We arrived to an empty restaurant with about 5 people working. The male server waived for us to sit wherever we wanted, but didnt greet us. We sat waiting for about 10 minutes and finally someone took our drink orders. It took just as long to get our food orders. After 50 minutes of arrival we got our food. It was okay. Definitely not worth the wait. We left and no one had anything nice to say about the experience. About 15 minutes passed and I noticed they double charged us for our meal. I admit we should of verified before leaving however due to our experience and time wasted we left as soon as we could because we had restless children with us. I called and talked to the Manager. He was rude and insulting. He accused our family of lying about the bill and said he was not willing to fix the error. Mind you... the error was only a $20 difference. To accuse our family of lying to make a quick $20 was beyond ridiculous. I would have accepted just a little sympathy or an offer to check our plates since we had just left..... something..... but to this day we never got the $20 refund or an apology. Worst experience ever. Id give a zero if i could.

This is the spot! I have been to Sushi restaurants all over the valley a lot of times you will hear a review that says "Its nice to get a decent restaurant in Gilbert", but this is the spot regardless of where youre at in the valley. Its very clean and modern with red and black theme that is just awesome. Its at least as good if not better than restaurants Ive been too including downtown Phoenix or Scottsdale. Their lunch specials are amazing all priced under $8 and includes things from Pho to a pork katsu bento to calamari tempura sushi rolls. Ive tried almost everything on their lunch menu and have never been disappointed. This place is almost never busy so if youre in the area dont forget to stop in because Id hate to loose this restaurant as my families go to place for lunch. Right now road construction makes people reluctant to patronize businesses here but fortunately Red Koi is located at a light so even making left hand turns into it or out of it makes it easy so dont let the construction deter you from stopping in!

Worst service I have ever had in my life. Never refilled drinks, my dinner came out 10 minutes before the appetizers and appetizers came with everyone elses dinner. My husband is allergic to onion and scallons came as garnish on his food. When we alerted our server to this he offered to pick them off. We explained that would still send my husband to the hospital he just took the food and walked away. No offer to remake or anything. Three of the 4 sitting at the table had empty drinks when the food came and never got offered refills. When we asked for our check it then took over 10 minutes to get the check and only after we asked a second time for it. The worst part is we went out to celebrate a birthday and the entire evening was ruined because of such awful service.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times and have never gotten a dish we didnt absolutely love. The food is always hot and delicious, the sushi is well prepared and plated beautifully. Even their made-in-house beverages are fresh and delicious (The iced milk coffee is seriously addictive). It isnt the kind of place where servers will sing you happy birthday or plaster on fake smiles, but the servers and staff are always friendly and happy to have us. I love the calm and simple decor and everything is reasonably priced for the amount and quality. Its our favorite place to go for sure. So if you are looking for something simple, quiet, and delicious, this is the place for you.

We are writing this as a couple of semi regulars currently leaving this place and trying our hardest not to swear it off forever. The sushi and value are great, as is the service save for the male server. The hours however are extremely inconsistent, with them changing from being open at midnight, to eleven, then ten, and now finally at nine. We always call to make sure they are open when we go, for obvious reasons. Then, we called today and asked about their late night happy hour. The male server confirmed it started at nine, but when we showed up he told us they were closed and could not make many items on the menu. We are extremely dissapointed to have made the drive for nothing.

We love this place. My wife and I go there often. Whenever we have something to celebrate, this is where we go. The Sushi is always fresh and the presentation is very nice. The wait staff is friendly and my water never runs dry, which is a HUGH plus for me. Even when they are busy, We still are taken care of. We have also had sushi for take out, it turns out wonderful. We also take our 2 year old here, and although he can be a handful, they are very friendly and respectful to us! The place is clean and has a warm feeling. No loud music. It is very relaxing, like a sushi place should be. I would highly recommend it.

Came by myself for a bowl of noodle aka pho. I am a fan of pho. So I looked and it was in walking distance from my office. I decided to give it a try. despite the price $10 for soup and the spring roll for a little app. I think with tip i spent about $20. It fulfilled my craving and I will be back. the server was friendly and the place was clean. 3 stars is actually all price related. the pho was great, not the best ive ever had, but i will be back. For me the location is what I like best and yes I will bring co workers and give a seconds chance at a 5 star experience.

Saturday lunch (happy hour all day Sat-Sun). Nice ambiance, very cold a/c, only 1 other group when we arrived, but 5 by the time we left. Ordered unsweetened iced green tea, Red Koi shrimp appetizer, Hawaiian BBQ beef short ribs, Honolulu roll, Spider roll. Fresh fish, great flavors, could have made a meal of the shrimp appetizer. Service was good. Sushi specialty rolls are a bit pricey, and a lot of rolls containing cream cheese, but some unique combinations and great non-sushi entrées. $75 w/ tip (did not order off the HH menu). Note: "Koi" is no longer on the business sign.

I have to say it was a bad to the worse experience my family has ever had. Let me start with how weak the miso soup was, then my Hibachi chicken was the thinnest piece of chicken I have ever experienced in a restaurant. All eight of us did not have anything good to say about any of the food their. Have to say some of the sushi was ok but had to wait quite some time for the garlic tuna roll and it was not worth the wait wouldnt even eat 2 pieces very discussing taste. I would not recommend or go back there. on a 1-10 scale I vote 1 . Bottom line very, very dissapointed!!

Service took a really long time, they got two out of three orders wrong at the table, got mine wrong twice (by putting something I said I was allergic to in and then sending me it back without taking the thing Im allergic to out), forgot my sauce, and then forgot about it again after I reminded them (and when it came it didnt even taste good). Plus, after cleaning his plate, my friend found a hair in his food. And to top it all off they charged me a dollar for extra sauce when I just asked for it on the side. At least it was kinda tasty...
