name of Jesus ( Sharing is Gossio.)

The food is excellent. the service is the highest quality. The young lady who took my order was Megan she was very friendly very cheerful and very professional I felt like I was at Nordstrom store. Matthew Jessie Raquel and Joe the manager they were extremely nice and friendly. I like to come to brookfields when Im in town. I usually get a to-go order. They mess it up nearly every time though. As usual they dont say anything until you get there. This time it was about the pork sliders. It used to be 2 sliders and coleslaw as its listed on the menu. When I get there now its only 1 per order essentially cutting your order in half. They should get their online menu right. I wont be back and I wont recommend this place to anyone.

Have you ever jwalked into a restaurant and it fits you like a glove ? Thats how I felt when I first walked into Brookfields. This charming place was recognized by the Sacramento Bee around 2009 for having the best roast beef sandwich in all of Sacramento. This sandwich deserves all the ranting and raving. The service was friendly and fast. My server Steven R , was one of the best in town .This Sacramento must should be on everyones to do list.

Very popular meeting place with a wide variety of typical AMERICAN fare menu options. Usually quick friendly service, especially if you get one of the veteran servers. They will split checks for any size group. You can reserve the back room for a private party. Clean bathrooms and clean decor. Id give this 4 stars except that it is a bit overpriced for what you get, the parking lot is very tight, and not an easy re-entry to I-80.

We love the servers and the atmosphere there. Unfortunately lately my meals have not been made satisfactorily and have had to be sent back. The servers are always apologetic and very willing to take the meal back and have it remade. Broad selection of menu items, many homemade items, and large portions. Reasonably priced and also has a value menu. Breakfast anytime of the day or night. Fabulous orange juice and apple cider.

Had an early dinner there today. The server was very pleasant and tended to our needs promptly. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal. I had fish and chips which was excellent. My friend had the burrito which she described as "the bomb." One person had the Tuesday special and ate every bite. My wife had the steak salad and ate every bite. The only one that didnt eat much was the 4 yr.old who took her pizza home.

My coworkers and I were going to stay in Rancho Cordova for 4 days so I checked out the reviews for Brookfields..some said service was slow. Food was ok. After visiting 5 times with 5 different servers, the service was awesome and the food was great every time..we tried a lot of different items and all were great..turkey dinner with homemade cranberry sauce and cornbread was awesome..so I cant wait to go back..

I work down the street and absolutely love their soup!!!!, Im always getting lunch there. One time I saw a steak salad on its way to a customer and I thought that looks yummy. Today, I stop by and ordered the wild steak salad. Well, I forgot my wallet and the person who took my order paid for it!!!!! Said its not a problem. That made my day since work has been so rough and crazy busy. Food is delish!!!!!

Went here for the first time while I was in the area (Im from S. Sac) and I really loved this place. I always order an iced white chocolate mocha wherever I go, and this place made the best Ive ever had! It had a brilliant ratio or everything and the food was amazing! This place alone is worth the trip and I will be frequenting this place more often now. Keep up the good work!~

I come into town for work a couple times a year and will only stay at the super 8 near this restaurant, only because I love this place! The staff is friendly and the food is delicious and has a perfect home cooked feel. If you come for dinner ask for Stephen! Update:Im back in town! Stephens gone but the food hasnt changed a bit and the staff is still as friendly as ever.
