November 2012. Depending on what you order here, youll love it or hate it. If youre in a hurry, than your best bet is to order pizza by the slice, and choose from whatever is already made. For just under $7, you get two slices and a soda. The slices are big, and its pretty good pizza. I would not recommend ordering a personal 10" pizza; they tend to overcook the personal pizzas, and then youre left with a cheese crisp instead of a pizza. With the exception of two slices/soda combo, the food is kinda pricey. Sure, their sandwiches are huge, but Subway is next door and cheaper. The more often you frequent the place, the warmer the staff becomes with you. Not that theyre mean to strangers, but strangers tend to wait longer than the regulars. I feel its worth mentioning that you can get an ice cream cone for just over $2 here, and they have a good variety; I like the mint chip. I really like the look and feel of the place. They have this awesome brick wall thats original to the building. Theres big pieces of art hanging from the walls that are for sale. They have some old school pin-up lithographs hanging behind the counter. Most importantly, they have a big-screen tv with satellite service, and theyre usually playing something good like the History or Discovery channel. So long as I continue to work in the neighborhood, Ill eat here two-three times a week.

Quite frankly this place was disgusting with terrible service. I went with my wife and 3 yr old daughter Friday evening and they place was empty except a few people sitting at the bar. When we walked in the servers were all standing around a table in the dining area wrapping silverware, this was my first sign that something was off. Then when we went to place our order the server offered up an individual slice as an option that my daughter might like, she then came back to say they are low on dough and cant do the slice. First of all, how is a pizza place low on dough? Then we asked for garlic on our pie and she came back to tell us they are also out of garlic. So finally we get our pizza, and immediately just from the look of the ingredients I could tell the ingredients were not fresh. The peperoni had a funny color and the jalepenos were definately canned and looked soggy and old. As I ate my first slice I wondered if I might regret this later.... bottom line is this place needs some serious improvements, I think with new management it could be great. I did notice there was one girl that was running deliveries who really seemed to be on the ball. I wondered why they had her out running deliveries when clearly she would be a better value working the front of the house.

We went around 830pm and ordered some food to carry out. My husband and I both bought a drink at the bar. The one bartender was doing his best from what I could tell, with no other employees insight except an "of the clock" employee still in his uniform drinking at the bar. The off the clock employee kept stepping in to "help" despite loudly asking what the legal drinking limit was. He was clearly way over it. They bartender called this other employee "David". This was entirely unprofessional. My husband and I waited 1 hour and 48 minutes for our food (a 12 inch pizza and an order of chicken tenders). When we got back home we realized what a mistake waiting had been. 3 small chicken tenders cost us nearly $7!? And the pizza (prosciutto arugula) was bland and mostly uncovered on the top (1/3 cheese and toppings, 2/3 bland burnt crust). You left one person on to man the whole place on a Saturday night? In downtown Mesa? The poor busy bartender! Its just irresponsible of the scheduler. Lost our business for absolute certain. 2 hours is too long to wait for terrible food.

Ive eaten here quite a few times, and Queens consistently delivers a solid slice of pizza. A reviewer below described this place pretty accurately "not the best...but not the worst." I work nearby, and Queens is always good for a fast slice at lunch. It is the only place to really get a quick slice in Downtown Mesa. The decor is eclectic, while the brick walls give the place a cool feel. The service is solid as well. For the money, this is good place to get a slice of pie. And they even have an old table-top Mrs. Pacman too if youre feeling up to it. Essentially, if youre in the area and youre hungry, and you want some pizza, you should check this place out.

I eat out pretty regulary and it has been many, many years since we had such poor service. With two other small tables sat when we arrived, it took 55 min to get our food....for two salads and two sandwiches to arrive. Seventeen bucks for a tiny vegetarian sandwich, fries and small ice tea? If the wait staff would of been straight up it would have been easier to stomach the displeasure, but instead they misled us and other tables on how long it takes for food to arrive. Horrible value as well with miniature portions. What a waste of a cool location. Do not go here if you are visiting AZ, I would hate for you to get the wrong impression of our establishments.

Pizza was okay! The service was terrible. I believe the manager waited on me. First he did not even tell me the special. I over heard him telling someone else. I ordered the special which was two slices of pizza and a drink from the manager. He never ask what I wanted to drink I had to ask another server to get my drink. Then when my pizza was done he put in pizza oven by the bar and walk away to chat with other people. I ask the other server is that pepperoni pizza he said Yes. He cut me a slice. Then the manger rang it up wrong. He didnt realize I had the special. I ordered from you!!! The restaurant had 10 customers total including me.

I was a regular here but will not be returning again. You lost a loyal customer due to bad service and bad quality food. The last time I came the service was incredibly slow, and when we left we shopped around in the downtown Mesa area. About an hour later I returned because I had misplaced my wallet and our table still had all of our dirty dishes...an HOUR later. The server that wears a cardinals hat and glasses is lazy, slow and inconsiderate. I came back today to give it another chance, and their "Meaty" buffalo wings (as noted on the menu) were terrible, skimpy and extremely disappointing. Gross!

Couldnt even order. Their own website and Google both say that the main street mesa location closes at 10:00pm. I called at 9:04 and the person who answered the phone said that they are closed. I guess the last few reviews were right. Ive worked in several restaurants. I wanted to give then the benefit of doubt but if you advertised something you should really be able to follow through. I know that the 9:55 order is going to be annoying but thats your hours. This is just shy of an hour before closing. They should update the website to say "when we show up" - "maybe if we are still here".
