6 years ago this place was 5 stars. I remember having to wait 15 to 30 minutes to get seated because this place was always packed. Ive eaten at several Claim Jumpers Restaurants in California and they always seem to be a good place to eat and a popular choice. Fast forward six years later... their parking lot is virtually empty. All the staff were really unhappy and the only few customers in the place seemed to be only senior citizens. The prices on average were $25 a meal. I ordered the potato skin appetizer and it was half the amount Id get at Cattlemens. They were cut into bite size pieces to make it appear more than it is. In the Kids meal the whole grapes were frozen solid. The salmon dinner was overly blackened and dried out. The rice was mushy and reminded me of Uncle Bens. For the quality we received in food and service, we could have gone to Dennys, saved money, and we wouldnt have been upset. This place has become a "Kitchen Nightmare". I think this place needs new management.

Our family went here for a birthday dinner one night. Our waitress was Jenn B. Jenn had an excellent since of humor and was very nice! The food was great, I had ordered a USDA Certified Steak cooked (prepared) medium. The steak had no fat at all! I was shocked! It was the best steak I have ever had at a restraunt in my life! And the Baked Sweet Potato was hot, with warm melted butter and brown sugar poured over it (and chives, which were "surprisingly delicious" on top of a sweet potato). For desert, I got a little birthday surprise: A cute little cupcake! Since we were going to order desert, (and because they offered,) we had the cupcake put in a takeout container to have later. The desert we had ordered was a six-layer chocolate cake slice. There were thre of us and we only ate 1 and a half of the layers! It was SO rich and defenatly worth the money!!! So, in summary: Food: ***** (out of *****) Service: ***** Atmosphere: ****.5 Would I reccomend to someone: Absolutly!!!

There were 12 of us that gathered for a birthday party on a Wednesday evening. First the positives : They sat us quickly and a big plus... our server let us do separate checks...that was very much appreciated! She took our orders, then things went down hill from there. 3 salads were left out, 2 salads came with the wrong dressing. It took several minutes AND a reminder to our server we were still waiting for the 3 salads. Three if us ordered the coconut shrimp, it was very dry/over cooked as well as my husbands order of regular breaded shrimp. Three of our friends ordered Salmon, they said it was good, two ordered half rack of ribs, they said they were tender and flavorful. There, was an order of meatloaf, very large with a lot of red saice on it. Our dirty salad plates and soup bowls did not get picked up when our entrees came. They were STILL there when we all finished our meals. The service was not up to par for the restaurant not being busy.

Unfortunately I had an awful experience at this restaurant. Our server was apparently drunk (according to others on the staff). She forgot our order, brought us more drinks without us ordering, forgot to give us silverware, etc. When it came time to pay the bill she made a mistake with our gift cards, said she didnt run one of them and gave the card back. A couple of weeks later I tried to use the card at another restaurant and I was told the card was empty. This waitress took $70 for my bill which was only $48 then lied to me about it! This would be a 1 star review, but luckily the manager at this location responded to my feedback I left online. After i discovered I was overcharged and lied to, the manager reimbursed me without any further questioning.

Bring your appetite with you, because the portions are HUGE. Three of us went, and my dad and I got the chicken pot pie, while our friend got the ribs. My friend ate other ribs during our two-week visit to the US, but she just kept raving about the ones at Claim Jumper. The pot pie was delicious, full of chunks of chicken and veggies. I ate until I could eat no more and still had a pound of leftovers to take back to Dads. Despite being stuffed, we ordered one Salted Caramel Mud Pie dessert to share. Three of us could not finish it, and it was a shame to leave some behind. It was scrumptious. The staff was super friendly, and it was a great dining experience.

This place was good ten years ago. The food was not very good the last two times. Not worth the money. Last night we had the rudest most impatient server ever. She never asked us how we were or told us her name. She was anxiously waiting for us to order. She served us old withered side salads with soggy croutons and then drop off bread with no butter and we didnt see her for over 20 minutes. Didnt update us on our food or anything so we left. The host asked if we wanted to see a manager but we declined because we really dont want an excuse to come back. She huffed and walked away angrily. Im sick of rude service and bad food in this town.

The service is spotty. Took my newly 21 year child there for happy hour. Had several appetizers and a couple of drinks. After 2 sips of lemon drop cut lip on cracked glass, told the waitress, she put her finger in the glass, acknowledged the crack, walked to the bar, abd poured the rest of the drink in a new glass. That was enough to end the visit, we walked away from the drink and promptly paid. After paying waited for the manager to report the issue. He said sorry, no offer to prepare a new drink or even remove the $5 drink from the $48 tab. Who puts their finger in a drink? And the tries to serve it.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here, the room they have is perfect for such an occasion. Its separate from the rest of the restaurant and holds a good amount of people. The only reason I dinged them a star is they didnt assign our group (30 people) enough servers. We had 2 in the beginning for drink orders but that quickly diminished to 1 which caused the food ordering process to take forever which then trickled down from there to drag out the rest of the evening. Food was good! Had a great time, just wish there was more servers to make the service a little quicker.

One of our first choices when deciding where to eat. Weve gone there a few times with large groups, but most often its just the two of us. Its a great place to go with a group for the variety of food found on the menu. Surely everyone in the group will find something they like. Most of the time we have good service, but there have been a few times that the server barely came around. Though, I will say, whenever management is aware of the situation, theyve always made things right. Good food and portion size (for the money).

Busy family restaurant. Food did arrive fast. This is my second time here and the first time went well. The second time, I came with a girlfriend and it couldve been better. I ordered their fish tacos, which are delicious, but they forgot my rice. My girlfriend ordered the rotisserie chicken and they gave her bbq sauce instead of gravy. Minor details that shouldnt have happened. All ended up being well. Girlfriend talked to a manager and they comp our meal for us. Customer service was great though.
