My first encounter with Thai food was in Alexandria, VA, just outside of Ft. Belvoir. The food was so hot, I was in tears, my sinuses drained right there at the table. It was painful and humiliating for a former resident of Texas who could pop jalapeño peppers. When I moved to Long Beach, CA, I found a great Thai restaurant, with flavors of mint, chili, curry and cilantro. It was heaven - spicy and flavorful. Osha Thai is of the second category of Thai food. It is spicy and full of the flavors of this magical land. The basil and chili dish will transport you; the fried rice is an artful blend of spices, vegetables and rice. I judge a restaurant on the simple things. Can they make decent fried rice. How is the Thai iced tea? In Osha Thais case, they pay attention to the details in every dish they serve. Not only do they taste good, but the presentation is artful and appealing.

We were visiting Scottsdale and decided to stop at this restaurant. Despite the fact that the place was empty, we were made to wait for 15 minutes before being seated. The staff did not seem to be interested in serving us at all. After being seated, we were not given any menu cards, nor were we served any water. We waited patiently for another 15-20 mins and requested for the menu cards. We were ready to place the order, but the staff did not seem to be interested in taking it. We called out for them once but they ignored us completely. At this point, we were so frustrated, we chose to walk out. The staff saw us leaving and did not bother to apologize or even ask why we were leaving. I would specially like to congratulate the owners and thank the staff for ruining my evening with my family! I would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

I have eaten at Osha Thai Cafe a few times and the food has been consistently yummy. The service however, is dreadful. This last visit I took a party of 5 for dinner. When we arrived there was no restaurant employee visible in the dining room at all, let alone to seat us. While drink orders were taken fairly quickly, we had to wait 15 minutes to order our appetizers. Even when the restaurant got busy, a waiter was hard pressed to be located, leaving us waiting 30 minutes on drink refills. We felt entirely neglected. It was not just us. Grumbles could be heard from a couple of the other tables about the complete lack of attention. If we do eat here again... it will most decidedly be take out.

Was a little disappointed with this place. I ordered take out and the person who took my order was very sweet. I ordered only three things, a thai sweet tea, sticky rice and mangos and the steamed fish. She warned me it would take a little while for the fish and that was fine. The sticky rice was good, but my tea was over brewed and my fish was fairly tasteless, it was only two tiny fish fillets for a whopping 15 dollars. If I was them I would of just served it as a whole fish. I was pretty disappointed with my first experience and I dont know if I will be back.

Absolutely incredible family owned with great personal atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and dishes that are all superb. My wife and I have been there many times always having something different. Never a quality or taste complaint. Sometimes th service is a little slow but all the dishes are cooked to order. Bring your own wine and have a great meal all the time .

Unacceptably slow service overall. Slow service and good food first visit. Second visit was seated promptly and then sat for 18 minutes with no service whatsoever. The sole waitress was clearly over-worked both visits - she was as helpful as she could be. We do not plan to return even though we live within two miles of the restaurant and like the food.

There arent too many good Thai restaurants in Arizona compared to Seattle where I am from. Osha Thai is better than most around Scottsdale and we order take out from them at least once a month. I recommend it although youre not going to get huge portions you will get fresh and flavorful food.

Delicious food, great service, and reasonably priced! Didnt think I liked Thai food until I ate here, but perhaps my previous experiences were at less-than-authentic restaurants. Has the often-valued quality, attention to detail, and originality of a family owned restaurant.

Got take out here. Had to wait at the front for about 5 minutes because there was no wait staff in sight. The pad thai was mediocre for the $10 it cost. I will most likely be checking out other Thai restaurants instead of returning to this one.

We love coming to Osha and have done so for 10 plus years. Many take out dinners and dining in. Food is top notch and the facility is always clean. Its a low key great dining spot with great staff. Pricing pretty reasonable being in Scottsdale.

I have been going to Osha Thai for years, Im a big fan. However, I wish they would put more meat in their entrees. For 11$ I would expect more chicken in my pad thai. With that being said...great food.
