While this isnt the best sushi restaurant around, it is one of my favorites and is close to work. The food quality is very good and the service is as well plus you get discounts for being a frequent customer. The fish itself is of good quality but I wish the portions were a bit larger. The box lunches/combos are good as well and many of my friends who arent into nigiri or sashimi are always happy with the teriyaki chicken, beef, or salmon. The salad dressing is out of this world and I even sometimes find myself buying some for home. Another reviewer said the location used to be a french eatery but that must have been a long time ago because in the 7 years Ive worked in Saratoga it was always a Sushi place.

While its not the best sushi around, Kikusushi offers a solid, consistent option, especially for a large group. Most of my extended family orders one of the bento box meals, and those seem quite good in terms of food quality as well as value. I tend to like sushi (ikura - salmon roe, negihama maki, and saba). The sushi isnt the freshest around, but its pretty good. The service can get a little slow at times (especially when were coming with hungry kids!). The decor is a bit run down. Long ago, this location was an upscale French restaurant called Dartanians. Kikusushi took it over a few years ago, but I dont think theyve updated the decor at all since the 90s...

This is a family owned place that has been in the Cupertino area for over 20 years. Their sushi and sashimi is some of the best, and so consistent. If you befriend Elven the sushi chef hell make you custom sushi rolls. mmm. We love this place, this is a weekly stop for my family, even my 5 and 8 year old gobble up the gyoza, edamame and always California rolls with extra tobiko. They get busy, which I love, but they always seem to have a table in front of an aquarium for my kids, they love watching the fish. We love Kikusushi

The service is quite good...fast & friendly. Unfortunately, the food doesnt fare as well. The miso wasnt hot, only warm...the sushi was slightly "above par"...the salad was over-dressed...and the tea was barely warm. Interestingly, the people working arent even Japanese, but Chinese. If you truly want great Japanese food, youre much better off going to Yuki Sushi near Valley Fair, at Winchester & Homestead.

Worst dinner sushi ever. The good: Service was actually fine. The bad: Atmosphere is very Americanized. Sashimi was incredibly small portions. The ugly: The killer thing here is the low quality of the raw fish, e.g. the maguro (tuna) sashimi tasted like it had been soaking in water for days. Save yourself the disappointment, there are loads of far better sushi restaurants in the Bay Area.

Best hidden sushi gem in the South Bay, in my opinion. Total mom-and-pop sushi place, but so so good. Great variety here, and always just-made fresh. Service is attentive, but not awkwardly so. We go often. Easy to get a table, even when other places are booked up, because its a little out of the way. So yummy.

It was my families first time. The people there were so polite and respectful, we had no problems with service. Its definitely another favorite place we would come back to. The food was light and flavorful. You didnt need to add much of any sauce unless you prefer it that way. We will definitely be coming back

I like this restaurant. Sushi rice is better than other Japanese restaurant. Sushi tast good and fish is very fresh in the sashimi boat. This is a Japanese restaurant, but I can order Chinese food "Kung Pao Chicken". Kung Pao Chicken taste very good and much better than other Chinese restaurant.

we held my mothers 70th birthday here back in october and it is a solid japanese restaurant. they were able to accommodate us in a private room and didnt charge us extra or force us to order off a different, more limited menu. service was good and the food was solid all around.

Ive been eating here for years. Always fresh fish, great bar salad, sushi chef has been here as long as I can remember and he is consistently good. Lots of parking, there can be a wait at popular times. Set back off the road so it is a little bit hidden but worth the hunt.

Im all for supporting local businesses but honestly food was just not great. We ordered rolls and the flavor profile was meh but the rice was terrible and mushy. Didnt have the chewy pressure cooked texture and no sushi vinegar. :(

I usually order chirashi when I have Japanese. Last evening was the worse ever. Very thin and small cut. Probably 1 to 2 mm thick and 3cm by 3cm in size. Dont know what the chef/owner was thinking about. I will NOT go back!

California roll does not taste like California roll and does not taste good for the money they charge. RIce was dry and it was hard inside.

Food is terribly made by Chinese folks - its no where near authentic Japanese sushi. We are not coming back nor recommend to anyone else.

The place itself is cozy and quiet, and the food is amazing. Their fish is so soft, I would totally recommend the sashimi!
