Dont waste your time with this restaurant. My family and I dined at Green Street for brunch(on 1/13), celebrating both my husbands and step-daughters birthday. I had requested a table/booth in the corner. Instead they gave us one right by the door. Ugh. It took A LONG time to be able to place our order. Once it was placed, the food came in a fairly timely manner, with the pancakes that both my husband and I ordered nice and hot. HOWEVER, the syrup was stone cone and NO WAY would we EVER put COLD syrup on hot pancakes. So, I tried to flag a server down as ours was NO WHERE to be seen. Not only did a few who looked right at me, turned their head, one of the managers who I asked to get our server right away, did not even ask what was wrong. He could have taken care of the problem himself, instead he went into the kitchen where he told our server and it took her another FIVE minutes to come see us. By then, our NICE & HOT pancakes were only warm. She proceeded to tell us that you always serve the syrup cold. I could not believe this. My husband and I have NEVER, EVER, been to a restaurant for brunch where the syrup was served cold. We were shocked. She was kind of snotty about it, but went and sort of heated our syrup up, it still wasnt hot, but by then we were hungry and our pancakes were getting cold. I was ready to send them back, but my husband said no, because he didnt want to make more of an issue of it because of the birthday celebration. Had the pancakes been served with hot syrup, they would have been amazing. Instead, they were just o.k. and we both left extremely disappointed. The server must have realized we were kind of upset because she did apologize for the cold syrup and after having ignored us at first, became a little more attentive towards the end. In any case, after what we experienced today, what should have been a really nice brunch, left us with a bad feeling in our mouths and very, very disappointed. We WILL NOT be back.

We were some of the original customers of this restaurant back in the early 80s when it was a whole in the wall and actually ON Green Street. Came back for some nostalgia and sadly: it aint what it used to be! Example: Hot Fudge Sundae . . . sounds pretty simple, doesnt it? Vanilla ice cream, fudge sauce, whipped cream, toasted almonds. What could you possibly do to that?! Well -- for starters: you could put Cool Whip on it and claim on the menu that its whipped cream! YES!! can you even believe it? When we questioned the staff they trotted out the container of whipped topping (printed clearly on the side) and tried to convince us that it was the very BEST whipped topping! Adding insult to this injury they had the nerve not only to refuse to comp the crappy sundae but upcharged us for the almonds which the menu clearly stated were included! (I guess our spending $30 for lunch wasnt enough.) Is this was success does? You can lie on your menu, overcharge for a small item that should have been included, according the the menu, and expect your customers to just smile and nod. Unbelievable!

Green Street Restaurant is a great not-so-little spot for brunch/lunch. They have a parking lot right next to the restaurant. Just be sure to get a validation. The wait can be a little crazy on the weekends. I usually have to wait about 30 minutes or more for a table. When you check in, theyll give you a short timeframe like 15 minutes but I always end up waiting quite a bit longer. I enjoy their salads but wished there was less of the other ingredients and more of the lettuce/salad veggies. All their breakfast dishes are pretty solid. Ive had a few dishes including omelettes, eggs benedict and crab benedicts. They were all delicious. The service is good but the food takes a while to come out. I have never been here for dinner but heard that its not that great.

Our firm orders catered salads from here at least once or twice a month. A salad $60 each. Last time we had it, two items were left out of the salad. I was having a busy day and forgot to call them to bring it to their attention. I called today to order ANOTHER SIXTY DOLLAR SALAD and when I asked the manager, Heather, if she could just add a bit extra of what was left out last time to make up for it she said "no, unfortunately we cant do that unless we get called the same day" You know what, your business just got a little slower Green Street. The hundreds of dollars we have spent there even this year so far just might become a less frequent occurrence in the future. The lack of customer service and loyalty is mind boggling to me.

The food is fresh and tasty, great for salads, sandwiches, lite dinners and the like. They even had some nice choices or a vegan friend that tagged along. The service is fine, staff very friendly and upbeat and they go the extra mile to please the customer. Funny, my son was with some friends (HS and early college age) and they wanted to eat at a place like Carrows or Shakers. He didnt want to eat there because he is a bit picky and asked that they go to Green Street instead. They all moaned and groaned that it was too expensive for them. As it turned out the prices were about $2 - $3 higher than the run of the mill eatery but the quantity and taste were leaps and bounds higher. I would give 5 stars but its not a 5 star restaurant.

Best service and food in Pasadena. This restaurant has been around for decades. Ive been going since I was a little girl of 5 or so with my mom, grandmother, and great aunt. Green Street has been a staple I miss when Ive lived elsewhere and an amazing restaurant that Im grateful is in my hometown. Their zucchini bread is a classic theyre known for along with their giant delicious salads, especially the Dianne salad. Their burger is made with Kobe beef and is outstanding. Their specialty items are generally out of this world and you can bet on loving any of them. I highly recommend anything on the menu. And they have a full bar!!! I love Green Street!!!

First, I will start with the positives, the fries and rice I had as sides were both perfecly adequate, and the outdoor seating as very nice. However, the meal I had, the chopped steak was one of the most disapointing meals I have had for some time. It was nothing more than an unseasoned, extremely bland burger patty, not my idea of a steak. What is more frustrating is that it was nearly $20, which is an outrageous rip off for a meal of such quality. A similar burger patty with cheese and a bun is avaliable at many other restaurants for half the price. I will not be returning to Green Street Restaurant.

I have been coming here for over 20 years and I love it. The place has ample space inside and out. During the warm season its best to sit in the patio section and enjoy the ambiance. Free surface street parking off Córdoba or cross street. Otherwise you pay at adjacent parking structure. Diana salad is the main attraction. Its really good. I recommend to order it with romaine lettuce. One more thing I recommend is the turkey Reuben sandwich. Its gotten a bit smaller but its still really good and off the menu. The zucchini bread is also really good.
