If your taste buds work do yourself a favor ....DONT EAT HERE!!!! The food...if you want to call it that, was not only disgusting but visually unappealing. I ordered a chilli hot dog that arrived at the table looking like a pile of dogs%$t. Kidney beans in hot dog chilli???? What can did that come out of? My youngest ordered scrambled eggs that to my amazement werent scrambled. Her pancake was dry and tasteless. My oldest ordered a cheeseburger that not only she didnt finish but made her sick. My wifes coffee was watery, her western omelet was dry and flat. We wouldve much rather ate cardboard with a little salt. To the cook.....do us a favor...get out of the kitchen and please dont ever cook again! Thank you Wethersfield Dinner for the worst meal ever, Im a paying customer...not an inmate in prison....up your game.

Decent food, mostly comfort food. We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant, so we got a very dedicated waitress. I tried the Loco Moco, (see pictures) which wasnt bad at all. Very colorful, very beefy. A little over salted for my tastes but I dont salt my food much. The meat lovers omlette was very generously proportioned. Id rate the food by itself about 4 stars, mostly due to the portioning and the creative specials. What really stood out for me that brought it to five stars was the very helpful waitress. My wife had a problem with a swollen ring finger, so the waitress offered a cold compress. She offered to help as much as possible, very prompt on the coffee and water. Altogether, if you support local non branch businesses, this one is decent for the price. Loco Moco - 9.99 Meat lovers - 12.99

Under the original owners this place was great. It was a bit of a dive, but it had character. Now, this place is horrible. Ive tried the food and its mediocre. The coffee is HORRIBLE. The service, also horrible. I went in once and had breakfast. I didnt love it but attributed it to the place being brand new. As a result I decided to go back a second time. I went in alone, was seated, given a menu, and never spoken to again. Eventually I just got up and walked out. I told the team of the at the register what happened and they couldnt care less. My comments fell of deaf ears. Will not be going back and I do not recommend this place. Go to NY Pickle Deli in Rocky Hill or Kens in Glastonbury instead.

The owner is very friendly, I really like the waitresses (theres not a whole lot of turnover - they stick around). Breakfast is a great bet as are the soups. The burgers are obviously frozen and not a first choice. Also, Nick used to use real roasted turkey in the sandwiches but changed to the processed turkey about a year ago. Still, this is my kids first choice and, while there is another diner with better food, the combination of the authentic diner fixtures and the staff, I agree.

Love this place. Quaint old diner feel, friendly staff. What I really like is how out of place it seems with all the development around it. Its really characteristic of a better time when the pace of life was slower and more thoughtful. The smashed potatoes is my new favorite food (mashed potatoes that have been seasoned and grilled to perfection)! You have to have them.

Standard, clean, and tasty diner fare. Very reasonable prices (~$5 for breakfast special before 10am on weekdays) and the whole meal took less than 20 minutes. I had the Wethersfield Omelette (onions, red peppers, swiss cheese, chives + bacon) and it was great. If youre looking for a diner in the area, seems hard to beat.

We stopped here the other day for breakfast after finding IHOP and Dennys with long waits on a Saturday morning. The food was tasty and fast, although not a great bargin, and the service was so so. Still, for a real diner with all the 1950s features, this place is a great stop!

Delicious food, great atmosphere, comfortable booths, and run by great people. The smashed potatoes were so good, not to mention all the great Polish food! Pierogi! Keilbasa! Definitely somewhere I plan to bring anyone who comes to town to visit. Great job on the refurb!

Wasnt a fan of the old Wethersfield diner and Im not a fan of the new one. Food was lukewarm and not the great for the prices. Wouldnt even think of coming back.
