Great food. The buffet is small: 4 meat dishes, 4 vegetarian dishes, rice, salad, condiments and dessert. On the plus side everything is good or great. Butter chicken is easily the best item on the buffet. Plus you get free naan or garlic naan with the buffet. $9.99.. cant be beat. They also have a regular menu if the buffet is not to your liking. Prices range from $10-$15. As close to authentic Indian food as you will get in Merced. I have taken many friends there and they all want to go there every time they visit and they fill their plates with butter chicken...lol. Staff is super friendly and attentive. One of the best places in merced to eat if not the best.

This is one of our all-time favorite restaurants. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about their menu - they will know which dishes are good, and mild, for first timers. The facility is clean, with a very nice selection of background music. And the food... ah... absolutely delicious! Every dish we have tried on the menu has been consistently our new favorite. And the Naan... mmmm.... We have not tried the Tandoori menu yet, but plan to soon. Turmeric is also a repeat favorite of our monthly dinner group. Please give them a try - you will not be disappointed.

Ordered Chana bhatura. Got home, with NO bhatura. Thats half the dish, how can you forget half of my meal? I called before I left my house to make sure it was ready when I got there. Its just bread after all. So after a 5 minute drive back to Turmeric, it wasnt ready. It took another 10 minutes of me waiting for it to finally be ready. So in total, I spent an hour waiting for my food. Its pretty decent Indian food, but an hour is way too long of a wait for a to go order.

BEST Indian Food around! The buffet is phenomenal and their dinner is a special experience. Everyone who loves this kind of food needs to stop by and try it, theyll get hooked! Awesome food every single day weve been there, and extremely friendly customer service. The Indian music and art is just an example of their attention to detail! Love the atmosphere, but most of all the food is to die for.

WOW! So good! I am actually writing this review while I eat, I am that impressed! Lunch buffet is outstanding. Lots of options, perfect chutneys, hot garlic naan. I tried the other place downtown, and they were ok, but this place is much better as far as variety. There are not very many great places to eat in Merced and I feel like I struck gold here. Bravo!

When I decided to try this restaurant, I was not expecting much. However, the food was surprisingly amazing. Their Saag Paneer and daal makhni were divine! If you want authentic Indian food, this place is worth the visit. I have found that the individual entrees are better than their buffet (although the buffet is alright too).

Ive been to Turmeric multiple and the lunch buffet is excellent. The staff are very attentive and always making sure their guest are enjoying their meal. When business is a bit slow they may be a little to enthusiastic and stop by a bit too often. Overall it is a great restaurant.

Love the buffet. There are always the standard ones like butter chicken, but plenty of other variety. Its not hot, but you can make it hot if you want to go that direction. My wife loves it because she doesnt eat meat and there half of it is veggie, which I love too.

I tried lunch buffet (only vegetarian dishes) few days back, and it was amazingly delicious. If you like peaceful atmosphere while eating, visit this place between 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM. I will definitely visit this place again as well as will recommend to friends.

Fantabulous customer experience... We got in there almost to the closing time. Im not sure if she is the owner, she made sure to respect the call we made to be served and off all the food served was very good and would recommend anyone to try it here.

Pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Indian restaurant in this part of the state! Food was excellent! Had the Bhindi masala and Malai Kofta with Naan and Kulcha, everything was mouth watering and delicious! Must stop for anyone in this area.
