We decided to try this restaurant after our fist choice was way too packed. When we arrived we were quickly seated and presented with very clean and easy to read menus. The food was just a little pricy but wow, was it great! I ordered the spaghetti and my waiter allowed me to choose both sausage and meatballs for my spaghetti. The meatballs had flavor and they were homemade. My husband ordered the New York pizza and it was made right in front of us in a brick oven I believe. This pizza was amazing. We were checked on about every 5 minutes. Even the owner checked on us. They all enjoyed our company and were so friendly. The place is a little hidden and not very busy. To put the icing on the cake as we signed our check the owner placed a small white to go box on the table and said "some dessert for on the road!" This was so nice and the connolies that he sent with us are worth trying......in all, this place blew my mind. That is the only reason I ever write reviews; i either love the place or hate it. This was by far one of the best restaurants I have ever ate in.

Went here last week. What a fabulous place ! Start with fresh, house made bread and dipping oil. Juan was our waiter and very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. He made some great suggestions. The food is out of this world...... I had the Sacchetti con 4 formaggio e pere, which means little pasta sacks, filled with ricotta cheese, pears topped with brown butter, sage and balsamic aged glaze. YUMMY ! I have never seen this dish before. My friend had the Calamari Eggplant Parmesan. Lovely calamari steak surrounded with eggplant topped with sauce and cheese. I have never seen this either. Wow and lots of food. We ended with tiramisu , which was homemade and super good. We had some Cabernet with dinner and lemon cello to end. We ate on the patio, which was perfect. Nice vibe, plenty of parking, full bar area. They do lunch, which Ill try. They told us the place has been here 20 years and it shows with the awesome restaurant. Must try !

My husband and I went last night just to have a pizza and a salad. Well, we also ordered the antipasta and it out of this world!!!! It was packed with wonderful cured meats and cheeses plus a ton of fresh vegetables with the best homemade dressing. We got about a quarter of the way through and realized if we continued to eat that we would have no room for the pizza so Danielle, our server, boxed it up and kept it in their cooler until we were ready to leave. I suggested to my husband that next time we would get just antipasta and bread and he said no way am I going to forego their pizza. He is right; their pizza rivals Philadelphia pizza and thats sayin something! I have to admit that even after all that food we did split the chocolate cake which is well worth the calories. Danielle was friendly, funny and attentive without being intrusive and Juan is excellent as well. Our favorite Italian restaurant.

On the South side of the Scottsdale airport is this great Italian Bistro. They told us its been here 21 years and I see why. We sat on the patio... really cute with lights. Need reservations. You get fresh made, warm bread with oil/herbed sauce to dip. Super good. We got the brochette with brie, dates and arugula. Nice ! I got the Calamari Eggplant Parmesan. Ive never had anything like this. Nice calamari steak, super tender with the eggplant and sauce nicely proportioned. All I can say is WOW. Husband got House Made spinach pasta with bolonease sauce. Yummy We tried the Home Made cheesecake, which is super tasty and real Italian. Nice wine selection, full bar, upbeat, enjoyable atmosphere. Good service and nice size portions. This will be our go to spot for Italian. They serve lunch too.

Service was okay. Asked for the market price for veal and was told $18.90 but the bill showed $20.90. I was told it went up but they took off the $2.00. When we got or dinner I asked why we only got one garlic bread. Waitress told me my dinner didnt come with garlic bread. The chef brought me one and said it did come with dinner and it was his mistake, The salad plate was warm. My vegetables were lukewarm. My wife was suppose to get 2 chicken breasts. They were flat like they cut one breast in half and and they were dry. I asked for linguini instead of spaghetti and offered to pay extra and was told "we dont do that", I have no desire to ever go there again.

Food was good except the garlic bread could have been cooked a bit more and great selection of wines. We went there on a Saturday night and the restaurant was very short staffed....Id give the wait staff 4 stars since they were working hard and tried to keep up with the volume of customers. We sat at the bar and the bartender was absent most of the time because he was on the floor tending to the tables. Id rate this establishment a 3 1/2 (not an option) due to the poor service. Otherwise, like I said, good food. We will go back and give it another try. If the same service issues exist, we will find another Italian place to frequent. Thanks!

Food was ok... service was no good. It was our first time there. We asked the server what she recommended and we ordered it. When our food came out, it was the wrong one. We brought it to the waitress attention, she blamed the kitchen and then manager came out and asked if we were ok with it or if we wanted a new one; we said it was fine...given the fact that the rest of the food was already there and would have gotten cold. Neither one of them offered to comp the wrong meal or offer a free dessert... they acted as nothing and to make it worse, the waitress did not even apologize. Oh well, I guess we will not be back!

Pizza is iincredible. Its a fantastic New York style pie. The sauce is brilliant , cheese tasty and the crust is to die for perfect! Served by the slice for lunch and also whole pies. Happy hour for lunch wine , beer . Full bar and patio. 5.00 Lunch Specials , which is new . Check out chef specials ... They rock. Must try bistro burger sautéed in red wine with onions, mushrooms on fresh made brioche bun. Awesome fries Italian style with Parma and herbs. On south side of airport. This is a wonderful Italian restaurant ! The menu is large and has all varieties of Italian fare. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the pizza, which was fantastic, fettucini alfredo and chicken parmesan . All superb and really great service. Good wine/beer menu and full bar. Prices are very reasonable. Large portions and freshly made. Casual, which I love and locally owned. They have been in business for a long time, our server told us, and you can tell. Very professional. Love the patio area too. This is our go to spot from now on .

My wife and I have been loyal customers for years. We bring all of our out-of-town clients and friends here for dinner. One client, from New York, says the cannoli are the best he has ever tasted. The manager/head waiter, John, is just masterful in the way he goes through the menu and explains how the specials are prepared -- and why they are truly "special." This is a local Italian-family owned neighborhood restaurant, and a Scottsdale treasure.
