So, I bought a groupon for this place awhile back and it expired end of september, so me and my husband decided to go last night (wednesday) with our other married couple friends. A party of 4, we arrived ( NOT JUST FOR GAY people, very comfortable environment on a wednesday night at 7pm.) -There was no wait! and when you walked up to the restaurant it was an unexpected gem in Long beach. It was a nice atmosphere -- NOTHING like the WEBSITE!! - which is very misleading!! Whats with the piano/techno music and the strob lights and craziness... the website does not do the Paradise Piano Bar justice... they need to make the restaurant and website more cohesive. even though they turn into a crazy bar until 2am.. they definetly need to change that website.. and update it with accurate info. -We had Megan as our server - very friendly, down to earth, and i like how she called me out on my sassiness, like she was our friends. :) We ordered the deep fried artichokes - delicious!!! and alot for $8! and i had the tilapia - the lemon caper sauce wasnt the best - a bit to tart and bittter for me - would have prefered it to be a little less powerful - but fish was great! my husband had the spare ribs - they were great as well - no fat and tasty. Our friends had the paradise burger - they enjoyed it as well. We also ordered a bottle of wine since it was half of wine wednesday!! - 14 hands - pretty enjoyable for $13 a bottle! - Overall, atmosphere, food, and service was good. It was in a weird area- a hidden gem. but if you live in the area - this could be your favorite place!!! ( I dont think the spare ribs were worth $26 kinda expensive.. ) The weird thing is I will tell everyone how great the UNEXPECTED vibe was in there and the food was good and service was good...but it was nothing amazing :( So we probably wont return since its far away - we live in Aliso Viejo. And well it was just good, nothing amazing! They are missing something and I cant put my finger on it... :(

Paradise is what you make of it... What does Paradise mean to you? Well, in the case of THIS Paradise (Bar & Restaurant) - Paradise is fairly decent and a nice place to visit... The service and the drinks are usually top notch... The owner and staff do their best to be sure that youre well coddled... even if sometimes they fall a litte shy of the mark. Yes, it can be a little pricey - but many ... boutique bars and restaurants are pricey... Dont come to Paradise looking for dollar shots and 2-buck chuck. This is a far more refined place - offering great mixed drinks (Martnini, anybody?) in a relaxed and upscale atmosphere.. The food is ... not too bad. Sure, sometimes its not perfect - but what in life is...? There have been problems in the past with the chef(s) that have come and gone, but when a good one is there, the food cant be beat... The feel is .. subdued .. and very neighborhood. This isnt some snooty "big city" attitude place - just a nice step above the local watering holes... Give Paradise a chance - you may just be surprised...!

I expected a much better experience because of other reviews. I was very disappointed however. The server was extremely unattentive and made it seem like it was such a chore to simply speak to us, let alone to do so in a friendly manner. My friend and I went for all-you-can-eat tacos on Taco Tuesday. After our first round of tacos, we sat for 12 minutes just waiting for the server to come back around and get our next order of tacos. We got four rounds of tacos and they all came out cold. At another point in time, we wanted to order more tacos and he had come around 3 times without so much as an "Ill be right with you." He thanked us for our patience when he should have been apologizing for the wait. I was extremely disappointed with the service.

Went for Saturday morning brunch: bloody Mary was very tasty, and made from scratch. I had the California Benedict, and it was probably one of the best I ever had. on an open faced chunky bread with a thick slice of ham and plenty avocados. They do not skimp on the ingredients here. My friends had the Chilaquiles and eggs and bacon. Everybodys portions were more than enough to become sated. The waiter was super friendly, and the food came out at reasonable time. Ill definitely be back next time I visit LB! PS: They have bottomless memosas

Ive Djd various venues in New York, Miami, LA, Hollywood, Palm Springs, OC and Long Beach. Paradise Bar will always be on my top 5 when it comes to venues and location. Intimate, yet accommodating to fit 70-100 patrons on the nights I played there. A different music aesthetic from what those other bars down the street were playing. The word quickly spread throughout LBC; the locals came out to get a good dose of underground Disco and House Music. Good times!!! Yours truly, Dj Steve Flores (resident 2012-2015).

The Paradise bar and restaurant is the sweet spot if the historic Long Beach Broadway Corridor. Its where the crawl begins. From craft cocktails to prime rib and juicy handmade burgers the Paradise never disappoints. With frequent live music and a grand piano that gets player by local artists, the Paradise also hosts some of the best karaoke djs in OC and LA counties. The staff is polite and efficient and the kitchen serves up fresh made food that brings us back again and again! Not to be missed!

Great place for a date or even just an intimate dinner with friends. Good food and drinks. Excellent decor. The service was the best I had in a long time. From the moment we walking in the door, everyone was very friendly and made sure we always had what we needed without being pesky! Will return.

Went for brunch with my sister. Wow! The egg sandwich w cornmeal bun, egg, cheddar, tomato jam, avocado, bacon was to die for. In the background the piano player is singing on the bar side. Our adorable server, Moses is super nice. Will definitely be back.

This is our semi-regular Saturday night hang. They host a local musician who plays the piano and takes requests, Kevin Wood. Hes great and we enjoy the fun atmosphere that night. I havent tried a lot of their menu but what Ive tried Ive liked quite a bit.

Lindsay was amazing, her personality and kindness, plus attention to our order was awesome! When you order a Moscow Mule with Lemon instead of Lime people often say no, and think youre crazy, but not Lindsay!! Oh and great prices on happy hour!

They Paradise bar focused on the art of mixology. the mixologist is knowledgeable and friendly. I am almost hesitant in giving 5 stars fearing that this place will quickly become too popular and overcrowded.
