Ive been here three different times. Its an older golden corral restaurant which is probably why everyone is freaking out. Steak center was great. They really treat you good there. I didnt want the full steak so they cut it in half and gave me half. Also, I went here six months ago with my x and her daughter. I also went here with my mom before she died. Both times this place was very clean and we all enjoyed the food and had a great time. The service there was great. The desert bar absolutely amazed me! It was very clean with all sorts of fruits that you could dip in the chocolate fountain. A lot better than any of the other golden corrals in Alabama. Others are nastier with horrible service and are extremely unclean. This place was clean, friendly, and tasty, not to mention helpful. Im coming back here with my new wife and well both continue to eat here for a long time.

Ate dinner there tonight, should have known when we pulled in and saw that it was not busy at all that there was a reason, and we should have left, the food was not fresh I asked for a medium steak twice both times got a medium rare, deviled eggs were bad must have been sitting there all day, when we left both me my husband and our daughter have been in the bathroom with diarrhea and when I say diarrhea I mean pure water flushing us out, will never ever eat there again and suggest nobody else does they need to be shut down. Believe me I will read reviews before eating at another restaurant.

Ok, so look, its a Golden Corral. You basically know what youre going to get. The food is ok. The service is ok. The cleanliness is...well, its a Golden Corral. There is a better selection than there used to be, so theres that. They have steak on the buffet, of course. What cut, I couldnt tell you. I mean, theyre all basically the same, right? You go there, pay a few bucks, eat until you cant take it anymore, then chug Pepto for the next few days. It is what it is.

My rating is 5 stars because... I have visited several Golden Corrals all over the country. The Pelham, Al location is one of the best. The interior and exterior are quite outdated but the food is delicious. Pot Rost Pork with mashed potatoes is my favorite for lunch. Breakfest omelete which they make fresh right in front of you is even better than omelets from Ihop. They always have plenty food and they ran ouy they always refills. Price $9 per an adult is unbeatable.

Service, selection and taste were good, and lunch prices were resonable, but then I went into the restroom and saw the neglect and wondered about the cleanliness of the kitchen. So bad I didnt tell my party till later to avoid spoiling it for them. Management needs to do more than surface clean to get rid of the dust and film. You cant miss the dust build up on the bathroom doors.

The dishes had food still on them.Looked like they only washed the tops.Had to dig through the dish stack to find a clean plate.The utensils were dirty as well.The food wasnt fresh.The ribs were actually cold and the steak was dry.The bathrooms are bad.The only thing good here was our waitress.She was very polite and provided great service.Will never eat at this location again.

Food is good. Owners are missing out on lots of business by not renovating bathrooms and carpet on floor. Bathrooms need exhaust fan vented to outside to keep odor out of food service area. Also, paper towels are needed in bathrooms to allow exiting with clean hands not contaminated by handles and faucets. Predict the place wont last long if something is not done.

Just about what youd expect from a buffet style free-for-all... Lots of options, but nothing of incredible quality. Good honey butter biscuits, though! A little messy during my visit but they were also very, very busy. If you enjoy buffets, and arent upset by undercooked rice and other such issues, youll be fine!

Not constantly good food. Of course it does help to go at busy times so food stays fresh but we have been there at peak hours and were disappointed. It has been very good before so that we continue to try it again from time to time. Just been disappointed the last few times dont know if well give it another shot.

Not 1 single drink refill was ever brought. 1st piece of steak was raw, second was gummy and fatty. Most of the food has a synthetic taste to it. Total waste of money in comparison to all the truly awesome restaurants in the area. If youre reading this, please go elsewhere and spend your money wisely.

Not a bad place to go for a buffet, huge selection of food and most of it is pretty good. However the last time my husband and I went there, our stomachs hurt afterwards. That may or may not be linked to going there. Still a pretty good place to go for a cheap meal.

I ate at the Lorna road location a couple weeks ago and the food was good enough to inspire a return to golden corral. I just wish I would have returned to the Lorna road location because the food here sucks! Its got WAY too much salt in it.

$23 for one adult, one child, and a glass of tea. Plates were dirty. Food was ok. Service was great! I would go somewhere else next time though, as I am not a power-eater and could have ordered enough food for less money elsewhere.

Reasonably priced buffet with tasty options in a clean atmosphere with a level of service and interaction you just dont see from other buffets. Great place to fill up at midday when youre gonna be too busy later on to stop for food.

A dog ate off a ladies plate. It was a teacup Yorkie looking dog and customer said it was a service dog. Yeah, okay! Food was good and lots of choices. People shouldnt take advantage of service dog tags! Sometimes dishes are dirty.

Breakfast buffet was really good and fresh! I dont traditionally do buffets but breakfast turn over made the food fresh and hot! They had an omelet bar and its prepared in front of you with the ingredients you request!

As a worker I can say that golden corral isnt really the perfect restaurant but its not about being the perfect restaurant its about how we treat customers and give them the delicious food they desire
