Cheap booze, good music, lots of seating (indoor/outdoor), small "dance floor" area in front of the bar. The ambiance is cool and casual, the inside has dim lighting, movies playing on the TVs and there booths for seating. Be careful when you step outside, theres a weird little step thing near the doorway. The outdoor seating is filled w/picnic benches, twinkle lights, and beer paraphernalia on the wall which give it a cool backyard feel. They have game nights, which I have yet to attend, but is definitely on my radar. The bathroom is tiny and always busy. Ive been here a few times and have had fun every time. Theres usually a food truck near by, which is cool if youre hungry after you eat. Street parking only!

I might be a tad old for this place, the loud rap music etc. But no one is too old for crappy bartenders and snarky service. I live nearby, so close that I could frequent this place on a regular basis. I dont go much and every time I do, I get reminded why I dont. I think it was better when it first opened as the Verdugo, but I dont know who runs the place etc now. If you like loud music, the smell of Clorox and the bad end of a rude bartender, then by all means go...... I think I am done.

Located in a quaint area of Highland Park, Verdugo Bar is a gem off the beaten path. The outside of this place is not indicative of the inside. I happened to go on a Monday evening; seating was plentiful both inside and out back in the patio. There is a variety of draft and bottled craft beer. Each is priced accordingly to the mode of production and ingredients. My old go-to bar has become too hipster and pretentious for me. I think I have found myself a new go bar.

Really glad this place finally opened back up. Completely renovated inside and creates a really comfortable atmosphere. Drink menu selection is very good. Food menu is really intriguing, and it has improved each time Ive eaten there. I ordered chili and chips & gravy, and both were fine. I got the mushroom bread pudding the second time and thought it was delicious! Great cocktails and good beer selection. Really like the ambiance.

Cool place. Great beer, cool people. Love the food trucks. There is a photo booth and a bathroom that locks, which is always great at a bar. Outdoor area is the best part. Only thing that sucks is the music. Horrible music and its too loud. You are forced to listen to it/endure it whilst inside/ordering your drinks. Luckily the outside area makes up for it, as its not playing outside.

This place has an excellent beer selection, with amazing food trucks on sight nightly. The music is provided by a wide variety of rotating DJs, and great promotions like Beer Pong, Dodgeball, and pairings with the most popular food trucks in Los Angeles. The crowd is laid back and cool, with nary a pretentious soul in sight. My favorite bar in L.A. BY FAR.

We had some friends take us and its definitely tough to find. For a little place it definitely gets jumping and they play good music. Parking is free which is a plus so definitely make this part of your highlands pub crawl. You will feel like a bad ass going in through the big steel door of a hidden bar. An oasis of shots and dancing awaits you inside.

Its near, just around the corner, not too shabby! David the DJ rocks with his taste of music & beautiful character with a nice smile!! Great cold brew, prices are a bit too high so I didnt tip.. but I love the art & display signs on the walls & I like that it has a food truck out back just got the bars customers, that was just too fckn kool!!

Benjamin Cooper is now my favorite bar in the city.Mo and Brian are true craft cocktail masters. Incredible drinks. And best of all, they are totally down to earth and friendly.None of that pretentious bore you find at some places.Great ambiance, too! Its above the Three 9 Eight restaurant, which I mention because its easy to miss otherwise.

Almost missed this place because there was no sign. Ordered a cucumber margarita that was so refreshing and well balanced. Chips and salsa were terrific. The salsa was so fresh and had a delicious fire roasted flavor. The guacamole was off the hook. I has the octopus and the shrimp tacos. Much preferred the shrimp. We also had the Elites.

I dont live very close to Verdugo, but its a go-to spot if Im looking for a casual place to have a drink. A nice neighborhood bar tucked away in Eagle Rock, with great beer selection and a large outdoor patio area for board games/trivia. Cant do much better if youre looking for a spot to have a beer on a Sunday afternoon.

Have only gone on weeknights, fairly empty although I hear it can get packed. Great beer selection if you like specialty beers. Parking is street, but pretty easy to find. Bar is hidden, can be hard to find if you have never been there before. Good spot for a date if you want somewhere quiet.

One of best craft beer bars in LA and has a full bar with unique house cocktails. Check the website to plan your attack for the up to the minute tap list... Grab your $2 off draft happy hour and head out the darkness to the greatest patio in all of Glassell Park.

Delirium beer on tap is $9 and they dont give you a full glass. RIP OFF. Its the most expensive beer on their tap list and they dont give you a full glass?! Im baffled. The inside is a bit depressing but the back, outside area is nice for big groups of people.

Best beer selection and seriously flexing on the IPA game. The outdoor patio is the cutest and the music is always on point. The pours are appropriate for the eclectic types of beers. And $2 off all these yummy beers at happy hour!!

The beer garden is great. Plenty of places to sit and hang out. It takes awhile to get served but their beer list is pretty great. If this place was closer to where I live Im sure Id go a bunch but its not worth going out of my way.

Tue. pub quiz is great. This is a nice little dive with a huge patio and they usually have a food truck on premise, too. Its a great spot to come to, usually good music and not super loud. Parking is easy to have on the street.

Good selection of good draft beer. Could do without the bartenders attitude. When asked if she had a particular beer on draft she snarkily replied NO and slid the beer menu across the bar to me. Good selection of beer though...

Service seems improved but I did note that there is a big difference from the servers. If you stay longer they bring in the ringers (better tenders) and things get better. Still under staffed but the view never stops giving.

This is my neighborhood bar, and I love it with all my heart. The staff is beyond friendly, they feel like family. The vibe is amazing with its diverse pockets of people and everyone seems to get along just great.
