Traveling for business, called to see how busy, the hostess let me know possible seating at the bar. I gave it a shot. I was seated at a table, had the most stellar waitress: Chelsea. She had the tv changed to the SJ Sharks game, and was the perfect server. Not hovering, yet observant enough to tailor to her tables. I chose the NY strip; perfectly cooked, my beverage: double dirty greyhound was well made. Additionally, a great overlook of the bar , enabling a pure comedy show of folks enjoying the ambiance. At first pricing seemed steep, in the long run, the quality of food deserves the price. I will definitely return to this restaurant when I return to this locale.

We frequently visit this establishment for brunch on weekend mornings. This Saturday, our experience was so wonderful that we felt inspired to leave this review. Our server, Coco, serviced us with the perfect amount of attentiveness and care. Coco is a man that understands and is an expert in the art of the mimosa pour. Our food was also delicious. We recommend the complimentary muffins. They had blueberry when we visited, my personal favorite. I enjoyed the avocado toast which came with a generous amount of avocado not usually seen with restaurant entrees. Overall, I would recommend Land Ocean as a weekend brunch destination with friends and/or family.

Overall, a positive experience. Food was incredible, waiter was incredible, and items were fairly priced. However, we had a disappointing first impression. We arrived very early for our reservation. After we sat without an offering in the bar, (they should recommend that for waiting), we had to move our own things to our table once available. This was made up for with an incredible dinner and desert though. (Surf and Turf is amazing.) The waiters also know how to pour on service without hovering. The atmosphere of the resturant is great as well, not being too upscale, but just enough for most people. We will surely be back soon!

This restaurant is advertised as "upscale" and we found that the prices were and the food and service were not. We had the ahi tuna and the salmon, both served medium well - and we would have sent them back had anyone come to ask how our meal was. Once the food was presented we were not contacted again until we were asked if wed like to see a dessert menu. We also found it surprising that the hostess was dressed in flat open toed sandals and a hooded jacket - really?? Clearly a management issue. I will say that the happy hour menu looked good - we will try that, just a "no go" for the restaurant.

My girlfriend I decided to dine here to celebrate birthdays instead of going downtown - what a great decision. The atmosphere is sleek and modern and the food terrific. We both had filet minion (she had the lobster as well) - both steaks cooked perfectly - and the salads/dessert/cocktails were noteworthy and delicious.. What also made it a great experience was our waiter, Mackenzie - friendly, professional, and helpful with menu choices. Today I received a call from the restaurant thanking me for dining with them-who does that now-a-days?! Impressive and delightful - will be returning

My husband and I went to this restaurant last night. I had not been there for over 2 years, so at my request we tried it again. We were both blown away at the politeness with everyone we encountered. The place was packed so we sat up at the bar, Linsday, the bartender took care of us in such a professional and kind spirit. The food was very good. Scallops that were done perfectly. The Ahi poke was fresh and a healthy serving. We will be back again and spread the word. You have very good employees. Cant say that about higher end restaurants around town. Tina

Land ocean is not perfect, by far. And yes, it is reminiscent of Bandera, which was intentional. But I have consistently enjoyed my meals. The one thing that bothers me comes from the kitchen. On my first visit my burger was undercooked. But when the problem was fixed it was delicious. During my second meal, my husbands steak was ordered medium and was bleeding. He left half if it uneaten and nothing was comped. The menu is quite limited but Ive enjoyed my selections. The bison burger and steak sandwich are great. The Thai steak salad is highly recommended!!

The food was very good but small portions for the price. Ok for those with a small appetites. One of our party of five had to send her steak back 3 times to get it cooked properly. The server didnt offer to take it off the bill which was very surprising. I think offering an apology in lieu of comping the meal that was ruined because of a chef that cant cook a medium well steak is bad business. Also, it was my birthday - was not offered a dessert or a song! I guess this is just not a festive place to celebrate. Next time Ill go next door to B.J.s.

Defiinitely overpriced for quality & quantity. Servers were lovely. However, the bill ($33 per person) was far too high for a lunch consisting of a glass of the least expensive white wine and small serving of fish (no salad, veggies, or bread.) My fish was luke warm. Our server sent it back but it wasnt much hotter when it was returned. To compensate for sending the fish back to the kitchen, we were given a dessert at no charge. I would much rather have been served a balanced, hot meal.. Nice atmosphere.

Food was great quality and taste. portions were a bit small for the price. 2 lunch entrees + 2 non alcoholic drinks for $45. We didnt tip the waitress since she was so unfriendly and acted like we were bothering her. I am a person with a comfortable salary and feel that the tip should still be earned. A lot of places think tipping is a given. And waitresses dont hate, its not everyones problem that u choose to take a job that gets away with paying you $3/hr. The menu had few options.

Four friends had the privilege of having a great evening meal at the Roseville Land Ocean restaurant. Reservations were honored even tho we were a few minutes late. We were greeted by a great hostess. Our waitress Shelby was spot on with anything we ask abt the menu, the chef or the manager. Shelby was very versed on the menu with all the options available. We were pleasantly pleased with the food selections we made. Service was superb!!

The food is great, the service so-so, and the prices...a little steep. I would have given it 3 stars, but it gets four because "The Dip" was the best beef dip sandwich Ive ever had! For the price I would expect a little better service and decor. If it was a bit cheaper Id probably go pretty often. Ive talked about this place with a few people and all were unsure whether to go back because its a little too pricey for frequent visits.

The service and food was excellent... however, towards end of meal, I pulled out what seemed to be hair / possibly brush hairs from one of my Benedicts. Manager on duty Paul apologized profusely and took care of entire meal!! Talk about exceptional service... dont worry we definitely over tipped the server for incredible service. Even though this happened, I would still highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

My husband and I came for bunch on a Sunday. We arrived right at opening and there was plenty of seating, just what we like. The chicken fried steak with eggs and country potatoes was perfect. Good sausage gravy on top and the breading was crispy and delicious. Hubs got the bottomless mimosas and they filled it fast and often. Highly recommend for Sunday Brunch.
