Certainly WILL NOT be going back here EVER again. I went to get an order to go for a late lunch and the owner/manager was VERY rude and came storming into the main foyer to yell over the hostess and announce to me that they were closed. Who in the hell speaks to their customers like that?! No where that Im going to be loyal to, thats for sure. Aside from that their OPEN sign was ON, their door was unlocked, and I was behind a girl getting A TOGO ORDER. I will NEVER GO HERE EVER AGAIN. Sushi café is a 100 times better, their sushi is fresher, their helpings are bigger, and their service is friendly and faster. Dont go here. The manager/owner is a freakin ass.

I had an overall enjoyable meal at Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. I will say, if you go here do not go if you are only a little hungry. You get a lot of food for what youre paying so go with an empty stomach. Also Id advise telling them ahead of time if you have a shellfish allergy and you want to do the hibachi. They normally cook the chicken and shellfish on the same grill with the same utensils for each. Just a tip. I still recommend this to anyone looking to try Japanese if you are in the Montgomery area. The food is good but the manager/owner is a very greedy and money hungry individual. She only seems to be concerned with how much money she can collect and she does not care about the customers, just the money that they bring to her business. I had a really disturbing situation happen today, and although I have been a regular, I will NO longer frequent this establishment. It may not matter if I do or do not come back - but I just want people to know that MONEY is what she really cares about and all she seems to care about and that is very sad!!

The food is good but like someone else said they will FORCE you to tip. I always tip 18-20% (if not more) but there were only 4 ppl in my party (2 couples, our checks were separate) I could understand if we had a large party but 4 ppl isnt large and they said it was and were very rude about it. Also wanted to note that I asked a really large white party (they were celebrating a graduation) had they been forced to tip and they said no. Very interesting

Having eaten at several of these hibachi styled Japanese restaurants, I found this one to be little different from the rest. Nothing at all to write home about. The food was good and the seafood fresh, but the portions were much smaller than expected. I wasnt let down enough to say I cant recommend Kabuki, Ive just had better. Oxford, ALs Yume is much, much better than this.

Total scam. We went there and they added $12.95 to our bill for a tip for the cook per couple. No where on the menu was that specified. I have no problem with tipping however I do not like to be forced into it. With that said the food was mediocre at best and service was lack. So if you go to eat there be prepared for a extra hidden fee for crappy food.

Based on my one experience here, I wouldve given it one star. I ordered sushi for lunch and it was AWFUL. Lukewarm, lacking in texture, and definitely not the fresh flavors that make sushi so awesome when done right. Ive heard they do great hibachi, but I have yet to try it for this. I cannot recommend the sushi at all, though.

Im not a sushi person so i cant comment on that aspect of the restaurant, but i find the hibachi food be greatly lacking. Compared to Shogun or Miyako i found the steak very bland and their teriyaki sauce on the chicken to be horrible. The rice was good though. The establishment is nice inside, the staff were friendly.

Great service, and the food is fantastic. It is a bit small and can get very overcrowded on certain nights. In all, if you want your food to go, you dont have to deal with the crowd. But if you want the food and the show that comes with it, be prepared to wait when its crowded. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a very unkind experience when I ordered to-go last time. Seems like they forgot how to serve their customers now, since they have customers keep coming anyways. And there are many better japanese restaurants in mtown now. I dont want to go visit here anymore.

Dinner was great. Just wish that the night was a little more lively, i go there to eat and be entertained. The chef was great. I miss yhe last Japanese steakhouse we used to go to, they squirted saki.

Didnt add as much sugar as other hibachi places (good thing). The salad with house dressing and onion soup were very good. The server wasnt as entertaining as some other hibachi places though.

Chef didnt cook my chicken and shrimp all of the way. Went to tell them and they got attitudes and cooked it the exact same way. It was terrible. Only hibachi restaurant Ive complained about.

Food was tasteless. I had the shrimp and chicken. Everything just tasted like a burnt grill. A waste of $30.00 for sure. The show was good but I came for the food. Dont believe the hype.
