I used to go here very often (sometimes even more than once a week) when they were located in Orange County. The soba here is the best! They also have absolutely delicious and perfect tempura. Unlike other restaurants that serve their tempura overly battered, heavily fried, and coated with grease, I-naba prepares theirs very light and... well... perfect. They even have a specialized tempura menu (you need to ask for it) which is well justified. I have not tried their sushi, but a friend I took there once claimed it was excellent. The menu overall is a bit pricey, but its well worth it. Like the other review said, it is located in an ugly strip mall, but the restaurant itself has an elegant and charming ambiance.

This was the worst service experience I have ever had. Friday night people were leaving so it wasnt busy. Our table and another table waited over an hour for our food. We only ordered Hamachi sushi two rolls and a sampler sashimi plate. The time between plates was horrible. When we and another table complained they did nothing but say how busy they were and by that time we were the only two tables still sitting waiting for food. They did nothing with the bill. Offered no apologies. Horrible service. Will not eat here again.

Tucked away in a shopping center, this Japanese Restaurant is amazing. They make their own noodles. The Sushi and Sashimi are absolutely best. Myself and my Chef friend tried over 20+ items and all of them were outstanding. The Beef tongue were delicious, Soba was perfectly cooked, the Tempura was very light and crisp- one of the best I have tasted. The service was very good and I will be back again and again and again.

One of the best Soba(handmade?) noodle in town, if not the best(Otafugu?). Decent atmosphere, decent sushi, great variety of small Japanese dishes for you to order, but not cheap. Great lunch deals for people to try a variety of lunch sets that is ten dollars around and delicious. Have side private rooms that you can book for a private dinner, but dont expect much for atmosphere.

I had a very nice dinner at the sushi bar on Fathers day in 2009. It was very busy so I had to wait a few minutes for a seat to open up. The sushi was excellent. I also ordered some cooked items off the menu and they were very good too. It was very expensive, but I recommend it as one of the 10 best sushi restaraunts Ive ever experienced in the US.

Nice tempura and cold soba. But we particularly enjoy the quiet sushi bar off to the side. If the sushi chef is on, it is a great experience. You can order everything off the menu in the bar. We always suggest lunch as it can get kind of rushed and crowded at dinner. Ask what is fresh and what the chef enjoys.

First, lipstick on my water. Second, the prices on the menu: soba and tempura (the size of my pinky) $13, Unagi box with a very little miso soup $20. Third, the california roll didnt arrive until we finished our food and the avocado was bruised.
