My husband and I throughly enjoy Taj Mahal! The food has always been on par. Ive noticed the restaurant gets very poor service reviews. I have never had a problem. You do, however, have to take into account the lack of servers for the amount for customers which maybe the only negative aspect for service. The servers have always been polite and kitchen timely with the food. The food honestly would be worth any bad service anyways! I love their shrimp tikka masala and my husband always gets the chicken palak. I also like the biryanis, but beware the spice level, if you do not like spicy food (which I do not) ask for it extremely mild and they will be glad to accommodate!

Always been a fan of the food, but the customer service and wait time for food is poor. Had one bad experience there regarding a misunderstanding with my card and a disputed charge, but to the restaurants defense that was a fluke situation that is likely not to happen again. *I was also targeted personally targeted by name for putting my input on this site. This should be a safe space for people to write their personal experience. If you object write a good experience to help the restaurant, do not personally target another review. Also, my server had the same name as the person who who wrote about me. If it is the same person that is a completely fraudulent review.*

Just Okay. Their Sag Paneer was too green, not enough cream in it. The Shrimp Tikka Masala was ok but the shrimps were too small for this dish. I have had this dish at every Indian restaurant I have been to and the shrimps are always jumbo. The service was not so good either. We had to get up and delier the check and credit card to the waitress. The lamb in the lamb biryani was overcooked, dry and rough. Overall I would not rate this restaurant very high since I know good Indian food but in a town like Yakima there is not much tocompare it to. I would not return.

I have eaten in Indian restaurants around the nation, including the best in Manhattan and New Jersey. Taj Palace is excellent and ranks among the best I have experienced--and I am picky about good food. The decore is okay (not superior) and its not the most intimate dining experience (its ok, but not superior) but the food is excellent. Easily one of the top restaurants in the entire Yakima valley. We are lucky to have it in Yakima. Spread the word so we can keep it.

Im sad to say, I stopped coming to this, the only Indian restaurant in the Central Washington area. Indian is my favorite cuisine. I was thrilled when it opened, years back- 2007 ish. The last takeout, some weeks back, the naan was ACTUALLY raw dough in the middle. The main Hostess was beyond rude when I told her about it later. She used to be nice, idk what happened to her. Still one of the most elegant places in Yakima for a date However. Eat in usually good!

Well, the first couple of times I went to Taj Palace, I stuck with the self-serve selection. The food was very tasty. But then I went with someone who was married to an East Indian, and he helped me order the most wonderful and exotic small plates! Delicious! The waitress informed us they were getting ready to install a bar area. That was in mid-April. I dont know if its installed yet, so Ill update this next time I go.

I have never had a bad experience at Taj Palace. In what used to be a Mexican themed restaurant, the owners of Taj Palace have really done a fantastic job transforming the building into a beautiful Indian experience. My favorite thing to order is the buffet, which runs all day on Sundays and everyday for lunch. The food is absolutely delicious, and I would recommend each dish. Taj Palace is a truly wonderful place to eat.

I went there for lunch with some co workers. It was my first time eating Indian food and I was blown away. It was REALLY good! I had the buffet and tried the tandori chicken and butter chicken. They were extremely tasty. The rice was good, and Naan bread is amazing. Why havent I tried Indian food sooner? The restaurant was very clean and the service was quick and friendly. One of my new favorites in Yakima.

Best food in Yakima. My wife and I go there as much as we can. Excellent flavors with each dish, and service is indeed very good. We have had a tough time finding Indian food even almost as good in Seattle or even Southern CA. If you dont want to do the buffet, we especially recommend the navratan korma dish! as we do the butter chicken!

Dont listen to the haters! This place is fantastic! The food is delicious and flavorful. Having traveled through India myself, I think this is the best Indian I have had on the west coast. The customer service is excellent and the main hostess is very sweet and kind. Hands down my favorite food in Yakima.

Just OK. Punjabi naan was great, tikka masala ok, vegetable dish was full of oil. Food came out fast, but other service was a little slow. We were sweating while we ate and noticed the thermostat behind me said 85. Not sure if the AC was broke or they were creating an authentic Indian experience

Hands down the best food in Yakima. Dont let the word "Buffet" fool you. This is top-notch Indian food and the ladies that run the place are always delightful. I always go for a second plate, even though I know its going to make me sleepy at work for the rest of the day. Yes, its that good!

Great, clean atmosphere. The spices were fantastic and the food went down smooth! The culture in this area seems to try to mold all the restaurants into a watered down americanized version but most of the Indian dishes are still holding their own. Overall, friendly, fast service.

This place is simply the finest restaurant serving Indian food I have experienced. Simply fantastic. Easily tied for first as my favorite place to dine in Yakima. I live in Yakima and the food here is truly high quality. My experience from start to finish has been five star every time.

I have eaten Indian food all over the world, including many parts of India. The freshness of the food, and complexity of the spices was delicious. The lunch buffet is a great value and there are many options to choose from. Everytime I am in Yakima this is a must have.

Food was awesome. Not as spicy as I was led to believe, but I love spicy food, so thats just me probably. Although I had a curry which was a 10 out if 10 in the heat scale, I was offered.to take it to a 20 or 30...i am not sure how that works...overall very good!
