Last month, I had the opportunity to dine at The Whole Enchilada, with my close girlfriend. I would like to say that I am never one to complain about poor service, however never have I experienced such poor service from a restaurant in years. We were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess, which had me feeling like this would be a great place to eat. We were seated at table #19 and waited and waited, for over 10 minutes before we caught sight of our waitress. When she entered her area, we were ignored as she attended to the other tables, then left without greeting us with a simple “Hello!” A full twenty minutes later, she finally greeted us. She was very unfriendly, never asked how we were, and made it seem like she was there for her money for the night. We placed our order, two tostadas, then waited for our chips/salsa and water, which the bus boy took care of. Once our food came, she again disappeared. We never once were asked how we liked our meal or had our cups refilled. My food unfortunately was luke warm, as well as my girlfriend’s meal. I was hoping I could request some hot sauce for my meal, but since she was no where to be found, I never had the chance to use it. She returned at the end of our meal with the check & thanked us for our service. I felt not just disrespected but appalled that she spoke to us a total of 2 times throughout our whole meal before bring us the check. She was not there for the service but for the money. I understand this restaurant has been critically acclaimed for you dishes & atmosphere. IAnd I am sure that they are truly a great place. Unfortunately from my experience , I will not be returning as a future diner.

On Dec. 3, 2016 my family and I stopped at this place for a bite to eat. We had previously heard the food was great but that was not our experience. Our ordered included fish tacos with rice and beans long with 3 orders of fish and chips and a steak burrito, pretty simple. To my surprise the food was not as described It was terrible. First we sent the burrito back because it was not very tasty. The meat was dry, beans tasted old and the rice must have been from the week before. The only thing that was good about was the empty spot on the plate to spit your food out. The rice and beans that came with the fish tacos were not any better. The rice was dry partially uncooked and had an orange color with no flavor at all. The fish was cooked and seasoned ok but the tortillas were uncooked. It was like they took the tortillas out of package and warmed them up just a little. The garnishing on the tacos was equally bad, so bad in fact that I removed it and only ate the fish from one taco. On to the fish and chips, the chips were good but I had enough grease on the plate that I could have fried an extra order of fries. Im really surprised the Mexican food was this bad especially considering there were many Spanish speaking people that work there. Id be embarrassed to serve the food they serve and call it authentic if I worked at this place. I will ever go back there and do not recommend this restaurant to any one. Bottom line save your money, thats the whole enchilada.

We went to this location Monday the 27th about 7:30. There we 3 of us and the place was semibusy. We waited about 20 minutes before checking back in with the hostess because others were being seated right away and wanted to make sure she didnt miss us. She stated she was still waiting for a table to come open. We waited another few minutes before asking if she could seat is at the two large empty tables. She stated the table is for five people and cant seat a party of three. We repeatedly asked why and questioned this reason and she kept refusing to seat is because we were a party of 3 not five. We asked to speak to a manager and one conviently was not available. When asked for a phone number of her boss she stated there was no one to call and when asked for a business card she stated she did not have one. We ended up leaving. Its unbelievable they would allow paying customers to leave simple because we were not a party of five, especially since they were not busy and had TWo empty tables. Do not have the name of this hostess but she lack any sense of good customer service. Ridiculous.

I would not attend this place again. I went there with some friends and family and as soon as we walked up to the door the person seating people walked away and didnt even greet us. He came back 15 mins later and said how many I told him I thought he was looking for a table he laughed and said no. I told him we were 8 and he said he needed to sit us separately, then that he couldnt there was 2 other families of 8 that needed to be seated and there was no one else waiting except us at the door so if we wanted to go that was fine. Then I called the supervisor on shift Dale or Del and he said I needed to understand they were short in the kitchen. I can tell this was a racist issue. We are Mexican and in case they did not notice it is a MEXICAN Restaurant. This was so F******* ridiculous. Crappy service and that was my first and last time there. Worst of all was that these 2 people were Mexican. Equal Rights A*** H****.

Place is well known in this region and has decent food, but the facility is looking a bit run down and staff wasnt to attentive. The beer we ordered wasnt chilled...I think because it was busy, they pulled it from a pantry rather than the fridge. It wouldnt take too much to put a few cases in a cooler/ice chest if you see its looking like a busy day. I had to go get our chips/salsa refilled because it was shift change or something. We also had some bikers (nothing against bikers) dropping "F" bombs every other sentence a few tables away. Maybe this was just an isolated experience, but just a so/so visit overall.

Our large group (18-20) comes down for the weekend every year and we always dine here on Thursday night. The owner always comes over to our table to greet us every year. The staff is always kind and accommodating, and they dont automatically add a service charge/tip for our huge group! On this visit I had one of their seasonal specials: Five large garlic grilled shrimp surrounding a large (and I mean large) fried artichoke heart topped with guacamole, resting on a bed of rice and a creamy crab sauce. This was one of the best dishes I have had here. We always leave looking forward to coming back the following year.

Well, to start off, one of the dishes served was incorrect and another was brought to the table chilled, not even close to warm. The chicken enchilada with mole sauce tasted as though it was made with sweet chocolate. Another from our party commented that the Chile Verde was salty. The carne asada was more like stew meat than steak. The refried beans and rice were fair at best, and had an unusual sweet taste. While seated, every time servers walked by it felt like one’s chair was being “bumped”, but was just a weak floor that transmitted vibration, very annoying. This wasn’t a good experience.
