If only a couple of things hadnt been so bad, this place could have potentially received at least three stars from me. But here is why I am generously giving it one: Layout: You would figure that in such a small place, placing an order would not be so difficult, but it is. A hand drawn signals Order Here, however the problem is that it is written on a black background wall and the place is quite dark. Suggestion: Proceed forward to where the register is at - order there. So, after placing my order, I check-in and sit at a booth. Meanwhile a steady stream of people come in order and leave, some leave the counter with a plastic cup of beer. I see the server pouring small cups of beer to a bunch of guys who were eating at the counter. Curious, I look at the counter and notice a sign next to the beer taps that says - "Get free beer, ask me how." Naturally, I inquire how to get free beer. The server tells me that all I have to do is give them a good review on this site. Huh!? I thought. That doesnt sound right. Checkin perhaps, but not for an instant good review. So, after 20 minutes of having placed my order, my burger is brought out. Eek! That was a long time especially since I was the only order to dispatch. Lastly, the womens restroom was quite disgusting. So, overall not a good experience.

Im so glad I got to try this place! I came here for dinner with some friends, and I like how it is located in a convenient location. If you come at the right time, there is street parking available. You come in and order at the counter. They give you a number and you pick a seat. After, they will bring out the food to you. Everything about this place was great. From the decor, to the service, down to the food. For a premium burger place, their service was top notch. Food came out almost immediately. I got the Smoky Western Burger and the Pastrami Chili Cheese Tots. My friend ordered the Carne Asada Tots, which I got to try as well. Let me just say that I have never had Tots this good. Carne Asada Tots was definitely my favorite out of the two, but the Pastrami Chili Cheese Tots were really good as well. They actually give you a decent amount of Pastrami on top. The Smokey Western Burger killed it too. It was really flavorful. Get it medium rare! Overall, I enjoyed my meal here. I didnt get a chance to try their beers, but I would definitely come back here even if its to grab a quick drink with some friends.

The Black Sheep is an awesome restaurant in a pretty unsuspecting place. This is a definitely a must-visit place when you have late-night cravings downtown. I came here with some friends after going drinking in the area. They have several craft beers on tap. The selection is quite unique and changes often. I tried their blueberry beer and it was deliciously refreshing. They also had a very good pear cider on tap too. All of their burgers are great. The patty is juicy and cooked perfectly. My favorite parts are the sides. I especially loved the truffle oil cheesy tater tots. The service is great and the food comes out quickly even when theyre busy. You can also ask to sample their beer before ordering.

I think this place is good enough to try at least once I was looking forward to trying this place and finally got the chance. I wasnt 100% about it when I actually arrived. Its literally located right next door to Coles. I never knew that was the location. Its more of a fancy burger fast food place, that offers wine, beer, soju and sake. You pay first before getting drinks and food. Prices are ok $8 for the black sheep burger. $4 for a glass of wine. *i ordered the black sheep burger. I recommend not getting this if you plan on kissing anyone later that day hahaha The aioli sauce is cray. The bun was a dark color and tasted a bit sweet. Good burger but Ive had better. Very nice bartenders and servers.

So this place is basically right next skid row. But it doesnt matter, cause the food is amazing! We go the black sheep burger and carne asada tots. The black sheep burger was a little soggy and the bottom bun broke apart while I was trying to eat it. The burger is just average, I didnt really see anything good about it. The carne asada tots on the other hand were like crack! The tots were crispy and the meat and sauce was outstanding. For dessert I recommend you try the lychee plum wine ice cream for 3 dollars. You get 3 scoops and the lychee flavor was very evident. The black sheep burger was $8 and the carne asada tots were $7! Park around 6th street!

Short and sweet Dont have to bring your pen and paper because the menu is specializes in a few amazing items. Keeping it quality over quantity. You know a place is good when they ask you how you want your burger cooked, if you say anything outside of "medium rare"...we cant be friends. Fatty. This is why Im fat. Yeah thats me. Always ordering the entire menu just incase I never come back. I ordered the tots, fries, brats, hamburgers all at once AND beer!! Theres got to be a better way to do this. I got it, I need more stomachs. Who wants to donate their stomach to me. Ill trade you my brain, I hardly use it anyways.

Its not often that you can say a place has a "fun" menu, but thats the best way to describe it! Its fusion in the best way, both creative AND delicious. Tater tots with carne asana ingredients tossed on top? Yes please! They also have an epic tap list and most beers are only $6. The vibe is inviting, and unpretentious. Brick walls, black furniture and booths with 3 sided seating make for a cozy and communal atmosphere, especially when youre out with a group of friends. Im docking 1 star because of the incessant top 40. When Im consuming burgers n beer, I want me some rock n roll.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. I got the black sheep burger and it was incredible. I also got the carne asada tots which were good too. My friend got the garlic fries and we really enjoyed those. The service was quick but the place was very small and a little hard to find. You have to go down some steps to see the entrance. The price was very fair and I really recommend going here if you want a good burger downtown LA.

This is a cute/trendy gastropub right in between Coles and Mignon. Its really hard to find, there really isnt a sign. Beers are decently price with seasonal taps from 7-8 dollars for 12-16oz. Tots are delicious. BUT SERIOUSLY TRY THE THAI CHICKEN. HUGE CHICKEN cooked to perfection and CRUNCHY AS HELL! yum yum TL:DR GET THE THAI CHICKEN BURGER

This place is kinds of hard to spot, if you see Coles its right next door. The burgers are great! Its a pretty small place so, if theres a line and youre not by yourself grab a seat before you order. The carne asada tater tots are pretty yummy. I think the portion is on the smaller side for the price though. Id go back and have a burger!
