Islands is a glorified hamburger joint. At our first visit, my husband had the golden ale, and I had the brown ale, mine was ok, but his was really good.... For an appetizer, we had the sliders, and they were very good. For entrees he had the mahi tacos (they were AWESOME) and I had the CA Flyer, a grilled chicken sanwich. Overall, the food was good. The atmosphere is loud but enjoyable. They have tvs everywhere, so for us (both sports fans) it was good, but I wouldnt recommend it as a date spot. The service was great at the start, the hostess opened the door and greeted us friendly and welcoming, but our server was more concerned with getting her side work done than taking care of us. We will go again, and hope for better service, but we will not sit in that servers section. We would have had dessert, but thought it might take another 15 minutes to get her attention and another 20 minutes to get our check so we went somewhere else and had dessert.

I went here last week with my husband and we had the best time! The food was delicious (we each had the burger with the pineapple slice, I had sweet potato fries) and the service was excellent! Seriously ALL the folks who work here are great. The hostess was great, our server was SUPER attentive (and Im kicking myself for not remembering her name bc she deserves a shout out, but she was brunette, young, about 56", very cute), the food runner was nice, and the change out server, a young blonde woman, was awesome, too. The chef forgot my add-on fried onions, but the server brought me a whole mess of them on a plate, so that was no issue. And everything was quick, too. Plus, they had the game playing, but with no volume, so we could still talk to each other. Awesome restaurant and we will go again. Oh, and very clean and fun atmosphere - I would have loved this place when I was a kid, too.

We ordered burgers on takeout for our family. I ordered mine cooked medium well ("no pink"), got home, cut it in half and it damn near was bleeding. Completely pink and red even to the edges. Couldnt eat it. Disgusting. Fries were rock hard but didnt look burned...very strange. This is the second time Ive ordered food from here. First time was dine in with some friends. We waited 50 minutes for 2 burgers and fries during a non busy time which never came, so we ended up just finally walking out with no food, and went across the street to Tahoe Joes for way better food and excellent service. The waitress probably didnt even notice we were gone at Islands.

For me this is another burger place that costs too much and has never delivered. Seems like a lot of these places in Roseville/Rocklin cost a lot for a burger that is not any better than what you can get on the dollar menu at any fast food place. That being said we have tried other stuff on the menu and again it falls short for the money you spend. After coming here several times with friends and family over the past few years i can safely say its not an isolated incident, the food is just not that good. On the other hand the service can be great depending on the visit, but the service is only half of the equation.

Mediocre burgers. First and last time coming here. It took 45 minutes to get our food which isnt bad for a friday night but when it finally arrived it was cold. The server was pretty good and actually got us drinks without having to ask which is a big deal for me. The burgers were supposed to be medium but when they arrived they were a cold and dry well done. Too much condiments and toopings that you couldnt even taste the flavor of the meat. The manager got my girlfriend a new burger since hers was downright horrible. In conclusion the food qas terrible and the service wasnt bad.

If youre going to serve sub mediocre food at least dont make it expensive. That was the salt in the wound. We ordered kids chicken tenders, Nui loa (daily special), and Maui burger (with a veggie patty). Chicken tenders, 3 stars. Nui Loa, 2 stars. Pretty much the soggiest most tasteless burger you can imagine. The veggie patty, 1 star. I really hate it when the veg option is obviously a complete afterthought. Some bland crap out of the freezer for sure. Id have given 3 stars if that quality of food was served up for about $30. Instead we paid $45!!!

Tried this place because i heard it was good. Ordered the blue cheeseburger, onion rings and an ice cold Coors light. The beer actually had ice in it. Took frosted glasses a little too seriously. Ordered the burger well, came jumping off the plate. Almost moo-ing. On top of that the burger almost fell apart in my hands. All bun and the middle was mushy. On to the onion rings. All 4 of them. Really? 4 onion rings? For the record they were excellent. The place is nice inside but the food has much room for improvement. Over priced, under delivered.

Great services and exceptional food. Good backstory too. 10/10! We came here some time ago, and my daughter and I were coming with a free kids meal certificate, and money was tight. My daughter was talking about it in front of the waiter. I was embarrassed, but our server said it was fine and smiled. Later, after we were done, she said she had it covered and gave my daughter her certificate back, still holding a free meal. Such a great person. She was a tall young blonde, and she seriously deserves like a reward for being so nice.

I really cant find anything about this place that would make it stand out at all. Nothing on the menu is note worthy, the prices are high, the service was lousy but freindly. We finished our meals before we ever got refills on our drinks and we never got silverware. We settled for their "Island Fries" which were described as perfectly fried and seasoned with their special blend of spices, ours were not even salted, they were just plain bland fires and worse not even fresh they were like warm. Sadly we will not be returning.

Food was subpar... service was poor... our drinks sat empty for half the meal before our waiter offered to refill... the grilled cheese one of our guests wasnt even cooked... and a guest with many allergies was told lies about in ingredients and almost had an allergic reaction because she noticed that it was heavily marinated before she ate it, they denied ever telling her it wasnt marinated. This place is ok if you dont care about how the food tastes and you want overpriced soggy food.

Islands was our go-to Sports Bar/Burger place in Los Angeles, and the one in Roseville is just as good. The service is always FABULOUS & FAST. The food always comes out hot, whether you are seated in the bar area or at their regular tables. They serve the best teriyaki burger (called "Hawaiian" on their menu) and frozen strawberry margaritas I have ever tasted in my life. Their happy hour is also GREAT for prices and selection! If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks guys!

The food was good, the service was horrendous. We got a poor attitude waitress, she had our appetizers and entree come out at the same time. She was never around, we got more help from the bus crew and the hostess. We had to ask for our utensils, I had to ask for more wing sauce because some of my wings were clearly not sauced. Took 15 minutes to have our check picked up to pay. Overall a very bad experience that has tarnished a once good place to grab a burger.
