My wife and I, who are not Japanese, have been here twice and both times have been told there is only the crappy table near the front (near the open door and a party of 20) available, then a Japanese couple enters two minutes after to be shown an intimate table near the back. I asked the surly waitress who gave an unintelligible answer about "the seats in the front need to fill up first, blah, blah, blah." That would be fine if no one were sitting there but there were tables already filled all around the back area. I also confirmed they did not have reservations... The food is ok but not worth being discriminated against, we definitely wont be going back...

Ive been coming here for many many years. With all of their locations, I think this one is the best! The ladies who serve here and have been here for many years. Theyre very nice and polite. The food here is always heartwarming. Even if its crowded, it doesnt take too long to get your order. Besides the chicken wings, you should try the other dishes like the fish bass and the salmon delux chazu. This is great value for money. Everyone Ive taken here has always been surprised about the place and they always want to come back!

My favorite Japanese restaurant. They try to make it healthy as possible, try to seat you in right away, and they are definitely polite. Big parties are good here since there are drinks, but I recommend a reservation and the whole party must all be there. Their food is American made into a Japanese taste. Very unique, never tasted anything quite like it. Anything from dates to parties to casual eating is great here. Also, its very AFFORDABLE here. I go here at least once every 2 months. Sometimes, I order to-go. :-)

I came here with my group of friends for the first time a couple weeks ago. Most of them had been to Furaibo before and recommended getting the chicken wings. I went with the wings combo. We also ordered a couple of appetizers ( chicken gizzard skewers, cheese & fish cake, fried shrimp) to share. My favorite was the fish cake with the cheese filling. It was delicious. Id skip on the gizzards and shrimp as those were dry. The wings were fantastic. It was moist and i loved the glaze on it.

I am not 100 % sure but this place seems familiar i might of been here when i was a kid. Anyways i did enjoy it. The crab that you can eat the shell and all was very interesting i did enjoy. along with the other things we tried. The only thing i did not like was the clam soup or whatever it was. My friend did enjoy it so that was my personal taste someone else might love it. The lady that waited on us was nice. She new my friend well and remembered him from his other times.

I prefer the lunch menu over the dinner menu. Not only are the prices more reasonable, but I find the food to taste better and also during lunch hours, its a nicer, calmer atmosphere in the restaurant. The chicken katsu curry is the best and if you have the luxury, order the calpico-shuhai or ume-shuhai. Both are amazing drinks!

Great! Hanpen cheese was very special- crunchy on the outside, cheesy fluffy on the inside, served with some kind of mild fruit sauce and mustard. We had wings, kimchi fried rice, skewered beef, bacon in sauteed spinach (crazy good). Big menu and im dying to go back

Honestly, they have the smallest ever chicken wings but they are packed with so much flavor, so make sure you order some. The Bento boxes are a great deal too. The drinks are all sweet but the server will ask if you want it adjusted.

The wings are delicious and addicting! The portions are small plates tapas style. Service is great. Expect a wait during usual high traffic hours. Parking can be a challenge!

My go to Izakaya place on the westside or Torrance. The food is cheap, consistent and unique. Must try: chicken wings, beef tataki, baby halibut, eggplant dishes.
