So me and my friend got there a bit late, within the posted hours, but late enough in the day when it would not be unexpected for the staff to be dragging a little, and instead the staff was friendly and even perky to talk with. Throughout the meal our waitress came over and talked with us, not just about food we were eating, but about how the place was family owned and which items are fully made in house vs the items that were bought locally and such. They also joked and laughed with us and our bad jokes. So service gets a gold star. Now the food... Chips are fried fresh on demand and brought out HOT. They have 4 in house made hot sauces to try along with a tasty salsa and a guacamole/salsa Verde mix plus a few of the normal bottled variety. All good. The food itself was great in flavor and mouth feel and every bite tasted fresh. Even the Spanish rice came across as something that was made in small batches so it did not sit around for long if at all. The plating of food even showed how much they care. A drizzle of this to color it up and some avocado over here to add another splash, etc. Not something I am used to seeing a Mexican restaurant. As my friend noted who was having enchiladas, which came as a set of 3 that he orders 2 types of, is that they even made it so that it was his single type was in the middle rather than on one end so that if he wanted he could easily mix flavors. The only thing that I really felt could be better would be with the décor as nothing really stands out, but they do have easy to see TVs in each if the dining areas, which in our case were tuned to soccer so I was happy. Just watch out for the chairs, as they sit lower than you might think. I am honestly looking forward to going back and bringing some more people with me and I do not say that lightly or about many places.

My husband and I ordered delivery through DoorDash. Weve been craving carne asada fries ever since moving here from San Diego (the birthplace of carne asada fries and California burritos) three years ago. Not bad! They werent exactly like what we were accustomed to, but they definitely hit the spot. The carne asada was delicious, and the ingredients were fresh. Good fries too. I paid a few extra bucks for a comically small container of guacamole. The portion sizes of the carne asada fries and horchata were very generous, so I guess it all evens out. Only a handful of Mexican restaurants in Seattle make carne asada fries, so thank you for being one of them! May I make a few suggestions to the owner(s)? (1) Go easy on the cheese. There was so much of it that it melted into the paper lining and cemented all the ingredients together into a solid cheese block. (2) Guacamole is a MUST component of this SoCal-inspired dish. (3) Including some red hot sauce would be a nice touch. Luckily, we have a ton of our own at home. :)

Not many hole in the wall places with excellent but inexpensive food are left in seattles Fremont neighborhood. Taco Tuesdays feature the delicious and generous little tacos for a buck each but normally they are only a buck fifty. The salsa is great (comes free when you order food) and a beer in a can is 2.50. The waitress wont hurry you and she wont put on a pretend friendly face, so be prepared for a real person coming from where she is at (kind of refreshing). The burritos are so huge that Im adraid to try one but Ive seen them pass by on their way to other tables.

A hidden hole in the wall off of Aurora that absolutely exceeded expectations. The Mexican food was fantastic and authentic. Chips come to the table fresh and warm, service is exceptional, and the food was fantastic. I had the mole enchiladas that were fantastic. I also tried the chorizo and carnitas tacos. The meat was wonderful. I think the biggest wow of the night was the tamales. I highly recommend them. To offer delivery through all the major third party delivery services. So happy to find this place.

Im always surprised when I walk in here and dont see this place totally crowded with a line outside. It might be out of the way of the busier streets in the area but this family-run place serves the best Mexican food Ive ever had. I always go for the vegetarian enchiladas filled with cactus. I love how they have a bowl full of authentic Mexican candy at the counter. The service is as great as the food.

The food is delicious hands down the best Mexican food Ive had in Seattle. I personally recommend the nachos which by the way give you a plate full or nachos with cheese , guacamole, pico de gallo & meat of your preference. They have a great selection of beer and Mexican drinks including jarritos. The service was great always made sure we had water or if we needed any help. Love the place, great set up.

One of the few places in Seattle where you can get a real Mexican meal, and for a decent price. Maybe the only one. The burritos are enormous and I always end up taking half home. Staff is really friendly and accommodating for small menu adjustments. A real gem hidden right on the highway!

Would highly recommend this restaurant if youre looking for authentic Mexican food! Our servers have always been so so sweet and the food is absolutely delicious! Ive had the burrito mojado and carne asada street tacos (paired with Mexican Coke, of course) and I have loved it each time!

I love this restaurant, the enchiladas are the best. My whole life I have been trying to find a restaurant where the taste is the same as my mom used to make. This is the closest. Im not sure if my moms enchiladas were authentic, but they were this same great taste.

I have been looking for a place in Seattle with good tortas, let alone Tortas Ahogadas! It was delicious and spicy just how it should be. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, food was amazing, prices were good and the portion size was huge!

Friendly staff. Ordered the Tacos California and they were great. Several salsa options to choose from to dress your tacos too : habanero, verde, chipotle, and another that wasnt labeled. Highly recommended and a great value.

Its good, wish they had parking. Their food is pretty authentic, and the cooks enjoy making stuff up, which I appreciate. They used to have a spicy Mexican pasta that made me happy! And the staff is super friendly.

Authentic flavors and good serving sizes. If I get a chance to go back, I would recommend tacos in all the meat flavors. The lamb barbacoa that was the special for the day had a lot of good lamb flavor.
