We have enjoyed the prix fixe dinners very much, great food and fresh ingredients. The service has always been outstanding and the surroundings comfortable. HOWEVER We have stayed away for twelve months because of one bad experience.We booked dinner for New Years Eve . Friends arrived from London the day before and we had a group of eight . I am never happy to be next to large groups when dining so asked that we be placed in a corner for the sake of those who didnt want to enjoy our conversation, I need not have worried. During the booking conversation nobody thought to mention that there would be live entertainment . Very loud live entertainment . We couldnt hear the wait staff or each other and it seemed rude to yell during the entertainment , ( who was a very good singer by the way ) so we ate in glum silence becoming more and more resentful with each song. we ended the evening angry and anxious to leave having paid for eight friends to eat at a concert. However......pushing that grudge aside we went for brunch last week . There were two other people in the dining room , service was good and my eggs benedict excellent , waaaay too many potatoes but one shouldnt complain about having too much. We have been given a gift certificate for dinner at Delius but this time we are going to ask about the entertainment .

Every time I go here, I want to try other dishes but nearly always end up with their Stuffed Pork Tenderloin on a bed of gnocchi potato dumplings. The dark sauce is excellent. The entire dish amazing! Last week I tried their Braised Boneless Beef Short Ribs. These were also unbelievable. They are tasty. I have eaten here 12 times or so, and service was VERY slow twice. I mean slow to an unacceptable level. The other 10 times it was five star service. This also did not depend on a rush hour, just the server that you have. The slowest point is getting the bill and one of those times it was a new server. Everything else about this place is 5 stars. Food A+, Decore A+, Wine Selection is Endless, and the Happy Hour is a nice touch if you make it in earlier on a week day. I would suggest everyone try the place at least once. I believe it to be the best place in signal hill along with De Vince by the airport. Adrian

Outstanding experience for my first time to this restaurant. The three most impressive aspects to this place were the ambiance, the food, and the customer service. The place was well organized with appropriate lighting for the evening and a cozy, quiet sitting area. The food was incredibly well-prepared and served timely and hot. We ordered the Smoked Octopus, Pan-Seared Salmon, and Flank Steak. I must say the octopus was incredible, yet all three were flavorful and well-paired with sides and garish. The servers never made us feel rushed, and even went so far as to allow us to stay an hour beyond closing since I am assuming they could tell how much we were enjoying the evening at this place. Truly wonderful night!

My personal experience with the restaurant has been great. Love the food and the ambiance, but BEWARE OF THEIR GIFT CERTIFICATES! I bought one for a friend who didnt use it right away. After calling and verifying that it was still good, they made a reservation. WHILE THEY WERE EATING, the owner came out and said that the certificate had been "altered" (he wouldnt say how a gift certificate for two people with no wine had been altered) and wanted to charge them full price. SHAME ON THEM!

The food is great but the service is slow. I had to ask the waiter for water twice and still didnt get it. I ended up going to the bar myself and asked for a glass of ice water. The place is loud too and by the end of the dinner I was tired because I felt like I had to practically yell across the table so my wife could hear me. We decided that we shant return.

Ive been to Delius for both their a la carte dinner and for their pre-fixe dinners. Both were fine, but nothing insanely special. Given the lack of places to go for a nice evening out in this part of Long Beach, I would recommend Delius, but if you dont mind driving elsewhere in the South Bay, there is better food and value to be had.

The entire menu is incredible. Ive always had the best experience here. The staff is professional and a joy to be around. The food & drink is worth every penny. The atmosphere is calm but fun. I recommend this restaurant to everybody I know. Im not really a wine person, but Ive always seen people really enjoying the selection.

The service was so bad that it completely overshadowed the fabulous meal. Outstanding food at a great price, but even if your computers are down it does not excuse not taking drink orders until 1/2 hour after being seated nor waiting 20 minutes after 1 dessert is served for the rest of the table to be served their desserts.

This is a reliable place for good kobe burger sliders, fish and chips and other staples. Casual but still pretty nice. They have decent wines. Also dont miss the desserts. The carrot cake is killer. My only complaint is its a bit pricey. But I have yet to have a bad meal here.

Very popular place for business and formal meetings, however, the dining area can be very loud when busy. For a party of 6, one end of the table will have trouble hearing the other end. Otherwise, food is good.

Great service and I love there food. Come here often for lunch. Work at Boulevard Cadillac and Buick/GMC across the street. Come here when I need to take people out.
