The Siamese Cat has been filling my immense craving for high quality thai food for over 10 years. I still visit them on an almost weekly basis, and am always greeted by the most gracious family who have a great knack for making their customers feel at home. So, while I usually get take out, eating in is a joy because youre always made to feel so special. As for the food, I love the green and panang curries and of course the pad thai which is always good. The thing I like the most is how the cook will always add the desired heat level because sometimes I only like a medium, and other times I crave the thai hot. My other great favorite is number 31, which is green peppers, mint and your choice of meat. What was highly recommended to me when I first came to the Siamese Cat was the wonderful mango w/sticky rice -- which is a dessert to die for!! When mangos arent in season, I will get the custard with coconut cream, which I highly recommend!! But when mangos are in season or available even in the off season, I may get a phone call just to let me know, which I really appreciate! If youre looking for a quick & easy and moderate-low priced high quality thai food, you just cant beat the Siamese cat -- take it from a seasoned thai food freak whos eaten at the best thai restaurants in the valley and S.F. and L.A. You cant beat them! ;->)

All the Thai restaurants in the area have their fans and they say "best in the area". I flew into town and did my own evaluation for a few places. This was my favorite of the bunch. This is a plain and simple restaurant, nothing fancy. The owner was readily available and was interesting to talk to. Also lots of decades long locals come here to eat and with a little prodding they will share their favorite menu items. I love places like this. I crave smoldering hot Thai food. I am not a curry guy, but I love those little red Thai peppers. On trips to Bangkok the wait staff would snicker in the corner as I sweated bullets eating the food. In a place like Phoenix I expected to find the hottest Thai food in the US. So I was surprised to find that all I tried are pretty tame, American versions of the real thing. This place was too. That said, this place had delightful, subtle and flavorful food. I loved it. Price was nice. Location was easy to get to. My favorite Phoenix Thai place. I will be back.

This is the BEST Thai food I have ate by far! The owners are a local couple originally from Thailand and are the friendliest you will ever find anywhere. They make me feel so welcome and the service is outstanding. Their food is tastefully Delish. yum :) Im getting hungry just thinking about it. They play calming Thai music in the background with candle lit tables. They use linen table cloths and napkins and not cheap plasticware/paper napkins that fall apart. They make sure the atmosphere is a nice enjoyable dinner for you and your guests. They are nestled in a quiet corner on the NW side of 101/Baseline. They are not able to do much advertising so they depend on Great reviews and word of mouth. Dont keep it a secret...get the word out that the Siamese Cat is the Best in the valley for both food and service. Always remember the best compliment is a referral.

Love this place. I never thought I would eat Thai food till I was introduced to this lovely and authentic establishment. I was introduced to this place by my mentor and she has been coming here for over 2- years, I have now been attending this restaurant for 4 years and I have yet to go anywhere else for Thai food. :-) if you are ever in Tempe,AZ I would highly recommend this place. Plus this is a family restaurant and they are very kind and hard working. If you ever have a problem with your dish just ask them to fix it and they will gladly do so (I have yet to encounter this situation, but I know for a fact that they will). Customer service is a 10 out of 5 for me every time I go. :) NOTHING BUT A HAPPY CUSTOMER HERE! I <3 SIAMESE CAT OF TEMPE, AZ!

Love this restaurant, been going there since 1991. I was 7 years old. Loved the flaming Cornish hens they use to have, flaming chicken is still great. I was a kid so i got the least spicy items, tom ka gai, ginger fish, great fried rice dish, flaming chicken. As an adult i brought my wife back to this place, the owners remembered me after 4 years away and gave us a series of wonderful curry dishes before we moved away out of state. I really miss this place and I am more than happy it is still open. Try it! My dad used to order it "hot As possible." With the spice tray....from the other side of the table my eyes watered...I dare you to (c)try it.

This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in the Phoenix area. I have been going to this restaurant for years and I have never had any bad food at this restaurant. I love the owners, they are super friendly and accommodating. The location of the restaurant is not the best. I feel like the location kind of keeps the restaurant a secret, which is great in a way for patrons like me who want to come in for a quiet dinner, but I would love to see more business for this restaurant as the food is amazing and the family that owns the restaurant is very hardworking and dedicated to providing a wonderful dining experience.

The Siamese Cat is a hidden gem--if this place werent incredible there is no possible way it could have survived all these years in the obscure, back corner of a commercial space that most prominently houses a Department of Economic Security branch. Meanwhile the much better restaurant space across the parking lot has seen half a dozen or so restaurants come and quickly go in the past eight or nine years. Amazing Thai iced tea, delicious pau pia spring rolls, and fantastic curries. I cant recommend it enough, and its my number one go-to for a low-key but delicious date spot!

The best Thai place Ive ever been to in the United States. Ive been coming to the Cat for 20+ years and for these same 20 years traveled the states extensively and every city Ive ever visited strive to eat at a Thai restaurant to compare and see if I could find a new Thai hi. To date the Cat is the best!!! Come say hi to "O", the owner of rhe Cat, and experience the best Thai food in the states. My personal favorites are the Yum Yai, Larb Guy, Penang, and for dessert the Sticky Rice and Mango. Tell "O" Kevin sent you. :)

My Favorite Restaurant! This little family run restaurant has long been my favorite place to eat in all of Phoenix. The service is great, the prices are low, and the food is fantastic. Ive worked my way through most of the menu with no dissapointments, but the curry noodles, spring rolls, and home-made coconut ice cream are particular favorites. Whether you like Thai food or are trying it for the first time, Siamese Cat is the place to go.
