As a native Colombian I would say that this restaurant is very good. Their Bandeja Paisa is absolutely delicious, even though it is a dish you can only have once every blue moon, but still super yummy! Their Sancocho (a Colombian soup) is also very good, but unfortunately they dont serve it every day. I think my favorite dish is their roasted chicken (my husband, born and raised in the USA, calls it "Pollito") is my absolute favorite. I know that it sounds trivial to just eat roasted chicken at a Colombian restaurant, but their flavor just takes me back to Colombia. Dont forget, if you go, to drink a Colombiana (cola champagne soda), a Manzana Postobon (apple soda), or even the Pony Malta (kind of a non-alcoholic sweet beer - I know it sounds weird, but it is very good), or one of the juices from fruit Ive only seen in Colombia. Also, if you want to take home some stuff to make at home, they have a little store (or Tiendita) where you can purchase Colombian food to try at home (with instructions in English on the box). I really light La Tiendita and I only hope lots of success so that they only get bigger.

Place is filled with Columbian pride. Yellow, blue, and red fill the room. Waiter was attentive and had a cheerful demeanor. Answered questions with no hesitation. Knowledgeable of the menu. The empanada was ok, there wasnt much meat in it but the traditional flavors were there. Never had an arepa like theirs before, not sure if its a regional thing, either way it was still delicious. I had the Bistec a Caballo, the flank steak was cooked well, the tomato and onion sauce was delightful, the plantains were crispy, salad was traditional just how I like it with just oil, vinegar, and probably a dash of lime and salt, and the white rice was delicious. They have a little columbian grocer attached the to the restaurant, products a bit pricey, but sometimes you have to pay an extra dollar or two for the real stuff. All in all, good hospitality and great food. Will be coming back again!

Gracias.

This is a very great place if you want to have a quick lunch. They only have one lunch special on the menu and its chicken with rice with a salad. I ordered the passion fruit drink as recommended. The owners name is German and he explain all the different foods. After watching a novela I wanted to try a Colombian arepa. I had the cheese one and I know I wanted to take leftovers, but that was impossible. I would highly recommend this establishment. Also recommended is calling ahead and trying a whole rotisserie chicken meal for 11.99. The chicken is marinated and delicious.

In an old part of Mesa, dont let the area fool you. This is as unique as youll get here in the valley of the sun. Authentic Colombian food and drinks abound. One of the best cappuccinos Ive ever had. So good that I had to try the fruit drinks. Which led to the "peruvian style" chicken and pan. Im ashamed Ive never tried this food before. Delicious.

We got the 2 house specialties. Bandeja painea and arroz con pollo. Both were tasty. The Arroz con pollo was served with fries and salad. The salad was mostly lettuce and tomato. The fries felt like a weird side. Would have preferred beans. The bandeja painea was good.. but different. We also got the Empenada and Arepa both were very good.

Wow, Columbian food is fantastic! I had the quarter roasted chicken, 1 chicken and 1 beef empenada, and coffee. All fantastic. The owner told me they marinate the chicken. And it works so very well. They have a bright atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth a trip. Best value for food Ive had in Mesa!

Amazing authentic food. Took my girlfriends who are both from Columbia and they LOVED the food. Very impressed and so fun to try something new. Super sweet waitress who made an exception on getting lunch out for us early. Make sure to brush up on your basic Spanish!

This place was a bit slow on a weekday night but I think it must just be cause its a Wednesday night and they close soon, cause the food was really good and the owner came over, thanked me personally and shook my hand after dinner. I will definitely be back.

I love their food! So delicious and the portions of the entres were great. The empanadas were just smaller than I am used to but are yummy and I just wish they had more baked goods like deditos de queso and pan de yucca

Liked it a lot. It couldve been 5 starts but I believe the menu was skimpy. No so many dishes to choose from. Nonetheless, I appreciate the fact that I tried this place.

Great food and super friendly staff however, they rarely ever have bunuelos ready to eat which is the main reason we go to Colombian restaurants.
