So reading over the reviews before I went, I noticed all the bad ones were from years ago. Noticed the one about the guy ordering the lunch special off the website and showed up to find that there was a different rate if you werent dining in. I took a look at the website and found everything to be clearly marked to indicate as such, and even found it to be the same with the menus at the physical location. So it appears in that instance the problem wasnt the restaurant but the ability of the individual to read the fine print, which actually wasnt "fine" but in the same font as all the other writing. The only other really negative review was an individual who didnt like the fact the TV wasnt on his particular brand of brainwashing. And judging from how he wrote the review the problem wasnt the food. The problem seemed to be him and his inability to tolerate others political beliefs. When I went into the location I couldnt even hear the TV. So since nothing in any of the negative reviews was about the food, I decided to try it out to give it a fair shake. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. Now it must be clear at the outset that this is not a place that is fine dining as it were. It is a simple neighborhood eatery, so it is unrealistic to think it is going to be an authentic taste of Italy. That being said when the food came out I was surprised at the size of the portions. I am a pretty big guy and it was enough to fill me up. I almost didnt finish it all. The food itself was very good. I did not have any dessert, so I cannot speak to that. The atmosphere of the place was good as well. It wasnt loud and it had the right atmosphere for a family night out or a date night. Altogether I was pleased with the experience. My waitress was polite and attentive, and the food was served rather quickly. While it may not be "fine dining" it definitely serves as a good place to go for good food at reasonable rates, with a nice atmosphere. You dont leave hungry, and you enjoy your meal while having money still left in your wallet. Cant ask for much more than that.

Note: this 2☆ post sadly was edited from prior 5☆ post: We Loooove...(D) Red Devil!!! The food is (was) the best & staff is (Always)wonderful too! Very kind, they are...♡ 7/24/16 - The concern is, not having consistency in their product preparation, "PIZZA"... We just moved here to Az in March to discover this 1960 established family owned Italian restaurant...Red Devil... Today, once again we decided on there ultimate/ supreme pizza, the one with all toppings, plus we personally like to add artichoke hearts...We noticed our visit the time before our pizza was a tad soggy in the center & light on the sauce...compared to our very first "Perfect Pie" experience the time before...still tasty though... So, anyway this time we decided to ask for a little more sauce & perhaps, it be in the oven, maybe a minute or two more... Well, if you can believe it...it came out extra burnt, hard ( crack your teeth hard), dry & super light toppings, which were randomly fixed on one half of the pizza...No love, sloppy...remember, those added artichoke hearts? We ended up with literly two skinned pieces throughout the whole large pizza, we think so or maybe it wasnt... Im aware we all have bad days, but dont take it out on our pizza...geez!! Very upsetting lunch for my husband & myself... With not much of a complaint, it was obvious, we just wanted to leave... They very kindly gave a percentage off the bill plus of course no charge for the missing artichoke topping...We did leave the whole half of the pie...No Love Pizza, Pizza No Love Us, No More, No More, No More...lol! Guess, we will have to seek out a new place...Bummer!!!

Absolutely terrible. And I havent even received my food yet, but its been so bad that I need to leave a 1 star before I go crazy. We were told a ten to fifteen minute wait. It was 40 minutes. Waiting was in the bar with super loud, rude, obnoxious people. After 35 minutes, the hostess sat another group who came in after us. Did I mention I was with my mother and 4 month old baby? When we were finally sat, the waitress was nice but SLLLOOWWWW. We put in orders for waters and 2 beers. They came out in about 15 minutes. While we were waiting for drinks and food, we saw another party get up and leave. The clueless manager shook her head and said, "why would anyone leave?". If you had bothered to stop at our table and talk to us (even though you talked to the tables around us?), you would have known. My wife ordered some fried mushrooms and zucchini. Below average to pretty bad. Her salad was eh. We got a standard pizza, and it was bad. Soggy in the middle, too dry on the crust. The sauce was mediocre and the sausage was pretty gross. It was just a bad overall experience. Do NOT go here.

I used to go to Red Devil from 1966 up til 1978 when I moved away. When I retired back here in 2005 I began to go again. The food is not as good. Lately we went there, 3 of us friends from the old days. None of us liked the lunch. My pizza wasnt good, wifes dish was a turnoff and our friend was wrinkling up her nose. So we arent going back. So I wrote them an email about it and never got an answer. I then wrote them a nasty email and told him I didnt appreciate getting a rant on politics via the Faux News Channel he had on in the bar on BOTH TV sets, which we could hear at the table. I would think a bar ought to have sports channels on. Who needs controversial junk peppered on his dinner? Its obvious the owner is a political radical because he/she didnt answer that email either. I dont want to patronize a political nutcase, be s/he right OR left. So they can go take their poor tasting food and politics and feed it to the hogs as far as I am concerned.

I did not have the pizza so I cant comment on the, self proclaimed, "best pizza in town" but did enjoy the atmosphere. The staff are all so friendly and attentive! Being summer I was guided to the coolest area of the restaurant. I had the house Devil Ale and it was fantastic. I ordered the Sausage sandwich with fries. The fries were crisp and fresh. My sandwich came on a fresh roll but it wasnt toasted. The sausage and the peppers were bland. I personally like spicy peppers, spicy sausage (From an Italian place), and a toasted roll. They only missed that fifth star because of my personal preference. Great atmosphere for a night out with the family.

Today was my Wedding day and its Valentines Day , well needless to say my husband and I decided to go to Red Devil for the first time. Not only did we get seated immediately but our server took our order and brought the foon out quick .. Well the amazement doesnt stop there... They heard it was our wedding day , so the hostess / owner offered us desert and then literally paid for our whole meal.!!! The food was great , the service was awesome and the owners were top notch. This is hands down our anniversary spot !!! I highly recommend this place
