Good food, however service was sub standard. Wont go back. We were not informed about the bar/restaurant closing after lunch service. We were presented with the check before asking if we needed anything else. We found hair in our food. The manager was gracious enough to remove the item from the bill. Having spent a substantial about of time in Japan, I can say this restaurant by NO mean displays the traditional Japanese hospitality. You felt like you were being rushed through your meal because they were closing.

I have been to this restaurant several times. The food is always great. Here is why I did not give the restaurant 5 stars: The first time I ate here, the waitress spilled a whole glass of tea onto the table and it poured into my lap. If that was my restaurant, I would have given them a new table and the meal would have been on the house. Neither happened. I had to asked for a new table, and was never even apologized to. All the other times that I have been here, everything was great though.

We traveled in from Boston, and had very low expectations but we though wed take the risk. The sushi here was really great, creative combinations beautifully presented. the service was great, servers very friendly and polite. The prices were low comparative to what were used to paying in Boston, so I cant comment on how they are relative to Alabama. A great place Id recommend to any of my friends -if you love sushi come here.

used to love this place and have been there multiple times but lately its like the rice is old or something because my boyfriend and I could take left overs home and have them for lunch the next day, store in the refrigerator and not worry about it but the past 3 times Ive taken it out of the refrigerator to eat the next day and the rice was terrible and it stunk, think weve decided we wont be back.

I went at lunch time. It wasnt too crowded which was nice however, it took a while for us to get our food and when we did get it they brought it out all at different times. We got our main dish first and then about five minutes later they brought out our rice. The good was good though. I love the bento boxes.

The service was great, but the hibachi menu was not worth the price. They would not make shrimp fried rice on the hibachi grill. The chicken I ordered was so dry, I could not eat it. Mostly rice, and lo mein, not much vegetables or chicken. 15$ meal that I could have made at home for 5$

If you cant cook certain things on thr grill, they shouldnt hand you a menu with stuff on it that you think you can have. Its embarassing to be told you cant have that. The tea is not very appealing and the waitresses are not good on people skills.

Excellent food and staff. Hibachi is amazing, especial Chef Rhens. Also: the sweet potato roll is amazing. Dont let the fact that its on the vegetarian menu put you off.
