I generally dont like to leave negative reviews for restaurants. I recognize the difficult schedules, busy mornings, and incredible amount of work it takes to manage and coordinate the kitchen, bar, and reservations desk. I think this is especially true for busy mornings. That said, I cannot let my experience pass unreported. This is an exception, do yourself a favor and please read. I have been wanting to try Snooze for some time. My first attempt was a couple of weeks ago. I passed my normal breakfast restaurant to try Snooze. At that attempt, I didnt even get to the reservations desk. While there were many people waiting, the staff were disorganized and not focused on appropriately processing those waiting. After standing at the reservations desk while two employees talked among themselves without recognizing me, and having a third arrive and simply shout over my head to other customers without so much as a cursory "well be with you soon," I walked out. Yesterday, I finally had the opportunity to try again. There were three of us in my party. We arrived early and were seated relatively quickly. The getting was much better, however the restaurant was permeated with an odor I recognize from working in a restaurant kitchen in the past as the dish-washing and garbage disposal process. After begin seated, the wait for our server was on the long side of reasonable given the restaurant was not busy yet. This is where things began to get worse. Our waitress was clearly high. Slow speech, half-closed eyes, slow pace, and persistent grin. What is worse, both my daughter and I saw our waitress stealing sips from customers drinks as they came off of the bar. She would take two clean straws, dip them in the Bloody Mary or Iced coffee, plug the end, then take a sip and deliver the drink. That behavior is simply inexcusable. Oh... and the food was mediocre at best. The OMG French Toast does not live up to its name. The Blueberry Danish Pancakes, while intriguing, were not tasty enough to keep the attention of an 11 year old. The Eggs Benedict were on-top of one muffin that was burnt on the bottom to the degree it couldnt be cut with a knife, while the other was underdone and simply fell apart underneath the egg. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to some of the other breakfast options.

The food is good and service is usually decent. However, they require a cellphone number to be seated. If you refuse to give a number the hostesses will become rude. This has happened 4 times. The are so lazy they wont call names. Just txt. I am standing 10 feet in front of you. Youve permanently lost my business. EDIT: Thank you for your response. Please inform your staff that it is not required to provide a mobile number. As they obviously dont seem to understand that. For those interested in the risks of providing your mobile number please read on. I am a cyber security consultant whom primarily performs threat/compromise assessments and Incident response. I specialize in malware and forensic analysis. Snooze, like so many other small companies, uses a third party software and service to manage their restaurant. What this means to you: your information is provided to multiple advertisement, information, and research firms. Just a confirmed number is worth $0.10-$1 per record. Provide a first name, its worth more, last name and its worth even more. Ever wonder how that telemarketer or surveyor got your info? Many times your data is not properly secured and is easily exposed to more nefarious individuals such as cyber criminals or "threat actors" (hackers). STOP GIVING YOUR INFORMATION WHEN EVER POSSIBLE. it is not necessary to simply get a table at a restaurant and puts you at risk. Using something as simple as Google a threat actor (hacker), or their associates can easily use your first name and phone number to aquire your email address, mailing address, and other important pieces of information. This makes you an easy target for fraud, identity theft, ransomeware, or just plain malicious behavior. Be aware of what you are giving away.

Fenominal Breakfast and coffee for a reasonable price. Located in old Town Gilbert, Snooze an A.M. is a great place to get breakfast. They offer classic breakfast dishes as well as classics that have been redefined. They also have a full coffee bar and offer a variety of coffee drinks. On my last visit, I got the corned beef hash that came with toast and two eggs. Although the portion they give is probably more than enough for most people, I also ordered a side of lox to go with my toast. Additionally, I ordered a hot mocha. The food was cooked perfectly and everything tasted delicious. They offered an option to add additional veggies to the corned beef hash for a small fee so I added mushrooms and jalapenos. The hot mocha was also very good too. My only complaint is that they are pretty small and there seems to only be one size. Even though Ive asked for a large on a couple occasions (including a togo order), the servers havent corrected me and mentioned that theres only one size. Lastly, service has been top notch on every occasion that Ive been there. This last time, I was seated at a table outside, and the moment it started to rain, a couple snooze employees setup a table umbrella for us. Finally, since it is located in old Town Gilbert, the environment outside of Snooze is very nice. When it is cold, they have space heaters in the back of the restaurant. You can also sit outside in the front of the restaurant and they have a really nice fire place. All in all, I recommend you give Snooze an A.M. Eatery a try. I know you wont be disappointed.

I have been here several times and tried a good variety of the things on the menu. The Chilaquiles Benedict are something I havent really seen elsewhere in the area and theyre fantastic, especially if you dont want to worry about eating too much. Make sure to check the pancake of the day because that has definitely changed my order twice already. The best thing I personally found on the menu though are the Blueberry Danish Pancakes which also happen to have a lemon cream cheese filling. The tartness of the lemon offsets some of the sweetness so it makes it a real treat to eat. Ive only gone on the weekends so be sure you have time because youll be looking at anywhere from 40-60 minutes for a wait unless you get there really early. Its worth it though, really friendly staff and the food is out pretty quick. My honest recommendation is to put in your name with the host and then head across the street to Bergies Coffee Roast House. Snooze asks you for your phone number so they can text you when your table is ready which means no worry about losing your place if you do decide to wander around the area a little.

My husband and I have dined here numerous times and the food has never disappointed. The retro style decor gives the place a fun vibe and fits perfectly with the vintage theme of historical Downtown Gilbert. They have both a front and a back patio which is important to me during the beautiful winter and spring months. The only downside, and the reason I didnt give 5 stars is that they no longer serve food on the front patio like they did when they first opened. Im not sure why this is, and its quite puzzling. There are 6 high top tables on the front patio that are generating zero revenue. This place seems to always be on a wait so I find this to be odd. My husband is a regional manager for a popular restaurant chain and he is quite puzzled by this as well. Besides that, we do love the food and the service here and will definitely continue dining here. Servers Christie and Bianca are outstanding!!
