They just lost my business. We walked in about 4pm and saw the placard at the bar that listed happy hour from 3-6. We double checked with our waitress who confirmed that is was indeed Happy Hour and that the Margaritas were $5. We ordered two Margaritas and our meal. The Margaritas were served and we were enjoying them when the waitress returned and told us there was a mistake and that it was not happy hour and the Margaritas would be $6.50 and $7 instead of the $5 Happy hour price we were quoted. As shes telling us this the guy at the bar is erasing the Happy Hour sign at the bar. We complained and the manager would not honor the advertised Happy Hour price. So if they are more concerned about making an extra $3.50 then their good will, they can keep it and lose our business. We will not return and we will tell all our friends in Kingman about this experience.

I went to this restaurant on 5th February and after watching and listening to two staff members (male and female) fighting with each other for at least three minutes, I finally had to interrupt them to ask for a take away menu. The print was so small I had to take it outside to read it under the brilliant sunshine. -- I returned and I sat at the bar to talk with a male staff member who wAs really helpful in advising me about the best items on the menu. -- I spent 15-minutes talking to him; however, when no one came to take my order i left and nobody seemed to care, -- I called to talk to Gilbert, the owner and he seemed totally disinterested in trying to assure me that he will try to do anything to improve this lack of customer service.

You cant miss the brightness of the building downtown kingman on the corner of Famous Route 66 and 5th st. They have very friendly staff ,most have been there for as long as I can remember, who are top notch in customer service and satisfaction. The food here is the " Real Star of this Show, its amazing, its my favorite mexican restaurant by far out of all the places I have traveled, yes even mexico itself. This is a definite must eat on this guides list and hopefully yours too This is Melissa Souser welcoming you to Kingman Az Have fun be safe and come back again soon.

Overall I think the food was pretty good, I have never been a one chicken size fits all for every meal. I ordered the mole poblano the sauce was a little weak but the fact that you just threw some boiled chicken on top of it didnt help. cook the chicken in the Mole. Same with the enchilada that had the exact same boiled chicken taste as the mole. We both had the chile relleno, it was good. Love that you gave a lot of salsa hot salsa and refried beans really did like your hot salsa the best. Was also nice to have some really good fresh brewed tea.

It was okay, but not what I was hoping. I wanted some good Southwestern food. It was generic tasting. We had better Mexican food back home in Alabama. It wasnt authentic. The one server was in way over her head with a crowded restaurant and it took us way too long to get in and out. She never had time to check back on us, so we didnt get everything we needed for our meal. We just had to eat it as is and run out the door... Well... Wait for 15 minutes to pay at the counter then run out the door.... Because it took so long to get our food.

We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant for lunch while traveling down Route 66 and gave El Palacio a chance. Wow! We loved the place. The staff was friendly, the food came quickly, and it sure was delicious. We were in time to enjoy the lunch menu, and couldnt believe how yummy the food was, and how much we got for the low price we paid. They served us fresh, hot tortilla chips with two different salsas and bean dip as soon as we sat down. Were recommending this restaurant to all our friends if they travel anywhere near Kingman!

We stopped at lunch. Restaurant wasnt full but only 2 servers. Ours was yelling at someone about how busy she was as we were seated. 10 minutes for her to get around to taking our drink order! The pork had an odd taste. The chicken enchilada was bland. The tacos al pastor tasted good but was dry. The server never came back to make sure food was ok or offer drinks. Took forever to get the bill and had to wait again for her to pick up payment. It took 90 minutes to get through lunch!!!

This is only four stars because I have the luxury of comparing it to many great restaurants. Considering its location, it is as good as it gets and one of the best Mexican restaurants in the region. It is California-style Mexican with sour cream and/or guacamole on nearly everything. They also only seem to use yellow cheese. If youre looking for Sonoran or Chihuahuan styles this is not the place. That said, the food is very good and the service rarely disappoints.

El Palacio is the best Mexican restaurant Ive found in Kingman so far.Although Im not big on trying new things when it comes to food,I do know what i like and El Palacio never disappoints.Being a California native,I have eaten in many, many Mexican restaurants and this is as close as it gets to what I grew up with in Kingman. The service is good and the prices are fair, but i think i became a fan as soon as i tried the Bean Dip!

The building was very nice but the food was bland and wasnt worth the price. The waitress was rude and unwelcoming but the worst was when the waitress picked up salsa from a table that had just finished their food and dumped it into our salsa. That is completely unexceptable! Who knows how much of that salsa is reused. I will never eat there again!

Quality is not what it was 5 years ago. Wait staff was not attentive to our needs. Lunch special was not honored though it was on the specials board when we walked in. They said it was only good till 3 pm and when I told them that they should erase it after 3 the manager just laughed at me. Will not be back again. Too many other good places to go.

All I have to say about this place is, this is the last time I go to a mexican restaurant with nuthin but white folks running it. Sorry salsa, rice-a-roni, zero bar service. I HOPE THIS WAS REPRESENTATIVE OF WHAT KINGMAN ARIZONA HAS TO OFFER. The chicken in the soft taco was boiled.......Yikes!!!!!

I love this place. I have been to this restaurant more times then i can count and have never had a bad experience. Thier food is great, the service is good and everyone is always nice and friendly. The only downfall is the size of the place because when its busy its crowded.
