We visited at approximately 6:30pm on a Sunday... tl;dr: Clean, modern mexican restaurant with a "candle"-lit wall worth seeing. Food is well prepared, but a bit pricey for what youre getting. When we entered the restaurant we were surprised by two things: 1) The look of the place is great! Dim (not too dim), warm lighting, darker wood, etc. 2) It was nearly empty! We were surprised as we first stopped by Border Cafe and that place had an almost 2 hour wait. We were seated immediately, near the door and across from the bar; satisfactory in every sense. The initial wait time to get drinks ordered was a bit long considering how dead it was but nothing too serious. The waitress did a fantastic job upselling and really making us want to get the guacamole, which was delicious; unfortunately one of the avocados was just on the edge of being ripe so it was a bit chunky but we really enjoyed it. For the main meal I had ordered the Enchiladas Suizas and she had ordered the Mixtos. Both were good, but could use tweaks; for example, the Enchiladas had an AMAZING sauce but the meat was a bit dry and mostly meh. The Mixtos had delicious fixings but the cheese was a bit pointless (congealed after 5 minutes) and the tortillas are only as big as your fist. The oddest part of the meal was dessert, honestly. I only say that because they offer no written dessert menu; the waitress will tell you 4-5 different desserts all back-to-back and then expects you to be able to answer which youd prefer then and there. In any case, we chose a tres leches dessert that was excellent! Cake was perfectly done, nothing was too sweet or too dull. Just right. The bill didnt make me regret the meal but I wouldnt go there again unless there was an occasion. With 2 waters and the plates I listed it came to just about $70 (then tip on top of that).

My boyfriend and I went there for the first time last night and we were unfortunately not very impressed. My rating is mostly for the very nice ambiance and lighting. We were seated immediately but our waiter did not greet us for about 7-8 minutes. Chips and salsa were given. Our waiter took awhile again to come over to give our order, we decided to split three appetizers. While waiting for our meals we asked for more salsa and the waitress forgot, we had to ask someone else who filled water for us. The food came out together but two of dishes were room temperature, if not cold. We tried a chicken roll up type dish and steak tortillas? Unsure of the names. Steak was chewy. We did split the tortilla soup which was surprisingly delicious and filling and the presentation was pretty, too. Seating is a little awkward, we were stuck in between two very loud parties and there isnt much room to slip into the half booth if people are on either side. The staff were friendly enough but sadly we were not impressed and are not planning on going back, which is a shame as we go out to eat often.

I have never had such terrible service in my life. The food was decent, but overpriced for what you got. The rice and beans "for the table" was barely enough for one person. It took us over and hour to get our food, and drinks. The waiter would hardly ever check on us, and the restaurant was not even busy, so there was no excuse. The worst part was once we asked for our check it took over 45 minutes to get the bill, and once we paid the wrong amounts were charged to our cards. I checked my account the next day and found that my card was charged an additional $10 over the total price I signed for. Probably a tip the awful waiter thought he deserved. Dont go here if you want to be treated like a human.

Everyone was really friendly & it was a nice atmosphere. When we came in the guy in front of us at the hostess station was giving the girl such a hard time because of the wait for a table. He was extremely rude & raising his voice being a bully. The hostess was visibly uncomfortable but handled it like a champ! We were told a 2 hour wait for a table for 6 which was expected on a Saturday night at the mall. So we found a spot at the bar while waiting for our party. We had a blast! Tequila flights, Coronas, chips & salsa, guacamole, & a plantain appetizer. Delish! The 2 bartenders were great and engaging. The only thing Id ask for is a traditional margarita.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, loved the tea lights against the back wall. The menu is not for the picky. Its pretty limited, without many diverse options...which is a little unusual for a Mexican restaurant. And...the price! Really pricey for a restaurant inside a mall. I know theyre going for an upscale feel, but it didnt really feel like that kind of experience. They do offer complimentary chips and salsa, bananas and avocado (for kids), and churros...which were nice touches. The bar seemed pretty crowded and when we arrived they asked if we had reservations- which was confusing considering it wasnt packed and we were seated immediately.

The place itself is really nice although the bar is kinda small. The problem I had here was service from the bartender. He was very standoffish and we did not feel comfortable at all. My girlfriend ordered one of there higher end tequilas and for some reason the busboy grabbed it off the bar, when we asked the bartender his response was well where is it?? I couldnt believe it , like you think she put it in her purse? Really?? They need to train their staff to be able to respond better to customer concerns. Spoilt my experience completely.

Went here because we were looking for some good Mexican food and good Margaritas. Deeply disappointed!! Our waitress was nice and service was ok but the portions were way too small for the price and the quality of the food. I got the Enchiladas Mixtos and the sauce lacked alot of flavor. My husband got the Mixtos tacos and the tortillas were so tiny. Theyre idea seems to be to fill people up with the chips and the tortillas because theyre was minimal filling. Wouldnt recommend to anyone.

Service started off okay. Food was okay but rather bland. The salsa is fresh, but when i asked for something with a little more slide, they brought a little bowl of something out of a bottle that tasted awful. The enchiladas are filling but generally lacking in much flavor. The servers proceeded to clear the table and 20+ minutes of watching them run around while still waiting for the check. Since apparently they couldnt find my bill, the meal was free.

Worst service I have ever experienced. My party of 3 was supposed to have a table for 815, did not get seated until 915, our waitress was no where to be found for most of the night. Once we finally got food it was very bland and lacking all flavor. Then to top it all off we were told we were getting two free desserts for the inconvenience and instead they sent us home with the scraps of food left over from our meal. Will absolutely not be returning.

Been here twice already and it was amazing both times! The service is friendly and attentive. The whole ambience in the restaurant (mood lighting, wall decor, music etc) is just in point. Now the food, this was perhaps the best part. The guacamole is a must try. The salmon dish with plantains was simple and just delicious. You must try it! Lots of parking outside so no worries there. The price is a little on the higher side but worth it.
