The service is terrible. The indifferent attitudes towards seating customers by order of arrival and service accordingly is depressing. Wait times for appetisers and main courses are dreary - and no wonder the kitchen is woefully understaffed for the number of tables it caters to. It is almost impossible to get the attention of the waiters should you need something - such as water - extra sides - place additional food order in advance. The food is pre-emptorily dumped on your table and the waiter is gone. The food stinks. Literally. It appears the "masala" in the dosa is refrigerated and heated and used over and over - the potatoes were literally going bad. When I went to the the cashier and pointed out the fact - he insisted the food was fresh and prepared this evening. None of the family ate the Dosa orders on account of this fact. The rice dishes had the rice grains literally dried up. We decided this was a wash and walked up to the cash register - paid the bill - certainly did not tip them and walked out. We then went over to Red Robin to have dinner - starved that we were. This place is a travesty and it is amazing that they are still open and brazenly carrying on a business. My family would not recommend it - given the singular experiences that we had.

Awesome buffet ever. Pros: 1. Nice crisp hot Dosa served on table 2. Soft best ever Naan served on table 3. Great place for Manchurian lovers 4. Delicious Mushroom curry 5. Piping hot Indian masala Chai 6. Worlds best dum biryani 7. Spongy soft gulab jamun 8. I never knew beetroot halwa can be this yummy 9. Variety of other dishes too 10. Great service Cons: 1. Was expecting More flavorful Sambhar but it was not bad at all 2. Other sweet dishes were ok Overall 9/10 buffet experience .. we have been to other so called famous overpriced buffet places too . This was worth every penny.

Absolutely delicious Indian food. The ambience is not that great and the variety within their menu not great as well. But what they do have on the menu, they prepare very well. Very courteous staff. You should order ahead to save time. They do not deliver but pickups are available. The staff here are extremely friendly and the food is super delicious. Dont let the fact that this has a lot of dosas and South Indian dishes fool you - they have the best Paneer tikka masala in town! Try out the super thick Mango masala lassi and okra fry delicacies while youre there!

I and my collegues used to lunch at Tabla Flavours weekly, unfortunately, we now come a lot more sporadically. The reason for the cooling is simple - service has become unpredictable and often poor. However my experiences at dinner time were always good. The food used to be superb, but lately the flovours seems to have started to trail off. One effect of discovering this place for both myself and my friends has been this: we stopped going to indian restaurants in San Mateo for lunch. The buffet food pales in comparison to what Tabla Flavours has to offer.

Everyone in the world should know about this place! Who cares about the customer service, the setup, the atmosphere, or the music! The food is what actually matters and it is completely worth it! The prices arent crazy expensive and please do not even get me started on the spectacular food. Whatever happens in that kitchen is magic because the food turns out so fresh, tasty, delicious, authentic, mesmerizing, and most of all is the quality of it. I am in love in with this Indian restaurant.

Ive tried quite a few dishes here. So far all have been really good. They run out of samosas fairly often so if they have it when you get them! It does get pretty busy in the late lunch 1-2pm and around 6:30ish for dinner. Service is good, pretty laid back and theyre good at suggesting items. They also make special levels of spicyness for those that cant handle spicy (my dad) and those who love spicy foods.

Hit or miss with the different dishes. Chilli paneer is great and the saag paneer, butter chicken, chicken tikka and malai kofta are alright as well. Biryani is great. We usually end up getting a take out and their time estimates can be off sometimes by half hour especially on busy nights on the weekend.

Delicious Indian food at a good price. We dont dine it so I dont know how their table service is but their take-out service is great. The food is usually ready within a few minutes of when they promise it to be ready. I wish they had an online ordering system....cmon this is Silicon Valley!

Dosas were crisp and tasty, sambar delicious, but service was slow and inattentive. They did not seem able to respond to basic requests. Would rate service as 2 stars, maybe even 1.5. The restroom strangely provided no soap, just a bottle of purell where soap would normally be.

Went there after almost 8 years. The new management has done some good changes. The service is good, menu is great. Food better than before. The one thing they can do better is STOP playing the annoying music. It was some madrasi DVD that messed up my afternoon.

Good food, amazing service, and a reasonable atmosphere. Our server was sooo courteous and the food was delicious. Pretty cheap too... Only thing I wish they did was turn the TVs off. But thats a minor gripe. Will definitely make sure to go again.

This is our near-weekly family favorite for a low-key place with outstanding Indian food for a reasonable price. Their Spring Dosas, Samosas, Veg Deight, Dal Fry, and Chicken Tikka are our regular favorites. Great value too.

4.5 stars. Really like this place a lot. Totally authentic southern Indian food; scrumptious and spicy. In an Indian part of town, a coworker recommended this place, its too bad they are not open when I drive home from work.

After the management change recently everything is so much better, the service, the decor, but the most important thing has changed for worse, their food. We used to go there very often for lunch on Sunday, not anymore.

This place had the worst smell you could imagine. Inconsiderate rude staff I have ever had to deal with. Not to mention this establishment was beyond filthy. Would not ever recommend anyone to visit.

This restaurant has no fancy features, except the food. If you want great indian food with reasonable prices, this is for you. If you are looking for a fancy dining experience, think twice...

This is one of the best restaurants in the locality. Provides tasty Indian cuisine, some of the items I can say is in par with certain five star restaurants in India. So much simply elegant.

Its close to where I work and while its not the best Indian food Ive had, I still go there all the time. Its standard, good, worth trying. Slightly hidden inside a shopping complex.
