Can I give it no stars?!? I tried to call in an order at 3:36 for 5:40 pick up. I was told it was too late, but I could still order in person and told to come in about 15 minutes before we wanted the food. My sister and I went in at 5:10 to order 10 combos and 1 salad. Garrett, who told us he was the manager, lectured us on how that is a large take-out order and we should have known to order 24 hours in advance. We were told we wouldnt get the food until 7 because it was so many combos. We noted it wasnt taking patrons 90 minutes to go through the line and we would just go through twice each with smaller orders. Garrett told us he would not allow us to do that because he knew wanted a larger order and we would be putting it on one credit card. We told him we would use multiple cards or cash. He told us we still werent allowed to place an order. We asked for contact info for corporation and owner. Then Monica came out and told us she was the manger and Garrett was not. We received another lecture about the inconvenience of customers ordering take-out and our failure to order 24 hours in advance. We spent 30+ minutes trying to get them to take our order. We left without food, but with a very bitter taste in our mouths. They could have put our order together in the time they spent lecturing and demeaning us over policies that are not posted online or in the store. This Zupas really wasnt interest in our business. Dont make the mistake of thinking it will welcome yours. The food at Zupas is usually great, but Im not sure Im going to ever go back.

I love Zupas. I go often. I have gone to several Zupas in Utah and even found zupas in other states. However, my complaint about ALL Zupas is how they rush you through the line. I know you are trying to serve many clients. I know people are in a hurry and want to eat but you rush people so fast that you are not listening to what the people order. If I go there by myself you hurry and ask what I want and move me along. Even though I am by myself, I often am ordering meals for grandchildren or others in my family. You are so intent of hurrying that you dont even ask if I would like to order other meals. Most people do not want to be rushed through eating. I am sure this must be a company policy because the same thing happens at ALL Zupas. RUSH! RUSH! RUSH! Slow down. You will serve the same number of people, you will get their order correct, people will feel relaxed instead of rushed and it will probably add about 10 seconds of politeness to each customer! Also, one small other complaint. When my salad was being made I noticed a piece of bad lettuce. I asked the server (a young lady) to please remove it. The guy next to her (the one adding the dressing) said "Its not a bad piece of lettuce. It has water on it." The female server looked and removed it. It was a bad piece of lettuce. Poor customer relations from the dressing guy. Listen to your customers and dont contradict them. But of course it is more important to rush people through than to listen to them.

Our family usually loves Zupas, but, I have to say that today was the worst "to go" experience Ive ever had! My son and I arrived with no one in front of us, and no one behind us in line. Additionally, I was ordering a sandwich and soup for my daughters; as a result, the server asked us to go to the cash register to order. It took a few minutes for someone to come and help us. Meanwhile, the lunch rush began and we watched many people order and then more people order and receive their food while we waited for our food. I left to get yogurt at the store next door while my son waited for our order, which was still not ready when I came back. It took over 20 minutes to get our food. The server who finally gave us our food was sweet and very apologetic saying that the ticket didnt get put in. She compd us 2 drinks while we waited and offered a dessert, but, we were just anxious to get our food and get home. Upon arriving at home we found that my sons sandwich was missing the bottom piece of bread, they didnt exclude the tomatoes as we requested on my daughters sandwich, and they gave me the wrong salad. On top of all of this, the salad was bitter tasting AND they didnt give us any bread or strawberries. With so many dining choices it will be a LONG time before we return to Zupas, and I wont ever order anything "to go."

I am a new Cafe Zupas customer. On my second visit to the restaurant (American Fork UT location) I ordered the Yucatan Chicken Tortilla Soup which is described as "loaded with chicken, tomatoes, corn...... fresh and satisfying," It was anything but. As the server spooned the soup into my bowl I asked, "Where is the chicken??" She looked at me and laughed but I told her I was serious. "look at this picture! The bowl is teeming with chicken!." She was ladling only broth into my bowl. After another request to see the chicken she grabbed a few chicken strips from the salad section and tossed them in the bowl. I could tell she was not happy about it, but I ordered the soup hoping for a good dose of protein and there was NO protein in that pot. After I paid for the food I sat down to eat. There was not a single kernel of corn in the bowl or hint of a tomato. I had asked for the tortilla chips on the side and was given salty crumbs. The broth was covered in grease and super salty. In the end I returned the soup and asked for my money back. I dont mind paying the extra money for healthy nourishing food, but I expect to get what I pay for. I would love to see food in these higher end higher priced fast food restaurants that actually resembles the photos and descriptions listed on their colorful menus.

Cant even tell you how many times my husband and I have been to this Zupas. I use to live bout 10 minutes away and my husband and I would eat here at least once a week. I really love Zupas, it are healthy option then going anywhere else and Im just a big soup, sandwich, and salad person. I have lots of favorites, I love the bbq chicken salad, nuts about berries, and the protein cob salad. As for soup I love Lobster bisque, Wisconsin Califlower, and Roasted Veggie. I never get sandwiches, my husband always does though and I always have a bite and there so good. So out of all the times Ive gone they have only messed up my order once, it was with the protein cob, they usual ask what kind of dressing you want because you can get ranch or fresh herb vinaigrette. I ordered it once and they didnt ask and just put ranch all over it. So I was like ummm i wanted the fresh herb vinaigrette (which is amazing) he was very sorry and started over on my order. Then one time I got the roasted veggie soup and it was very salty, the soups have never been salty for me but this one was very salty almost not eatable. My last complaint is portion size.. Sometimes I just dont get filled up. Sometimes feel like the salads are lacking ingredients on top to make it a full salad. Beside that the good out weighs the bad and I give you a 4 star.(:
