Its a really friendly place, as soon you walk in you take in the rich atmosphere right away. The owner has that delightful British accent so its always fun when he comes around asking how youre doing. You sit yourself when you come in and sit anywhere you want. I had the curry soup which was delicious. The staff is pretty fast and efficient taking away empty plates and providing refills quickly. Granted I went on a lazy Sunday so it wasnt packed. Surprisingly they were showing american football on the tv instead of the whacky version of English football where they kick the round white ball with their feet. I had the fish n chips. The pieces were huge. Had I known they were so big with my level of appetite I wouldve ordered the option with only one piece. My date got the beef and mushroom pie and that was delicious, I wish Id ordered that , not that there was anything wrong with mine. It was good, but next time Id definitely had what she had. For dessert we had the toffee pudding cake with ice cream... And oh my god was that delicious. I would honestly come just for that for dessert. Fantastic. I recommend this place. Apparently they have live music. Dont know if its good or not. Over all great experience. So for two meals, two sodas, and that delicious dessert it came out to around $ 20 per person that wasnt too bad in my opinion.

Service: Excellent. Our server was super polite and friendly. We couldnt ask for better. Truly. Food: Good to very good. The Fish and Chips is really good. Bridies and Chips was solid, but nothing to write home about. I first ordered the Roast Beef but I had to send it back. It tasted very game-y. The mashed potatoes and peas were okay. Decent. Ambiance: Its a dark bar. If you are planning to drink and have a good time with your friends. Warning, the food is really heavy. You may not finish your plate of food. Rating: If I could I want to give Buchanan Restaurant and Pub 3.5 stars.

Stopped in while traveling. This place has a wonderful laid back vibe, friendly owners, and great food. Having traveled a bit, it reminds me of the pubs in England minus the accents and exchange rates. Old Speckled Hen on tap?! Fantastic! They have it all, Boddingtons, Smithwicks, Fullers, etc. Stop by for some bangers n mash or fish n chips with a Guinness and you wont be disappointed.

We (coworkers and i) were introduced to this place by our dearest friend. Truly worth it your time and experience! The Englishman combo plate was delicious as well as the dutchman combo plate :-D their cod is truly deliciois. We all had an enjoyful time there!

Friendly service. Big portions. Lots of interesting things to try. Come hungry and take home a box of everything you couldnt finish. Good live singer. Breakfast served only 10AM - 12 Noon on Sat and Sun. Adjacent shop open until 8 PM I believe.

Outstanding. This place has a long time customer in me. Loved their beer selection and food. Its nice and cozy inside with just the right light brightness to enjoy your time with your significant other. Definitely going back again and again.

Came for one of the open mic nights on Wednesday and was wowed by the great food and friendly people. They also have some cool live bands on Saturday nights. I will definitely be back!
