Absolutely no respect for customer with respect to their attitude and customer service. Ordered my order over the phone at 7:42 and in restaurant to check my order at 8:12 as they told me come in fifteen minutes. They could not find my order and no answer till 8:20 and later one of the person at counter was checking my phone did I called the right number. Asked me to wait and waited till 8:55 and everyone says your order is coming and I dont know from where. Walked out without food finally. Thats the status of these guys. There are so many people like me around counter for checking again and again about their orders. Think twice, thrice or more if you are planning to visit or order over the phone these guys. Thanks Shalimar for your zero service and bye bye

Great food, feels like one is in a 4th world country though!! Service is spotty at best, if you are friends with people behind counter you get great treatment from what Ive seen, if not then good luck because people jump the line (scratch that, there are multiple uncoordinated lines so hard to tell whats going on) you could wait a long time just to order or pay, but if they know you, this is not an issue! The biggest challenge for me is that there are So many flies which end up sharing your food (flies really love this place), very dirty and messy place. They have so many customers that they could care less about me/you. Would recommend order to go if you must eat from here.

Horrible, rude, nasty staff. Story time: Went in as soon as this place opened and ordered (15) Kababs. Was told it would take 30-40 minutes. No problem, I come back in an hour and the food isnt ready. Im told there are many other customers ahead of me (???). Wait another 15 minutes for my food to be ready. They give me a small side of Chutney (sauce) and I ask if I could get more since I got a ton of Kebabs. Dude named Altaf points to the cashiers line and says you gotta go pay for it. This place will never get my money again. Tldr: If being treated like dirt and greasy food is your jam, you should eat there for sure.

This is where I go when Im in the mood for tandoori chicken. Its the best Ive had from anywhere! I havent tried much of anything else from their menu, but they are always busy with large crowds. The one thing that discouraged me last week was the cleanliness of the dining room. There was major dust build-up on the air vents, and the tables that were empty were messy. There was also a mess behind the counter. I wish they would put more focus on keeping the restaurant clean. I will continue to eat the tandoori chicken though.

One of the best food I ever have had in Indo/Pakistani restaurant in terms of taste and price. But when it comes to waiting for food and the quality of the restaurant settings, it is one of the worst I have ever seen. I really feel sorry for the staff who works there because they are the ones taking all the heat from the customers for the greedy owner. My question to the owner is why dont you hire extra people for busy day so that people dont have to wait more than 1 hour for food?

I wish I could have 0 or negative * to post. Food is OK but service and attitude is VERY VERY BAD. I was in line and my number came after 20 min. He got irritated as I asked my son. At that point, I realized that I left my wallet in the car. I told them, I want to pay them later or I can get wallet quickly. He told me very rudely that he is not taking my order order and wasted his time. He was showing attitude as if he is giving me free food. I definitely not going there again.

Too greasy and oily food! Ordered the Goat curry and it was 80% bones and 20% meat and doused in oil!! Was a major let down and I had to throw half the dish away as it was all grease!! Customer service is way below par- the man at the check out counter never greeted me or said Thank you! Doesnt hurt to smile a little when you are in a customer service position! Really disappointing first experience and doubt Ill ever go there again!

Service is very very bad. I ordered food at 5.55 pm and they said it will be ready in 30 mins. When I reached there at 6.25 pm it was not ready. I waited till 6.55 pm and it was still not ready. They literally told me if I want food, then I have wait or I can leave without food. Shame for Indian/Pakistani restaurant. They act like they are running restaurant in India/Pakistan. I will never visit this place again in my whole life.

Shalimar use to the place for tasty Pakistani cuisine - soft and fluffy naans and the best chicken tikka masala. Not sure what is going on but the naass are hard as brick now and the food is going down hill fast. I use to go here regularly but after my last visit, I have not gone back for over 9 months now. Try Tandoori & Curry in Fremont has much better food.

going down hill. even if you try to forget the arrogant staff and the poor service, the quality of food is just not there. Had many instance when they gave us stale and cold nans and curries. Everytime i complained they called it my fault, they said i shouldnt take food to go from them. Have to call it quits!

Had the goat then ordered rice. It was not enough so a chicken leg was ordered with bread. Impressions were that there was not enough meat and somewhat pricey. Oddly enough the rice and bread were the best part of the meal. The seasoning on the meat was also special but portions were not generous.

Barebones decor and service is sometimes slower during peak hours but the value for quality tasting North Indian and Pakistani cuisine can not be beat. This place is full of natives seeking out authentic tasting meals. You wont be disappointed. Plenty of vegetarian options as well.

Food is oily but great taste , People who are serving at counter or Table are not trained at all. Plates ,forks and spoons are wet with water, they are out of TEA most the time, we will go there but lots of improvements are needed hopefully they will read reviews and check them

Excellent food execution. No frills and no thrills decor. Those savings are passed to the consumer in larger than par portions for their restaurant segment. Service is friendly. As with any good place like this, peak busy times can overwhelm the service efficiency.

This is really bad place to go. They dont know how to treat customers. We came from Concord an also Im from Srilanka. Im not recommend to any Sri Lankan people to go over there. This is a bad place place to go. They are running behind the money. Not the people.
