Well, for starters, we were overcharged for our drinks and sides. I was there a few weeks ago and was charged a lower price for the same drinks. There was no charge for a side of beans to dip our chips in. This time there was. They charged us for a side of sour cream that came with my husbands Mexican pizza! When I went to pay, I questioned the extra charges and high price of the drinks. The waitress said that her parents were the owners, and they charge less than other Ixtapas. I told her that wasnt true and that their prices were the same, except for the high drink prices. She became very rude and when I told her that we wouldnt be back, she waved at me and very sarcastically said, "bye, bye" not just once, but twice! And then told me she didnt need our business. Please dont patronize a business like this that overcharges and is so blatantly rude to their customers. I recommend El Paraiso in Snohomish. The food and service are great. And they appreciate their customers, not belittle them!

The most irritable experience I have ever had in a restaurant. I have worked customer service, I understand if you have ***hole customers and you dont feel like being too chipper. But my family and I are some really swell people, easygoing. My family and I went in there , and we were treated like we were a burden. The waitress saw us walk in, usually everyone makes the initial eye contact. Instead of coming over and greeting us and siting us down... she kept us standing there for 10 min. There were only 3 other people at one table in the whole restaurant. She also was condescending when asking for our orders. When she set down the bowl of soup for my sister she , snapped at her and said " watch out its hot !" Because she didnt move within the 1 second. The food was foul . I had diarrhea for two days afterward. I dont recommend this location of ixtapa. The one in stanwood is superb if you want excellent Mexican food, and prompt service.

Food has been great both times we have gone. However this time the waitress seemed like she was only trying to serve us quickly so she could get back and sit across from her friend a couple of booths in front of us. My daughter asked her for a smaller cup for her drink because she couldnt drink out of the straw without sitting on her knees ( the cup she was given was barely smaller than ours) and she was told that was the smallest cup they had, even though our water glasses were much smaller. Although happy with the food not happy with the service

I really dont even know how this place is still here the service and food quality is so shifty. Rotten cheese and grissle-asada one time, than eddible, decent food the next. Service speed isnt a big factor when you have chips in front of you. If youre willing to drive a little farther gold bar LaHa is the way to go.

Ixtapa is my favorite mexican restaurant. Even after being in mexico i still love ixtapa. I love that you can know the staff and how they are related and count on always seeing them. Best chips and salsa Ive had this side of the border!

Had a ground beef tostada. It was super flavorful. Grear decorations inside. The food was probably the fastest i have ever had. The paint on the walls needs a little work. Some of the chairs are dinged up. Overall a great experience....

First thing we noticed walking in the door was the smell of sewer, or maybe the restroom. Found the menus had not been wiped clean. Flavor of our meals was barely ok at best. Service was OK to fare.

Expensive but every meal starts with chips and salsa! Very heavy, greasy food, but filling!Their trash can is so rotten it stinks up main street from the back door.

One word, cockroaches. After finishing our meal we noticed something crawling on the curtain, upon further inspection it was determined it was a cockroach.
