I LOVE Claim Jumper, but the times I have been to this one in particular, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong... we have chosen this twice for company lunches once about 5 years ago, and again a month ago, thinking that things surely must have improved after 5 years, but lo and behold, same issues as the first time we went: taking forever to get our drink orders, or our drinks, and our lunch orders... and from the time that we sat down to the time we were served our lunch it was probably well over an hour, even though it was clear we were a working crowd on a weekday lunch (which meant time was of the essence). I LOVE Claim Jumper but am saddened that the crew at this particular one has no sense of urgency with the working lunch-time crowd! :( Other times I have visited this restaurant (besides weekday lunch rush) they have been super slow as well... this has not been an issue at any other Claim Jumper I have visited.

Went to Claim Jumper for a work related lunch with about 10 people. We went right at noon which is normally a pretty busy time for an restaurant in the South Coast Plaza area but they seated us right away. We got drinks pretty quickly and they were doing some training with a new waitress so it was a little slow but overall the service was good for having a rather large party. I got the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. It was 7 ounces and in my opinion could have been twice that size because I always remember Claim Jumper for the huge portions. I had the tortilla soup for a starter and it was spicy but not to bad. I saw some of the salads that came to the table and kind of thought that I maybe should have gone with one of them. Solid 4 stars but not 5. The place just didnt blow me away.

Our regular family restaurnat for years. Just gone downhill under new owners. All our favorite dishes are gone, portions have gotten smaller and smaller and prices have gone higher and higher. Including side salad or soup with your ribs or steak costs almost as much as ordering it separately. Why try to fool the customers? Just present it as a la cart menu. Service definitly has gone down. No drink refills and we didnt get utensils through our appetizers until main course came out. This is after repeatedly asking for them. Food quality has also gone down. Terrible pastas and smaller sandwiches are also not as good. I think weve seen the last of this restaruant. Now to look for another good family restaurant that can accomodate our family of 12.

My exact rating for this place would have been a 3.5 out of 5 stars, but since I cant cast fractional votes, I voted four stars for the ambiance and decoration. This is a large place, with a nice setting. Service was quick and prompt. The food wasnt bad, but portions are on the small side for the price. Also, they have a surprisingly small variety of chicken dishes for the size of the menu. This place is a cross between Cheesecake Factory and BJs and should fare well with people who like the style of those venues.

My department comes here in occasion for lunches or birthday celebrations. The food is alright in my book but my boss seems to always have a craving for this place. Its a bit greasy to me but having it once awhile is okay by me. I highly recommend the widow maker burger. Its huge but completely manageable if you dont over stuff yourself with fries first. Its big and juicy. The bread and meat ratio is great. :D

Some of the worst food I have had in a large restaurant. They say it is fresh and it may be but my salad burger and fries each felt like they had been sitting for hours. Server was trying to be friendly but just came off as odd. Weirdest part, the server came to our table to give us the check to sign told us we had great service and stood there looking at us until the tip was filled out...

A Claim Jumper is a Claim Jumper is a Claim Jumper. Thats kind of the point, right? If you want to go somewhere where the plates are big and the atmosphere is dark, this is the place for you. Order an Ore Cart. Youll be pleased. I prefer quality to quantity so my go to dish is the English Toffee Pudding. That is most definitely a good time. If theres a huge crowd, try the bar.

The Rib Supper was outstanding. I got two ribs, and went with fries, veggies, and salad. The ribs were HUGE and very tasty. I was only able to eat one rib.... Ill have to finish the other later. Also ordered a CJ Red (beer), and that was also outstanding! Better Red than some breweries offer. Overall the food was great. I would definitely come back here again.

Easy parking, large dining area, fast service and good food. Looks like the bar is pretty big too. I was completely surprised by their "widow maker" burger. It was way way better than I expected it to be. It is almost at those speciality burger places quality. I really enjoyed my lunch experience. I shall come for lunch more often.

The appitiser was fanomonal and definitially worth the price. The bread at the beginning was also amazing and bu the time I got to my main course I could hardly eat any but the few bites I was able to take tasted awesome. The servers were so nice and funny and I wish I had heard of this place sooner. LOVE IT!!!!

Since Laundrys has taken over it is run more like a business and not Claim Jumper of old. $17 for a small Cobb salad and it was bad. Service was extremely good. Great environment. All our meals we small amd not great. Putting profits ahead of guest. Sadly I wont go back....

Can I say best happy hour for corporate America. The menu is new, and the quality is even better!! Friendly and inviting staff... The menu has a great selection; even a portion for vegetarians. If you havent been in a while I would give it another chance.

Detected some negative attitude with customer service. I received the appetizer but no silver ware so the main course arrived while I was working on it. Waiters did not remember the orders - missing request.

Its a beautiful place, employees very nice shocked at how small happy hour appetizers were. Would never go back. Really sad. Would rather pay more than be have 1/4 of the plate covered Rate-Zero

The Boneless rib-eye steak was good but wasnt warm. The lettuce in the salad was stale. The French onion soup was served in a cup that can hold a whopping two ounces. Good Times!

Waited for over 10 minutes after being seated and watched the waitress visit people just coming in. I just walked in and left. Terrible dining experience.

Ive gone to this location during weekday lunchtime and I never found it particularly busy. Decent appetizers, especially the loaded baked potato skins.
