We got there a few minutes after 4 pm, and missed the deadline for the lunch menu..thats ok, we missed the cut- off hour. There was practically no one there at that time, but after we finished our dinner, other customers were arriving. So, if you want the restaurant all to your self, arrive between 2 pm and 4 pm. We had Christmas gift cards, so we selected our dinners. We were served bread right away, after our non alcoholic drinks. The bread was served like in a small type loaf with a knife stuck into it all the way to the hilt. We pulled the knife out of the presumably dead bread and ate it....it was good, we slashed and cut it into eatable pieces with the knife. Wife ordered the Angus Chopped Steak with Mash potatoes. I ordered the Ultimate Fish and Shrimp plate. We both got the clam chowder. We did not get any crackers, which is normally what we are used of getting with clam chowder. We didnt say any thing, cause the Clam Chowder by itself was delicious. But, we just wondered where were the crackers ? The Angus Chopped Steak was smothered in onions and mushrooms , all good. Wife shared some of it with me. I also shared my huge portioned plate of Ultimate Fish and Shrimp with her. Every thing good. Waitress filled up our Tropical Raspberry Tea about at least three times. We were thirsty. We were too full for dessert...just too full to walk out. But we managed to waddle out of the restaurant. We will return again when we get some more Christmas gift cards from our relatives...you see we are kinda of cheap...our dinner was about 46 bucks which is a little too much for our budget, to go out and eat all the time. I posted photos of the Clam Chowder, The Ultimate Fish and Shrimp and the Angus Chopped Steak plates.

Only reason Im giving two stars is because my meal was comped and the cheesecake pie thing was delicious. Came here two weeks ago and everything was going great. Ordered and the soup and salad came out and so did the cheesecake pie crush. When it came to the main food we waited an hour till the manager had to come and say that it was on its way... i was so disapointed. We were there for about an hour and a half and an hour of it was waiting for them just to acknowledge that they messed up. The manager told us that the "kitchen was busy" and said that the one dish that we ordered was comped an is coming out. At that point who cares? I had to get it to go and even after he said it was comped it still took another 20 minutes just to bring it. Whats worse is it was overcooked and i didnt even eat it. Overall i wont be back to this location or even claim jumpers really. Everyone around us got their food and even the two huge parties that came after us got their food. Worst experience ive ever had at a restaurant. Also left my hat there. RIP hat

Went to claim jumpers in Long Beach last night for Fathers Day dinner. After waiting a long time to be seated we set for over an hour and never received our food . I asked our waitress about it several times and she just said sorry. the manager never come and talk to us after she said she was going to send him over. we got up and left without getting our food did see the manager and he acted like he really didnt care probably will never go back to that claim jumpers and I am a Landrys member and I will send them a letter about the poor service we got there. Other people who have sat down after us were getting there food there were only three of us I have never received such poor service at a restaurant in my life. What made it real bad is that the manager really didnt care

Our waitress was great but she was handling to many people so she was running from table to table to table. She was the constant professional and friendly person the whole time. The table was sticky and as for the menus OMG!! They were sticky, tacky and exactly had food attached to my menu. The silverware was dirty. We had heard nice things about Claim Jumper and we were hungry so we stood. We should have left because we all felt that the food was extremely over priced for what we received and it was not all that. We were going to speak with the management, but he was talking with some our guest for sometime. We were very disappointed so we left.

Recently ate there. We got 22 oz beer, hawaiian martini(YUMMY), Pina colada, sirlion skewers for an app (steak was so tender), goldrush chicken-small (SO GOOD, small is like the size you get at the other chain link restaurants like applebees, chilis, outback, etc), Widow Maker Buger (HUGE, SO GOOD TOO!), and then we got the I Declair for desert (GIANT chocolate eclair, served with whip cream and ice cream, its was so BIG, could feed 4 people) all this was 71.34!! AWESOME PRICE for a full course and left with doggie bags too!

Huge platter of food, I could have split my meal with someone else and I would still be full. The portion size is huge. I had the deep fried steak. Yes, there is such a thing. It was good. This was a special occasion with friends, so we did a lot of appetizers. I have to say I like the food, though I wouldnt want to eat here every week, just too much. Location is nice, parking is very good, and the facility, both inside and out is well taken care of. Its a little pricey, but theres a lot of value, too. Would come back.

Party of 6..we were seated without a delay..the hostesses were nice..our waiter was very nice and attentive..we didnt have to ask for refills, nor napkins..the chefs were definitely skilled because the food was delicious and my family couldnt complain..except for not having room for dessert..LOL..the restaurant was packed and the staff kept the restaurant, including the restrooms very clean...we will definitely recommend this restaurant and looking forward to future dining experiences.

We had our Christmas dinner here and the service was awful, waitress spilled water on my coworker, they had to be asked several times to bring bread, when they did they brought it with no butter. We had to hunt down our server to bring our drinks, they never offered refills, when the food came waiters were lost and did not know who ordered what, by the time they gave us our food it was cold. Lousy service!!!!

Server was great, salad and bread were great! Fish and chips was not great, rubbery fish, the fries were ok My son has the top sirloin, not much flavor to it and it had a bit of gristle. It would have been ok if it were a $15 seven ounce steak but for $20, not so much. Not sure I will go back as I felt it was a little pricey for the quality. Portion sizes are really good though!

The salad bar is great and always fresh. Sorry I cant say the same about their menu items. Low quality and it seems the cooks dont care what it looks like on the plate. Always disappointed with their quality and presentation. This was my 4 th try in 2 years. I only recommend the salad bar.
