The food was really good, but I must warn the people that are considering eating here, that they (ONLY ACCEPT CASH ONLY) NO CREDIT CARDS, NO DEBIT CARDS, and NO CHECKS! The problem with that is not everybody carries cash, for safety reasons. On my moms and my visit they asked my mom to go next door at the Chevon gas station to use the ATM to get cash to pay the tab and a tip for the server. Hello to the owner of this place the year is 2016! Not 1950! (Practically every restaurant and store in the bay area accept almost every kind of payment! This experience, will ruin your business. This also happened to one of my moms co-workers too at the same place, at a different time, on the same day, we were there. I recommend skipping this place! There meany other restaurants in the Pleasent Hill area, that are way moor accepting of all forms of payment!

This is my weekend go out to breakfast spot. Comfort food abounds and listening to those seated around me or at the counter i hear constant compliments about the meals. Seated at the counter i usually strike up a conversation (or have one started by someone else) with folks who compare other spots but have this place within at least their top 3 choices. The owners and staff tend to be on first name basis with many customers, often trading recent stories about family and events. Things move fairly fast, both at the grill and by the waitresses and busboys. I go for Biscuits and Gravy, or Chorizo and Eggs (a special, not always available), or just a standard bacon and eggs breakfast. The Gravy is great. I usually get at cup of it for the bacon and eggs breakfast, just to taste it. Price with drink is approx $10.00 per person (BFST).

Oh my god this place is amazing. I love it and often spend late nights or early mornings dining here with my best friend. The food is as a restaurant should be, food thats better than something I can cook at home. The food id epic and cooked exactly as I order it, the gravy is the best and the service is on par with the food. There are not that many good breakfast joints that are around any more so this place is a little gem among the Dennys like restaurants that have sadly become a norm... this restaurant is old school in every sense of the word and require cash, but taking a little detour to the bank is totally worth it.

Would never come dine at this establishment again. A friend and I went for breakfast. We were sat. The waitress comes over, does the whole "meet & greet" thing. She then says that I cant have my iced coffee from an outside source in there. So even though my friend and I are about to spend $20-$30 plus tip at this establishment, I am not allowed to have my coffee that I bought with my money there. I go and put my coffee in the car and of course Ive lost my appetite. My friend orders a coffee. I sit at the table playing on my phone waiting for my friend to finish his coffee. Finally he pays and we leave.

Weve been going to this place 16-yrs and we Love it. Theyve had a few new faces come and go recently, some know what theyre doing others dont. 90% of the time you get great service and great food! We love to go in the evening when Chef Mario is on grill, our food is ALWAYS delicious and cooked to perfection when Mario cooks it. The veteran waitresses are Absolutely Fabulous and make you feel right at home. This is one of the best places to go for American food dishes and their amazing breakfasts are served all day!

Scrumptious country fried steak with gravy and sides. Friend had biscuits, gravy, French fries and mayonnaise, which she said was delicious but could not finish. My "small order" was ginormous too. My friend wanted to treat on her debit card but it turns out that this joint is cash only. We were seated in the extreme corner outside under the lean-to which was good because it was more private and more quiet than the rest of the joint. Nobody carries cash unless they are prewarned.

Best weekend breakfast place in the area. CASH ONLY. Dont cry about it just go get cash across the street. Burger steak, well, over easy w/ wheat FTW. Tip well and come often enough and you wont even have to order when you come in. Just sit down and drinks appear and the beautiful waitresses caususlly ask.. the usual hon? Yes maam. The waits worth it also... weekends can be busy.

Great goto place to have in your repertoire. In a group that wants different stuff? Boom, problem solved. Breakfasts are huge and sandwiches are generous. Memorable stuff includes the homemade potato chips, corned beef hash, and loaded salads. Not a delicate place. They hit you with a lot of comfort food for a fair price...make sure you bring cash.

I went to this diner with a large group for the first time yesterday. They are cash only. they had a nice place to sit outside for a large group. They serve breakfast all day. the portions were large and they even have homemade potato chips which I havent had for years. All the food was delicious. We will definitely go back.

My friend and I always come here on the early mornings for a cup of coffee and breakfast. Their gravy is phenomenal, and their service is even better. Youre treated like family, and my cup is never empty here. The menu itself is affordable and full of a wide array of selections. Be sure to bring cash, though!

They only accept cash likely have people working under the table. None of this really bothers me its just annoying to have to get cash every time I would like to eat there. You can split meals and order anything on their menu prepared however you like (within reason).

OMG, the food here is amazing. The portions are large for the price and for the most part the staff is extremely friendly. Favorite place to go for breakfast on the weekend. Be ready to wait a minute for your table if youre a large group. It is on the small side.

My Favorite Diner in the area. CHP, and Pleasent Hill PD are always here grabbing coffee and breakfast. Havent had lunch here yet, but their breakfast is great. Has been the same workers and owners since Ive been coming here. Always a great breakfast spot!

Great burgers and shakes/fries were better until they changed them to the kind with the skins still on them. The naked friies without skin are much better. These are not shoestring style like those garbage ones at Mc Donalds.

I love this place. like, i LOVE this place. Best Turkey burger Ive ever had! I crave them, their so good. The service is amazing, really make you feel like family. Just a wonderful place!! Is Cash only tho, so be prepared!

This is our "go to" place when we want a good meal reasonably priced. A couple of our favorites are the French toast and French dip sandwich. And their burgers are outstanding. Service is always good and it is always clean.
