Fantasic food. Who knew that the sleepy town of Aptos would have such a gem. How did we find it? Not easy. The restaurant was referred by another restaurant. You cant get a more objective recommendation than by a competator. After reading a glowing review, we tried it. However, it was hard to find, between a Yoga place and martial arts studio. But dont let the location deter you, the meal was one of the best french cuisine I have tasted in California. The chicken fricassee had a very balanced spice that lingered until the last bite. The rib eye steak bordelaise wine reduction sauce melted into the pallet. If this secret ever gets out, this restaurant will be a Santa Cruz County hot spot.

So what surprised me most, is they absolutely have the best bread Ive ever put in my mouth. Just exactly the perfect texture. I cant even really describe it, its like they know how to make bread down to the nanosecond. Exquisite. Other than that, the food was alright. Between my friends entrees and desserts and my own, I wasnt totally floored with anything, but I could taste the creativity and hint of potential. I look forward to going back and sampling more of the menu. Im pretty confident Ill find something amazing.

The wife is the chef, the husband is the server (and busser, and cashier). So when the place is busy, service can suffer a little - not the place to go if you are in a hurry. Food is wonderful - a lighter, fresher style, with plenty of flavor and finesse. Menu is small and changes fairly often, but usually something for the Veg people, the poultry-only-eaters, and the seafood and meat lovers also, plus nice salads and of course homemade soups. And all with a French accent!

Transported to France! This is a true secret although I do share it with others. This husband and wife team are so incredibly delightful - you feel like youre guests in their home. The menu is exceptional and the service marries the entire experience with impeccable attention to detail. The amazing food is perfectly priced. Thank you for bringing the wonderful flavors of France to Aptos.

Hiding in a strip mall, this is quite a find. Compared well to San Francisco neighborhood favorites. Few wines offered by the glass but they were nice. We ordered three dishes and all were extremely well cooked. The ravioli, the lamb and the mussels. Ill be back.

Great little place run by couple from France. Lunch prices are most reasonable. Small and intimate. Quite the gourmet experience. I love the chicken dish on the lunch menu.
