I first heard about this restaurant from a friend. He said they have the best Indian food he has ever had. (He has tried many places all over Sacramento area) I will be honest with all of you, I’m not a fan of Indian food UNTIL I tried there buffet, specially the Chicken Tikki Masala (spelling?). They have an awesome selection of different types of dishes. They offer all types of curry’s, rice’s, chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes, and a special featured dessert. Now if this place only had great food it would just equal any other Indian restaurant that has great food. However, I’m saying this place is the BEST and if it’s true that a place is only as good as its people, then I’m telling the truth. The service is so nice and willing to serve I could only compare it to being at a guess house on Thanks Giving. On top of it all, the price is great too! If you ever wish to watch belly dancers dancing and lessoning to traditional Indian music, stop by Saturday for dinner. You’ll love it!

Best Indian food in Sac. Period. We ordered Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, garlic naan (at the owners recommendation) and lassis all around. The food was OUTSTANDING. They even adjust spice levels from 1-10 (we ordered a 7 and a 10, and there was actually a difference!) My wife is a spice junky and I try to be, but we were both VERY happy with it. I cant say it enough, this is the best Indian food in the Sacramento/Roseville/Yuba City area, hands down. Oh yeah, the owner is very friendly also and they do well with kids if you bring them along (we took our 3 year old and had zero issues, which is rare for any 3 year old). We came from about an hour away and will definitely be going back on a regular basis... this place is that good.

I went here on a Saturday for the lunch buffet. Walked in the restaurant and the only party was leaving so it was just us. I almost immediately turned around thinking they would not have much out since it was 2 already. But! The older gentleman said there was plenty left and convinced me to stay. I had 3 plates full of amazing chicken curry and tandori chicken. Free naan with lunch and really good food. He made more chicken curry just for me at 2:20 when the lunch buffet closes at 2:30. He did ask us to vote for his store a few times but that doesnt bother me, it was well over $20 worth of food for $10. Best deal for Indian food! We had dinner here once, the food was very good but pricey like most places are for dinner.

We had a group of 15 from the office go out for a team lunch. I contacted the proprietor a day ahead to make a reservation (not that you need one for buffet) but it helps to have the table all set. We had a wonderful time. A man was all dressed up in Indian robes and was waiting on us, we were offered complimentary garlic naan, kabuli naan and sweet lassi. The food was good and the entire preparation made the event a memorable one. I would suggest that if you want to treat your team to good Indian food alongwith the Indian ambience, this is the place to go to. Do give them a days heads up.

I was very pleased with my dining experience at the India House in Folsom. The Tandoori chicken is incredible, spiced just to my liking. The Garlic Naan was perfect and the rice pudding made a very nice dessert. They had a good selection of local wines and even some Indian beers. I would definitely go back and bring my friends. The service was superb and I felt like the owner and his team were very sincere in ensuring I had a good meal and positive dining experience. I enjoyed talking with them about India, learning some things about the Indian culture and history.

The "colorful" owner Daljit Sandhu is your host, and he will be more than happy to share with you his eventful life, and the exotic merits of his homeland. Then there is the food. Instead of not knowing where to start as in most Indian restaurants(unless you grew up there)...you simply tell him, or his appointed Family member, what kind of meat and vegetables that you like and what arrives is as different as anything you grew up on. I wont eat eggplant at any other place. We always order heavy, so that we have several days of the best leftovers ever!

India House in Folsom was more than I expected. The food was wonderful and service was first class. I ordered the Tandori Chicken with a side order of Garlic Naan. The rice was tender and fluffy and when I mixed the rice with the sauce from the Tandori, it was truly a treat to my tastebuds. I topped off the meal with the rice kheer which had just the right texture and sweetness [I admit, Im picky]. Yummy... Ill go back. They had a lot of items on the menu I want to try.

I have visited 2 times to this place in the last 2wks for dinner , food is ok but the service is too slow. Sardarji on the counter has to look for every thing and I was bored to hear same words again and again from him. If the new customer comes in and he will forget about you for a while. I would say place your order as soon as you enter into the restaurant. Food is not bad, you can give a shot..

First of all, if you are looking for your first Indian food experience, this is the place for you. The food is outstanding, the flavors are excellent and there is great family service. We have always felt welcome. India House is wonderful because you can also choose your own spice level. We love the Chicken Tikka Masala. However, we try something new each time and are NEVER disappointed.

Their chicken biriyani tastes horrible and its an insult to biriyani. Though the quantity of chicken was enough but it was nothing more than spicy turmeric rice with a lot of cilantro and shredded omlette. Even Khicdi at home tastes better than what they are serving in the name of biriyani. I am never going to have food from them again. Completely ruined my taste buds. Simply waste of money.

Very personalised attention. They understand the value of excellent customer service in getting repeat buisness. The food was delivered without any delay and was presented elegantly. Considering the quantity offered , I thought I would surely end up packing a portion for home but it was too delicious to stop. it was fingerlicking good. The downside-more time at the Gym. Will come back.

India House is one of my favorite restaurants. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the service is great and the food is delicious. They have an excellent buffet-style lunch with several entrees to choose from. I have recommended India House to many friends and family members. They have all loved it too, and have been back on multiple occasions. I highly recommend it!!
