I went to this place a couple months ago for happy hour from 3pm - 7pm. Around 6:40pm the bartender said she was told to cutoff happy hour so she could no longer give us our drinks for happy hour price even though we have been sitting at the bar since like 5:30pm. That just says to me that the owners/management is cheap. Once they get the guest in the door they dont care about the rest. A co worker of mine wanted to go eat here yesterday for lunch but l was kind of hesitant because of my prior experience but l went with him. He ordered chili releno or something and l ordered street tacos. My server FROY informed me that street tacos are only served during happy hour. My co worker just ordered street tacos last week for lunch and there was no issue. I try to order it for lunch and l am told it is an happy hour only item. So Im like fine just charge me the full price but l want to order street tacos. FROY says no cant do it. I tell him go ahead and put in my co workers order and l will look at menu again. He takes my co workers order and leaves. He comes back 20 minutes later with my co workers food and ask me "are you ready to order now". I said yes l have been ready for like 19 minutes. Guess what l order? Asada tacos from lunch menu for $9.95. Another 20 minutes pass and he brings me my food after my co worker is pretty much done eating. I asked what took so long and he said he has other tickets in front of me. When he brings me my bill he charges me $3 extra for ordering steak tacos vs beef or chicken but he failed to mention it was going to be $3 more. Needless to say this place sucks. Service sucks, food sucks, and whoever decides to end happy hour early because they are cheap they suck too. Take my advice and dont ever go there.

El Tapatio is my favorite go to Mexican restaurant . The experience starts at the front door with a custom crafted tile archway and walls, Hand painted mural ceiling , hand crafted furniture. Beautiful craftsmanship throughout the restaurant . Next you are greeted by a friendly staff that will lead you to a table or direct you to the bar. Excellent margheritas, chips and salsa . A very nice menu Everything that Ive tried has been excellent .The efficient staff is friendly ,happy ,and fun, with the exception of one bartender who is none of the above. She needs to learn how friendly customer-service and tips go hand-in-hand .

A welcoming place with prompt service and people who love their jobs- Susan the manager just has a magical way if making every one feel "at home". She came to our table to be sure we were happy with the food and service. Truly a home away from home restaurant. The food was fresh and delightful! Options on the menu allow you to to go for non fried versions of tacos which were great! They also offered spicy as opposed to less spicy and bland meats. Ask about options before you order. "Happy Hour" is a great deal and opportunity to try the variations in spiciness and freshness on the menu. Loved it!

This is a solid mexican restaurant. Good food, white cheese queso and salsa. They also have a good selection of authentic mexican dishes. Most servers are great and they are right on top of everything. Today thou we had one of the worst waitresses of all time. She had to ask three times what our appetizer was and we were having.. we were close to saying queso.. peppers and cheese. If this happens to you..suggestion.. get the manager right away. Otherwise than that a good 4 stars.

Sometimes the food is great here and sometimes its not. It seems very obvious that there is more than one Chef back theyre calling the shots. The decor is great and we love going there for the atmosphere. They can get very busy so service can be slow. Its a great place to take the family and its easy to see from the main road. We will keep frequent in this place and hopefully we will one day have more consistent cuisine in order to justify giving it another star.

Our hands-down favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Super delicious food, and hand made tortillas that are the best thing that will ever happen to your mouth. There was a time that I would give them a 5 star rating without hesitation. It seems that their service is slipping. It used to be excellent, and while their food is as good as ever it was, the service is a little worse each time we go. Other than this, no complaints.

Pretty good food here. We ate with 6 people here who all grew up in southern California and know good Mexican food. All the dishes were tasty and well prepared. The main issue was the poor service, long wait times for water, ordering, waiting for food, waiting for the check, etc. No one said thanks for coming either. In the end, is hesitate to go again, but the food was worth it to see if the service problems were a fluke.

Just visited for the first time tonight. This place is fantastic! Had the Molcajete, the meats were cooked to perfection, the cactus was delicious, and the sauce was on point! The staff was very prompt and courteous, and the owner even came by and gave us suggestions on how to prepare leftovers (there is a LOT of food in each serving). My wife and I will DEFINITELY be coming back again soon. Keep up the great work guys!

There has not been a time in the last 8 visits that I did not thoroughly enjoy the food. At times the service is a little slow but the wait is worth it. The Chili Relano is my favorite. Chili pepper is never soft and over cooked, the cheese is top grade. Another favorite is having the guac made at table side, so good and fresh. Desert, you cant go wrong with Fried Ice Cream.

Service was pretty decent, although I did have to ask for utensils. Sparkling water is $2.95, which seems excessive. Generous bowl of free chips. Menu says extra bowls of chips are not free. I asked for hot salsa, which was not hot at all. Food was pretty bland, but I ate it all. It seems to be a pretty popular place. Location, location, location.

El Tapatio has been a popular chain for 20+ years in California, but this was my first time at this location. The food is predictable and thats not a bad thing. Drinks are seriously overpriced but we were celebrating. Two guests - two drinks per + entrées was nearly $100...thats high for a chain. Still, Id never tell friends not to dine here.

This is where El Torito was for decades, and now its beautifully improved inside and the food is GREAT!!! The free chips and salsa come with bean dip, which is an appetizer in itself. (Hint: theres a salsa bar in the bar area, with several types, and they make fresh flour tortillas to order - so tasty with butter, bean dip or salsa!)
