Seems like every time I come here I never remember why or how and I always end up here as a "we got kicked out of the last 3 bars, lets go to the Dubliner" sort of end up place. Tiny patio, crowds all around the bar and dance area, less so on the outside tables to the left as you walk in and around back, but the crowd went from College kids pubbing, 20 somethings who didnt go to college. Decent bar tenders and I say decent because they arent busy enough to not care about the customers banter, but still ignore you. 10 minutes for 2 Bluemoons and 2 Newcastles. Not a lot of people having more fun than at our first few spots we go to beforehand. Taxi pull up right out front and their tends to be a lot of fights due to the crowded smoking area out front. Come on a non late night Saturday. Preferably when a band is playing and pub, not club when youre here people.

Ive been in the area several times in the past, always wanted to try this place and never made it. I was looking forward to a decent meal, this was not it. I ordered the Corned Beef and Cabbage, really truly very disappointed, food was cold and ALL the vegetables were undercooked, I like my vegetables firm but not nearly raw. Corn beef was very tuff, almost like the lowest grade of beef you can find. Very disappointed. Not sure if they allow smoking outside along the sidewalk seating area but you could smell it throughout the restaurant as if people were smoking inside, not something Im used to in California. Beer selection is good. I might return but dont think I would order any food again, could be a good place to sit with friends for beer and conversations.

A great Irish bar off Pine St in Long Beach, this place has a good vibe and some AWESOME customer service. I came here for a Happy Hour with a large group (10+) on a Thursday night, and the staff were more than accommodating in pushing 2 large tables together for us! The waitress that we had was super nice and took our orders with a nice smile. :) We ended up ordering lots of alcohol - Guinness beer, Irish car bombs, whiskey, old fashioneds, - you name it, we ordered it. Of course, we also ordered your traditional pub and Irish food - tater tots, corned beef, cabbage, sausage, Shepherds pie, etc. Everyone got a little buzzed and we all ended up having a GRAND time. Oh, and it was pretty crowded and they even had live music. I would definitely come back again!

Not bad. It was ok at best. Smelled as stale as any other greasy dive bar. Many people trying way to hard to be noticed. I had to put my ipod on to drown them out. I just couldnt enjoy my drink with these buffoons yelling and screaming over each other. Over priced beers but the deco was nice. The bartender that served me was pretty rude. I guess he had many other drunks to attend to so he was overly curt. When I walked out the bartender was shouting at me about the bill. I pointed right under his nose and, voila, there it was. I guess its hard to see in the dark after a few shots. Glad I didnt tip.

I dont often review but had to say a word or two on this place. Me & my buddy were at a fishing show in the Ling Beach Convention Center. We visited this pub twice for lunch & a late dinner. My god the food was amazing on both occasions. The fish & Chips is probably one of the best I have had in a very long time. Staff were extremely professional. Overall experience here was top marks. I do manage an Irish bar in SF and if we had a kitchen I would be stealling Auld Dubliners chef. Yes who ever they are their that good. PS Bartenders from Bungrana & Cork were Brilliant.

This is a legitimate Irish pub bar. They have over 20 beers on tap including Irish staples Guinness and Magners, as well as over 30 bottled beers. If you want it, they most likely have it. The décor definitely has an Irish pub feel to it and the Irish music overhead is spot on. If I wasn’t surrounded by the smiling, happy folk of Long Beach, I would think I was transported to Ireland. I haven’t tried any of their food but I will be back to sample some of that. With friendly service and a great atmosphere, you can’t go wrong with this pub!

I couldnt say if this bar looks, smells or feels like a genuine Irish pub, but after three visits in as many days Id say it represents a fitting tribute to the Auld Sod....the walls are decorated with more no-kidding Irish memorabilia than you could shake a shillelagh at, plus the live bands tend to be loud and incomprehensible, but lots of raucous fun. Two surprises: (1) Much better food than I expected; I recommend the genuine Irish breakfast, if you have time. (2) Small batch bourbon? In an Irish-themed pub? Color me shocked.

I love coming here, more than going to any other bar or pub. Whether its their truffle oil tator tots, a cold glass of Guinness, deliciously mixed cocktails, awesome Shepards pie, traditional Irish breakfasts, boxties!, the nicest barhands, etc. The list can go on forever!, this place will beat evewhere!! Seriously, they are wonderful. My first time here, they made me a custom cocktail that was catered to my fancies. Now, I order that (among other things) whenever I go, and its perfect every time.

Loved this place! Awesome service our glasses were never empty, Our party of 6 left drink choices up to the waitress and she did not disappoint. Band was great! Best part about this place, is that its too rough and tumble for the chin stroking hipster and boozhee crowds to spend more than 10 minutes inside. Leaving real people to have real fun!

Great place to visit if youre in the downtown Long Beach area, especially late afternoon on Thursdays - fantastic Happy Hour deals on many authentic Irish dishes and drink accompanied by live Irish music from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The staff is friendly and efficient, doing their best to make the pub a veritable Irish pub experience.

I recently visited with some friends on a Saturday night. There was a great live band playing a mix of traditional Irish music and covers of more modern songs. Beers are decently priced and a fairly good selection to boot. I also ordered takeout a while back and the food was good. Check it out!

Probably the best oysters on the shell weve ever eaten! We had to ask for horseradish and were very glad we did, it was very fresh and HOT!! We also shared a smoked salmon sandwich, unusual and delicious! Fun place, we left just as it was starting to hop, dang it!!

Good bar & atmosphere, good beer selection, love the live music. The staff is not always friendly. And the last 2 times Ive been there, there was an unpleasant smell near the bar. Didnt used to be like that. Just hang out on the patio or other side of the bar.

Amazing food, very very very friendly staff. I love doner and this just hit the spot. I got the Istanbul sandwich with half chicken and half beef and it was great. The bread is very fresh, I asked then to scope out the middle which I think made it a lot better.
